  1. This is beautiful... Reminds me of a scene from TV series Supernatural, where an angel Castiel talks with one of the main characters: When we discovered her plan for you, we laid siege to Hell. Anyway, awesome work, any chances you could share some detailed pics of angels, I'd love to replicate them
  2. Great review I quite like the set, even if it's a bit plain. Also, you've taught me a new bulidng technique: odd number sided towers, awesome
  3. Well, I've been doing this on a small scale for a few months now. I don't really want to go into investing full time, but my local stores often have sets that have gone EOL a year or two ago. So far, I've gotten 8214 Lamborghini Gallardo Polizia, Ferrari Victory, 4837 Hagrid's Hut, 4841 Hogwarts Express, etc. all at a minimum of 10% off retail price. Some of them I sell online for decent profit, some I open and some I keep in storage to open at a later date. It allows me to buy a set or two for future investment and for myself. I only buy the stuff I like, because I know that even if I don't sell it, I can still use it to build a great set and then integrate parts into mc MOCing collection.
  4. Nice Rancor an Banthas. But, really, why keep Ewoks inside a zoo fence Also, I like the way you made floor in different enclosures, with different shades and stuff.
  5. Man, this is some neat stuff I love the grey/trans blue color scheme. An that cryo-lab with Nora is just awesome!
  6. Nice. Yeah, I know, there's a lot of boxes like these in shops, with different dimensions. I had some troubles at first, because I bought some boxes that were not equal in size and I had problems shelving them, so they took waaay too much space. All solvled now, thankfully.
  7. Alcarin, I hope you mean 5000-6000 pieces, because you'd need a LOT of cash for that amount of sets in one go :D Anyway... As I know you're from Slovenia, I'll just post you some links. I bought most of my sorting equipment in Merkur: I have 8 boxes like these for sorting minifig accessories and technic pieces. They're awesome because you can set the compartment size: http://www.merkur.si/delavnica/lestve-in-oprema-delavnice/kovcki-kasete-torbe-in-vozicki-za-orodje/plasticna-skatla-38-2x23-4x4-8-cm.html I also have these for some parts that I keep directly on my building desk, and they are great for stacking: http://www.merkur.si/delavnica/lestve-in-oprema-delavnice/zaboji/zaboj-set-zabojckov-15-kos-st-1-rdec-in-st-2-moder.html And these: http://www.merkur.si/delavnica/lestve-in-oprema-delavnice/zaboji/predalnik-300x135x420-mm-35-predalckov-30-4-1.html Check for other sizes of this large drawer-system, because they have multiple sizes with different-sized drawers. It will probably be expensive at first, but as soon as your collection is sorted, you'll undoubtedly see a great improvement in your building speed due to knowing where each piece is, I currently keep my minifigs unassembled. Also, I sort smaller pieces by part, not by color, becuase I don't reall have that many yet (approx. 11,000), so the fit nicely in the drawers. Also, the large multi drawer system is great for sorting pieces by part and then by color, becuase you can keep same colors or parts side by side, whatever your preference.
  8. Bradn new Grand Emporium... My first modular, hooray :)
  9. I remember doing it, primarily because of a lack of bricks. My parents and relatives always bought me sets from random themes and I rarely had enough similar bricks to build something larger than a small sapceship. So, rainbow planes were born
  10. MISB Tower Bridge
  11. The vehicle presented is a classic tracked vehicle with mounted siege railgun. It also has sideguards for preventing debris from entering the wheel space, front ''bumper'' and in the rear, electromagnetic power generator. Here, you can clearly see the generator that powers the railgun. Frontal view.
  12. Just picked up Vampyre Hearse and Winter VIllage Bakery.
  13. It's beautiful Love the red theme.
  14. Well, it all started with the wish for a vehicle with three wheel configuration. It didn't turn out exactly as I wanted, mainly because technic treads are too short, but I think the end result isn't that bad.
  15. 10220 T1 Volkswagen Van for 100 EUR including shipping. It's sitting on shelf mocking me, because I have to wait another week to open it with my girlfriend :D
  16. I haven't had any proper Dark Age, but I've had several short period of time when I was pursuing other interests, mainly sports and computer sciences. I've had quite a lot of people laugh at me for being over 15 years old and still ''playing with toys''. My 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon usually shuts them up pretty fast.
  17. I don't have any children yet, but I have younger siblings at my house every so often. I keep some of my prized sets out of reach or at least away from any reaching hands (UCS Millennium Flacon, T1 Volkswagen Van, Mindstorms...). My collection of smaller sets is sorted and stored in toolboxes. I keep an extra box of LEGO discolored pieces, knock offs and such for them to play with.
  18. So, this is my first MOC posted on Eurobricks forum. ROEV is a all terrain engineer vehicle. It features a loading arm with claws, that can rotate 360 degrees, retractable winch, foldable tool rack and treads for rough terrain. It's remotely operated to allow for smaller size. The images are linked through imgur.com service, so I hope they are posted according to guidelines.
  19. Hello everyone, I'm a 19 year old male from a small European country Slovenia. I've been lurking around Eurobricks for about two years and I've finally registered to make some contributions to the community. For the past years, I've been focusing mostly on Technic, Mindstorms and Sci-Fi/Space themes. I'll be posting some of my MOCs soon :)
