Five Steps to Enlightenment through Combat
XimenaPaulina replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Town
Nice. Pretty basic build but gets the job done for the dojo. -
Wow, this is a truly a lovely lego neighborhood! The whole place looks like a very relaxing and serene place to live in. I love the simple, colorful, and not overly decorated houses, with just the right amount of details to accentuate the simplicity and beauty of the buildings. The outside benches, fountain, and ice cream stand adds another touch to the whole creation. I also liked your old-school free-hand designing, just like what I still do. Very impressive work Legolas73!

Very nice build Flare. I like how you built Prof. Weevil, for some reason he reminds me of the "Fish Guy" in Cad Bane's posse. Despite my fondness of Nautolans, I'd go with the miniscule dictator. As another famous man said: "It's over Nautolan, I have the high ground."

Simple yet easily recognizable as a tank, it's actually a good build for a young kid. Nicely done!
-
Ooh, how could I miss this one, thanks for the kind comments JD! Yeah, I try to customize my SW sets so that I'll have a unique SW collection and not just bought sets (which everyone has). Regarding my next project, I'll be taking a break from MODing official sets and instead create something not yet seen in lego form. CLUE: Coruscant Tan

Another nice one Peppermint_M, though this one seems to be the simplest among the series. But hey, it still works well for the Quatro Amigos!
-
Nice, simple, and gets the job done. I like the modular build of the castle, with detachable levels for maximum playability. Good job Admiral Ron and keep it up!

Wehehe, this is getting funnier by the day. Guys, please, continue entertaining us. We're waiting JD...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Interesting find Darth Sion/Mr.Mando, thanks for sharing. So, the first episode is essentially Rookies Part 2, as we get a second look at the 'Shinies' from that well-liked episode Season 1. It's great that we'll finally see the ARC Troopers in this series, though I wonder how they'll match up with Fordo's Muunilinst 10. You mean "Clone #99"? It was stated in the link that he's "an imperfect model relegated to menial, custodial duties at the Kamino production facility". He looks like an old clone since his character was developed to be "a bit slower…quieter…softer than your basic clone voice", as the article said. -
Only a few parts were painted, as well as the stickers, the rest are in standard lego colors. Thanks for the kind words Baylego.

Does anyone know where I could find Lego knock-offs

The Legonater got confused, it was Ricecracker who provided the links. -
Welcome to Eurobricks Seluryar! Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Zombie and vaudoo priest Cube-dude.
XimenaPaulina replied to Captain'Spaulding's topic in Special LEGO Themes
These two has got to be the best fan-made cube dudes I've seen so far! Who would ever have thought that cube dudes can have this so much detail? I'm lovin' the internal organ details of the zombie, very clever use of horns, MF arms, and flesh/pink/red colored pieces for the brains and guts. The VooDoo priest is also nice, especially the detailed staff he has. Very impressive works Capt. Spaulding! -
Come to think of it, the more I look at the T-6, the less I'm becoming interested to purchase it due to the various issues it has. For one , I'm never a fan of missized ships, and getting this one would mean I'd have to do a major overhaul just to get the right size and accuracy, which is just like starting a new MOC from scratch. Not to mention the un-SNOTed wings. If not only for the three new jedi MFs...

Another great creation lisqr! I'm loving the rocket-shooting effect and flame in the front. The all-black with shades of trans-orange color scheme looks pretty neat too. From a LSW POV, it looks like a cross between the Separatist Droid Gunship (body) and the Spider Droid (legs).

Allied Avenger (set 6887) from the Blacktron II series
XimenaPaulina replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Another great mini Legostein! After a quick look at the set at BL since I'm not familiar with 6887, I must say you really captured the overall shape of the Allied Avenger. I agree that the use of the trans-neon-green hook for the antenna is very clever. -
Ooh, great concert stage, I love the details (colored lights, spot light, metal scaffolding beams). I think this is the best one so far in your series.
-
Great find Solscud007! Props to the guy who did this, the overall shape looks very realistic, especially how he achieved getting the curved parts of the body.
-
Very nice MOC! Especially for a young kid, that's quite an impressive build. The interiors have good amount of details, and the exterior finish is pretty neat. I love the photo shots outside, makes the setting more realistic. Pls. tell your son he did a very good job!

Let's just say you have a great chance.

Does anyone know where I could find Lego knock-offs
XimenaPaulina replied to ThePurpleLegoBrick's topic in Community
Yeah online purchase (ebay) is the way to go if you really want to get these cheap lego clone brands, but the shipping cost might offset the relatively low prices of these, but they're still very much affordable. Here in our country, cheap lego knock-offs cost around US$0.50 for the smallest box, though the quality is really crappy. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
That's quite interesting, I would like to see Ahsoka's new weapon in Season 3. New weapon means new lego lightsaber mold? <wishful thinking> -
Thanks prateek! Yeah, the mods are quite unnoticeable especially on the dark red version, I just had to do it to improve TLG's version as always the case. Glad you like the custom figs, sadly I had to sacrifice the standard ARC pilots for the Razor Squadron aces.

Nice and simple Hoth display. Nothing spectacular but the Hoth snowy background does it for me, I'm thinking of putting these types of realistic backgrounds on my lego display shelves.
-
Yeah probably that would be what I'll do when I get the T-6. (MOD as always when getting official LSW sets).
