Nice MOC erao, the car does resemble the time machine in BTTF, though it's a bit taller than the real one. But still, the doors are cleverly built.
-
Nice little vig Kubik-Rubik, very well done! The Matrix-bullets are definitely the highlights, the water squirting out of the hydrant is a nice touch too. A small nitpick would be the hydrant's size (a bit large). But overall, everything is great!

Hello gordongordon and welcome to Eurobricks! I'm sure you'll enjoy it in here, especially the Castles forum. Lucky you you have a wife who shares your passion of LEGO. -
Thanks Smack! I think the blue color does work pretty well for Rex's Torrent Company since they have blue markings. That's why I'm quite proud of this one, because unlike most of my MOCs which I plan very systematically, this was was just a random build which turned out pretty well.

Another nice ship Darkblane, I love the dual top-bottom glass cockpit. The Arctana is better IMO, but this is still a pretty good ship. Can't wait to see the rest of your ARC series.
-
Oh my, what a very impressive-looking ship! It doesn't look like a first-time AFOL spaceship MOC to me, it seems like you're already an expert. I love the overall design of the ship, the orange color scheme is interesting and the details are just great. Great job Darkblane!

Review: 30073 Buzz's Mini Ship Promo Set!
XimenaPaulina replied to SuperChris's topic in LEGO Licensed
Pretty good review for your first one, good job SuperChris! I actually like this promo set, if only I could get one. -
Yeah I agree, Grievous is supposed to be really tall (2.13meters), but not twice as tall as regular persons (eg. clones = 1.83meters). But I guess DutchRebel has no choice but to compromise the proportion to get the real look of GG right. Anyway you look at it, it still is an impressive build.

Thanks LegoDad42. The white-blue color scheme does seem fit well with Rex's color. I think I'll just make this speeder bike specifically designated to Rex's Torrent Company, to separate from the official Republic's dark red color.
-
Nicely done Davor, I like the smoothness of your LAAT/c, though a few studs here and there would have given a 'rough-spot-battle-damaged' detail on it. And yeah, the curved spine should have also been there. It would also have been better if it can actually carry something (that's the purpose of the ship afterall)

@ Daniel's Dad, lightningtiger, brickfoot: Thanks for the comments. @ lightningtiger: I would have wanted Rex to ride this one, it matches his colors very well, Unfortunately, I don't have the Rex fig (yet). @ brickdoctor, -R8-: I preferred to do the blue trims on white since it looks a lot 'cooler' IMO, though you're right that it's not consistent with the Republic's dark red color. @ The Legonater: Yeah, it does look like it's a cold-temp bike, I made this with the 'Trespass' episode-speeder bikes in mind. Like what existing speeder designs? From what I know the design is totally different from the official speeder bikes. As far as speeder bike MOCs are concerned, I'm not really familiar with any because, like what I said above, I just randomly built this speeder bike from scratch without any reference pic/MOC whatsoever.

Thanks for sharing this review with us Dunjohn! I'm never really a fan of the LEGO games concept, but I have to agree with Svelte that it's a good source of parts, but apart from that, I find nothing special about this one. Nevertheless, great review! And I like the 'Attack of the Zombies' in the end!

Wow, that's a truly amazing plane, great job on this one Davey! The red-yellow highlights on dark bley is an interestingly effective color scheme, I love it! And the details are just great.

Welcome to Eurobricks Ryan! I'm sure you'll enjoy the Town forum here? May I ask, what happened to your previous town collection? Lemme guess, were they sold?

I just want to share with you guys my latest MOC, which is probably the simplest of all my MOCs but is pretty special to me. This one started on one of those lazy days, I’ve got nothing to do, and out of nowhere I had an idea to create a speeder bike for my clone army. So I went through my excess parts bin and started randomly building, and after about 15 minutes Voila!... I now have my own custom speeder bike. The design is loosely based on the shape of the BARC speeder, so I just named it as the BARC-X Speeder Bike (how creative ) Other Views: That's it, I hope you like my version of the speeder bike. C&Cs are welcome!

Nicely done, that would be the perfect size for Grievous, thanks for correcting the (usual) flaws made by TLG. Amazing job Dutch Rebel! DutchRebel, maybe you could take a comparison photo with a regular minifig so we could verify Brickdoctor's claim that GG's taller than what he should be? I'm also curious about that.

Thanks for the excellent review Jammiedodger! Now i have a better appreciation of the whole set after seeing your review. For me it's a pretty decent set, but something that I won't bother buying because of the fact that I'm never a fan of missized walkers. If ever I wanted to have an AT-AT, I would rather create my own in true minifig size. The positive thing about this set is the new minifig parts, particularly the new Han torso and Luke's updated detailed helmet. I also happen to like the new white-pupiled faces, which are good details IMO.
-
Same here, I was never a fan of this one, and probably will never be. I don't mean to disrespect fans of this set but for me, there is no element of this set that attracts me to buy it. Instead of wasting my $$$ on this set I would rather buy parts from BL and make my own better-looking vigs.
-
Excellent comprehensive review for a truly classic set, Inconspicuous, a job very well done! As for the set, I think this is a pretty good one with lots of small vignettes and exclusive minifigs. It's pretty special since it shows us the various scenes that happened in Cloud City. But even if this is regarded as one of the classic sets, I still wouldn't buy this one (even if I have the budget), because of the inaccuracy of the build. I would still prefer to go the 'long way' and make myself a better MOC of the vigs, just like ACPin's Crabon Freeze Camber and Brickdoctor's "I am your Father!" scene, just to name a few.

Castle : Horse drawn Carriage
XimenaPaulina replied to Solitary Dark's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Lovely carriage 'mookage', great job on this one! I like it a lot! It looks very spacious inside, I assume it can fit 4 (or more) figs?
