  1. That is how I have done so, on a smaller scale.
  2. Never apologise for posting so many quality MOCs. Terrific work!
  3. A sci-fi one would sell really well, I think!
  4. very cute, I like the super smooth lines.
  5. This is a terrific model. Not entirely in TLG's wheelhouse, as perhaps demonstrated by their use of more clicky-hinges for recent monsters, but I have no doubt that this is a model they should branch out into, as it represents an iconic monster perfectly.
  6. I think this article makes some very good points. At the end of the day I think Lego need to be strong as to which sets will actually sell, and which were simply voted on my fanboys, whilst staying true to their business model. The Western Modular set is still shy of 10,000 votes, despite being tonnes better than either the EVE thing or the SotD set. Says a lot about people on CUUSSO.
  7. Just my opinion, but I think cheekbones make minifigs look old, not skinny, and I would lose them. Otherwise it's terrific.
  8. The white versus dark grey is terrific. Well done!
  9. I agree with The Blue Brick, especially on the stream, which is delightful!
  10. I specifically like the big cannon! Well done.
  11. I have an overflow box in which I store odd pieces which I may one day see in an MOC and think "What a great idea..!"
  12. The Wargs don't really come into the Hobbit until the end, right, so will probably only feature in sets from the second film? Just a thought!
  13. IMG_0218 by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The Hellhound is a more developed version of my previous gunships. IMG_0217 by skapunkplaything, on Flickr Given the name due to it's colour scheme, or vice versa, it is meant to look pretty dangerous. IMG_0220 by skapunkplaything, on Flickr Armed with one dorsal cannon, as well as multiple rocket launchers (the orange 1x2 studs facing front), the ship is more than armed enough to cause trouble. IMG_0219 by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The Hellhound was an experiment in SNOT really, and a ship I've been meaning to build for a while. A hefty, dangerous looking gunship ran by unscrupulous mercenaries and bounty hunters, infamous around the galaxy for all the wrong reasons. The Hellhound by skapunkplaything, on Flickr
  14. Great articulation! I would suggest using trans-black or trans-clear for the cheese-slope cockpit, but otherwise it's superb!
  15. Very solid-looking, certainly! Though more angles would be nice!
  16. I can almost ignore the terrific ships for the wonderful sea you've brick-built!
  17. The brick-work is terrific, truly!
  18. The engine decoration look like feathers, so I suggest something bird-like for a name! I like the size and scale, it looks suitably dangerous!
  19. I used the above as my primary inspiration.
  20. XS Stock Light Freighter by skapunkplaything, on Flickr I'm not usually one for fanfic or anything like licensed MOCs, but I liked this ship from the first bit of Star Wars: The Old Republic FMV I watched, so decided to have a crack. I think the scale is pretty bang on, and it's very swooshable. Added my own colour scheme as the rusty theme from the screenshots is a bit too done. Enjoy..! XS Stock Light Freighter by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The shape is quite Corellian but the cockpit isn't offset, which I guess makes it a precursor to the YT-2000. XS Stock Light Freighter by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The bottom of the ship is pretty dull. I thought about adding dorsal turrets but it was logistically quite tricky. XS Stock Light Freighter by skapunkplaything, on Flickr Otherwise, quite a fun build! I started with a smaller version, but the scale was pretty terrible and scale is usually a deal breaker for me. I mean, what good is a freighter if it can't carry any freight?! XS Stock Light Freighter by skapunkplaything, on Flickr
  21. That's really sweet, and some fine advice. I shall have a fiddle with my camera and photo-setup and see if I can't get some better pictures. My next project, which is almost finished, is a mini-version of the smuggler ship from Star Wars: The Old Republic. The name of which I forget. I'll make sure it's not let down by poor pictures!
  22. The building is great! I think it'd be complimented with a small (3-stud extra in each direction?) garden and surround. With maybe a pair of guards.
  23. I really like the exhaust detailing, as well as the kitty riding almost-shotgun. Well done!
  24. I really like how you've designed the legs. Good colour scheme, specifically.
  25. I like the use of the dark tan pieces!
