Pretty good news desk SilentMode. But I gotta agree with them, it still needs cameras, mic dollies, graphics background and additional details. But that's already a good start and hoping to see that in brickform soon.

With the thousands in attendance (in this forum)... And the millions around the world watching in television (not really)... Uhmmmmmmmmmmmm.... LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!! Introducing first, in the Red Corner, standing 41.61mm tall and weighing 4.8 grams, fighting out of Denmark and representing The Lego Company, AAYLA SECUUUURA... And in the Blue Corner, also standing 41.61mm tall and weighing 4.8 grams, the fighting pride of Taiwan and representing Arealight Custom Work, AAYLA SECUUUURA... LET’S GE IT ON!!! Some comparison pics (courtesy of Roland :: Nienke via flickr ) Which Aayla will win this fight? Cast your votes now to determine who’s the better Aayla of the two. ADDED: Reference pic of the Clone Wars Aayla Secura to help you decide. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My own verdict: At first, without the benefit of a comparative analysis, I thought Arealight’s Aayla was the better one mainly because of the unique custom curved torso and cheaper price. But after taking a closer look at both versions I realized that TLG’s Aayla has more accurate details (Lekku shape and print, face details, torso prints, headgear) compared to Arealight’s. I never thought I would say this, but TLG’s Aayla is better in terms of overall design, while Arealight’s Aayla wins in the price battle. I already have Arealight’s Aayla, and I would also love to have TLG’s Aayla in the near future (if not for that steep price!) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, Kit Fisto has already made up his mind and went for the 'hotter' chick... I love the perspective shot! The space slug is also good. Nicely done Skafte.

I'm really enjoying following your holiday adventure JD! I gotta say those outside shots are lovely, it really looks like your sigfig is enjoying every bit of his vacation.

I don't know if it was proper for me to post another contest idea in this topic started by ThatGuyWithTheBricks, but maybe we could use this thread for members to throw their contest ideas in mind? (That is, if there's no existing similar topic; if there's one already, kindly disregard this post.) I think it would be great to hear the voices of our members. Who knows, future EB contests might come from regular members' ideas.

Too large signatures annoying
XimenaPaulina replied to Superkalle's topic in Forum Information and Help
I think it would be better if there is a way for the board to automatically remove signatures beyond the maximum size limit. I remember I committed a similar mistake in one online forum and they automatically removed my over-sized sig, so I had to comply and resize it to the proper dimesions. -
When and what will the next themed month be?
XimenaPaulina replied to Joey Lock's topic in Forum Information and Help
Stupid is such a strong word you might pierce the hearts and drew the ire of HP fans. I would also love to have a TS month, but it's highly unlikely since TS3 has gone past already, while HP is just about to come. -
That's one massive great-looking entry you got there Josh. I assume this is Star Wars-related right? What's the story behind this one? We'd love to know more (and see more detailed shots).

Welcome to Eurobricks Thrund! Enjoy the site.

Nicely done Diidy! I really appreciate this MOC for the simple reason that I work in a real one, and I can attest to the accuracy of the basic elements of a working lab - the computer, microscope, research books, mobile cabinet, lab. stool, petri dishes, etc. But what I was most impressed is the use of the jewels as Erlenmeyer flasks - they are the same shape and the diff. colors simulate different chemicals inside. And the lab. guy holding the flask with the tong is really nice. Only thing missing is some sort of custom lab.coat, which I've seen some MOCers have done.

Of course our civilization is far behind the SW universe technology-wise, we don't need to be too technical or too 'physics-nerdy' about this idea. What I was simply trying to tell is if you could do a futurized version of the X-Wing (or anything for that matter), how would it look like in brickform? It doesn't matter whether it's Year 2100 (it was just an example btw) or Year 4567, or from whatever universe/dimension/theme/timeline it came from, as long as you make a future version of something - that's the whole simple concept of my suggestion, no need to complicate anything.

Nice diminutive Falcon! Very recognizable for such a tiny build. Good job once again.

I like how you did the small portion of the sandcrawler, making it look like it was cropped out from the sandcrawler. The exploding effect of the red droid is pretty clever too. Overall, nicely done for a small vig.

Lovely paradise! Seeing this makes me wanna go on a vacation on a similar island like this one. I simply love the right combination of landscapes, greeneries, and waterforms. The roasted 'babe' (pig) and the swimming babes - Great job 'evildead'!

Yeah I agree. It's really kinda weird having the AT-AT under CW. It's either just a blatant error or TLG's classification is, as you said, worthless.

Comic Con Star Wars CubeDudes Review
XimenaPaulina replied to Mariann Asanuma's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No worries, I didn't notice it too, it's only eagle-eyed Chunky who noticed it. And yeah we have to respect Angus' designs, and it's a bit ungentlemanly to prematurely ask the lady for scanned instructions this early. If there will be chances for us to recreate this unique cubedude creations it will eventually come, just be patient guys. -
And to a lesser extent, to General Grievous That's truly one menacing monster - an embodiment of brute force. I could just imagine how it "Alpha-male growls" ala-King Kong. Great job on this 'UsernameMDM'!

Comic Con Star Wars CubeDudes Review
XimenaPaulina replied to Mariann Asanuma's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think Mariann positioned the top "fin" of the helmet incorrectly. It should be in the middle, along the lines of the black visor of the helmet, and not sideways. -
Now I see, it just confirms my initial hunch that the black discs cannot be angled in such a small space through legal connections. Anyway, I'm still impressed on how you did that brickfoot.

Upon reading this topic, I've had this contest idea pop out of my mind out of nowhere, I don't know if this was done before but here it is: Name: "Futurized" Contest Scope: All themes Concept: To create a futurized version of an item, minifig, vehicle, building, or any element specific to a theme. By futurized means a version of something you project to see well into the future, say Year 2100 onwards. Examples: A futurized version of a Pirate ship, or a futurized Castle, a futurized City bus, a futurized X-Wing, a futurized lawnmower, a futurized Spongebob, and so on and so forth. Categories: Small, Medium, Large Prizes: To be determined by the mods. Wouldn't it be cool if we could provide a glimpse of the future using our creative imagination and realizing it in brickbuild? That's the whole concept. Just my simple suggestion.

When and what will the next themed month be?
XimenaPaulina replied to Joey Lock's topic in Forum Information and Help
Seconded. I'm not really a fan of HP, but if it's just the two of us against many of them, our voices will be drowned. But still, it would be cool to have a new themed month once again. It's up to our mods to decide. -
Great JSF design gambort. I admire your unique approach and coming up with a rather impressive design. I gotta admit your design is much better than my JSF MOCs (which is mainly an improved version of TLG's JSFs). I like the smoothness of the wings, and how you managed to make front tapered to a point (unlike TLG's and my MOC's versions). The back flap and rear area is also nicely done. A couple of suggestions: - Make the blasters smaller. - The rear part (behind the cockpit) should be grey on the top, yellow on the bottom - And if you could add a wedge-shaped yellow highlight in the wings to approximate Anakin's JSF's real colors. I would love to see this in brickform (any plans?), and in other JSF colors as well.

Yeah but I still can't figure out how the discs were angled to form a sphere.

Great MOC Chris! I like how you did the king's dining cottage and the prince's white one. Also, it's the first time I saw those printed mushrooms, from where they are from? Who wouldn't? I would love to stay there if I can.

Pretty good catapult, mattb483. It does look it ain't built for playing but I think it's ok for display purposes.
