  1. Is that a sledgehammer strapped at the back? Part of your 'standard riding gear' Sieg?
  2. Nice one JD, great way to use Oky's previous entry similar to this one against him.
  3. Very nice LDD MOC Alopex! I simply love the futuristic design of the building, especially the double round tower tops, the good combination of the grey and trans-blue pieces, and the quite effective use of those curved sloped pieces for an overall smooth look. The hovercrafts are well-done too. Great job!
  4. Yeah the figs are decent at best (when viewed as a miniland figures), but I think this exclusive set is targeted mainly for hard-core SW collectors with lots of resources to dispose. 'Ordinary' fans like us would rather spend our limited budget on other sets that would satisfy us the most.
  5. That's a good suggestion. I changed the word Home to Collection, so it's now 'Show your Army & Collection Display'. Is it better now?
  6. When I was a kid, I didn't really care about the boxes, and as such, all my childhood boxes (and sets) are now unfortunately gone. But now that I'm an AFOL, I can't seem to part ways with the boxes since I view them as part of the 'whole experience' of purchasing the sets. Like brickdoctor, I keep everything - the box, instructions, polybags, sticker sheets, cape mini-box, etc. Storage space may become an issue for me in the future, but for now I'm content collecting and keeping them in their natural unflattened state.
  7. Congratulations to the winners and to the other entries as well! Those are truly fantastic and excellently built ships, the votes really are all well-deserved.
  8. Very interesting. It's always nice to see the movie characters making appearances on the CW series, IMO. Judging from the picture I'd say they did a decent job on Chewie's CGI version. I'm certainly looking forward seeing this episode. Yeah, that has been the trademark of the CW animation, they tend to make the body build of the characters slightly skinnier compared to what they are in real-life. Nothing really surprising anymore considering we've seen almost three seasons worth of this type of animation.
  9. Another nice batch of Marvel customs tin7! I particularly like Azazel, great job on the tail and the custom-painted elf's hair.
  10. Yup that's it, Seasee's CW face is instantly recognizable as either caffeine-addicted or sleep-deprived insomniac. Sorry the joke wasn't that funny clear, humor isn't really my strongest suit.
  11. Very well done BattleMecha Lazarev! I simply love the effective use of those curved sloped pieces to achieve the smooth finish of the legs, chest and shoulder plates. The white-and-black combo is also a nice clean-looking color scheme. Great work!
  12. Yep, headlight bricks did the trick on my verison. @Capt. Dan: Have a closer look at said tip assembly on this LXF file.
  13. Oh wow, two MOC Experts doing the exact same project at the same time, it would be interesting to see your take on this cavegod, I'm sure it'll be fantastic like your previous UCS builds. As far as suggestions would go, I'll just leave that to our OT experts here who'll have plenty of recommendations for you. We'll all keenly observe the progress of this one. Good luck on this project!
  14. Yup, there is already a topic dedicated to this. Merging this to the Future Star Wars Sets topic.
  15. Here's my first contribution to this thread. Meet the new Starbucks endorser... got coffee? by KielDaMan
  16. Excellent MOC ISC! This one reminds me of the CW episode Lethal Trackdown where Plo and Ahsoka went into a similar place like this. I see a lot of interesting details and very clever parts usage like the train track for the PLASMO'S base and those blue technic pins as alien plant life. Great job on the busy interiors filled with a good variety of interplanetary scums and thugs. Impressive work as always!
  17. Four. Just replace all four 1x3 slopes in your current set-up with four 1x4s. Like this one.
  18. Hmmm.. Do I still play with my Lego? Lemme see.. I think the closest I actually get to playing is swooshing my gunships and starfighters, imagining as if they were in the movie/series scene where they are based on, and sometimes even with the childish sound effects. I guess it's not bad to delve into the inner child in you every once in awhile. But I only do that at the confines of my bedroom, alone, and only in rare times when I'm bored and have nothing to do. But mostly, my time spent with my Lego is purely MOCing, MODing, and collecting. Recently however, I haven't had much time to do those either due to busy life inside and outside EB.
  19. Thanks for this neat review LT! This is certainly one of the few 2011 CITY sets that I really anticipate, and judging from the review the cars certainly don't disappoint. I really like how TLG finally figured out how to effectively combine those curved slopes and pieces to give us two sleek-looking cars. Combined with a tri-bike, two policeman and one bad guy, this is truly one set that I know every kid would really enjoy playing.
  20. Thanks for sharing these hi-res images grogall! I've seen those a couple of days ago from another site but forgot to deeplink them here. Anyway, I must say these sets are really looking good, speaking as a Cars fan of course. Too bad the characters aren't like minifigs where you could easily buy each separately off BL, as you will be 'forced' to buy the sets just to get all the character cars.
  21. I believe he was talking about the highly-detailed head printing of Wald, compared to the less prominent prints in the previous Rodian heads (Farr and Greedo). Look:
  22. Congratulations on the new born buddy! He's certainly a great addition to your lovely family. It's also nice to finally put a face behind CorneliusMurdock.
  23. Happy Birthday RasTheMan from KielDaMan! Have a great one!
  24. INDEED. I've never seen anyone pull-off very clean brassoed parts but you Omi, and you've certainly made this your signature technique. Nizam's torso and leg gold prints are simply perfect for Clu, and nice use of Arealight's Clone Commando helmet. Great work as always! BTW, care for a group shot of all the Tron customs that you did?
  25. Very well done Omi! As usual, great combination of standard lego and non-lego pieces, coupled with your signature brassoed torso. I'm not familiar with the character, but after quick google search, I must say your custom is pretty much spot-on based on this reference image.
