[Ninja MOC] - Meditation on the Fallen
XimenaPaulina replied to TheWarden's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nicely done The Warden! I like the 'snow in the rocky mountain' effect. The waterfall is of course neat, as well as the small details such as the wind-blown flag and the meditating pose of the ninja. -
Wow, that's truly a great MOC! Above anything else, I love the massiveness of the tree body, the bulkiness and uneven surfaces gives it a very realistic look. The positioning of the leaves is also just right to make it a 'lush and rich' tree. Of course, the band of Forestmen, going about their daily activities, is classic. Job most impressive ISC!

What a lovely MOC full of love! I love how you made six (yeah I found 'em all) uniquely-built hearts of different sizes. I'm pretty sure your wife will forget about you ignoring her when he sees this creation. Fantastic work HAGGAR!

Haha.. Nicely done, very funny vig! Gotta love the evolution of those 'dogs'! The two-toned legs for the torn pants is brilliant! I suppose that white droid arm is a bone, so why don't he just let go of that bone so the dog(s) would leave?

Another impressive creation AC! This transport base reminds me of some sort of WWII deployment ship with its boat-like shape and the front and side opening docking bays. It's nice to see it could hold up those numerous troopers, speeder bikes and a couple of AT-STs. Also love the flight effect.

Ebay fails me... And how to trust Bricklink?
XimenaPaulina replied to Artifex's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I kinda agree with this one. Always remember, that ebay is a site for selling general items, while Bricklink is specifically intended for selling Legos. So most likely BL sellers are more experienced in handling legos compared to ebay sellers. It ain't a guarantee, but most likely you'll have better satisfaction in BL. -
Ebay fails me... And how to trust Bricklink?
XimenaPaulina replied to Artifex's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I too share the same apprehension as you when I was starting to buy legos online. Luckily, I've never experienced any unfortunate transactions both from ebay and BL. Between the two, I actually prefer BL more, because all my transactions in BL have all been 100% satisfactory. There were a couple of instances that I had missing pieces off my BL order, but the sellers either sent the missing piece(s) free-of-charge or gave me a discount on their store. Like what the other members said, you should carefully examine the seller's feedback rating before making a purchase. Remember that their feedback ratings tells a lot on what type of person/store they are. -
Japan Samurai - Takeda Shingen

Wow those are pretty darn good custom samurais, love those armors and flag thingys. -
Oh my, what a lovely little set. Thanks for taking us back down memory lane 'The Cobra' with your great review. I'm a sucker for classic town so this is an excellent set for me. For a little set, you get a man and a woman (both in undies ), a bike, and a nice selection of pieces (esp. the pinks). I ain't in the target girls market but I really appreciate Paradisa sets like this one.

I've just recently rekindled my love for classic town after reacquiring the town sets I lost during my childhood and I'm currently planning building a simple town based on late-80s/early-90s sets. I know the modern sets are really highly-detailed and great-looking, especially the modular buildings and the vehicles with the upgraded sleek looks. But for some reason I still like the simple beauty of the classic town - those simple buildings, 4-wide vehicles, road plates with grass on the sides, and the classic smiling lego faces.

That's a pretty good city layout, a good collection of recent CITY sets. I'm sure you'll be able to improve it once you acquire some of the upcoming CITY sets.

That's one pretty massive crane, good idea to combine 2 cranes to create a bigger one. Looking forward for your motorized version.

This is a pretty good set, I actually like the overall technic design and it's easily recognizable as an SBD. For a relatively cheaper price compared to the BD, I'd say it's a good bargain if you want to grab your first SW technic set. Thanks for another nice review Dfenz.

From what I see, the Republic symbol looks like a sticker, and applied on TWO arches at the back! I'm not also a fan of the SOMPs.

Welcome to Eurobricks HAGGAR! Nice introduction, hope to see you active in the forums. Enjoy!

Bonjour Tony_st170, welcome to Eurobricks! I'm very much impressed by your massive collection. I wish I have even just a quarter of your collection.

Welcome aboard Bendybadger! It's nice to hear you've rediscovered your interest in lego. Enjoy the forums here. -
Hi Zanki and welcome to Eurobricks! Glad to hear more and more FFOL joining our online community. Your bf is one lucky dude as you share the same passion for lego. And your problem with numerous minifigs is 'good' problem to have, how I wish I had more MFs. Well, I hope you enjoy the forums here. See you around!

Welcome to Eurobricks Klementina! I've seen your wonderful wedding MOC and I'm still not over it (it's that a great build). I hope to see more of your creations here. BTW, how come your user tag isn't LADIES when you're an FFOL?

I think only the mods can add the poll to someone's review, or if the reviewer is already a Knight (and up) he could add his own poll. I don't mean to mini-mod but I think this type of post (personal and off-topic) is better sent using the PM function.

Review: 20016 Mini Imperial Shuttle
XimenaPaulina replied to Inconspicuous's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Excellent review as usual, thanks for sharing this with us Sir! It's nice to see the comparison of this new mini-IS with the older version. Both look almost exactly the same at first glance, except for the cockpit. I prefer the old one even though its printed since the cockpit clips of the new IS is too exposed IMO. -
Very nice vignette, truly a unique idea. Good job Piotr! I like the build of the background, looks very realistic with the real videogame (a screenshot reference would have helped). The graphic healthbars are nice too, it's better that way than brickbuilt IMO. But I have to agree with Dunjohn, Ken's hair does look a bit odd, he doesn't have a ponytail afterall. Luke's yellow hairpiece would have been better. But still, great overall work.

I'm no expert in modular buildings, but I must say those are really very good creations. Nice job on these Alibabo. I like the corner store better, love to see the mini adidas shop. I also like the orange signage in the brown house, that's suppose to be a hamburger right?

Another wonderful creation marcosbessa, excellent job indeed! I love the clever use of the 1x1 clip light plates and the 1x1 tooth plates for the decorations. Keep your beautiful creations coming.
