  1. A simple but well executed little build!
  2. I really like the tinkering you've done (particularly the headlamp), and love the use of your 1x1 round plates, too.
  3. Bear in mind, there are no Return of the King sets, apart from Shelob. Be patient for Gondor soldiers, but I think they'll come.
  4. I like the posing and articulation in the wyvern very much. A fine dio!
  5. The engine work at the back is terrific. Well done.
  6. He's in Shelob. I'm not sure his presence was integral enough in Moria to mean he gets a starring role in the minifig count.
  7. Really technically impressive, plus: kind of cute.
  8. Lord of the Rings has an even greater fanbase than Star Wars, I would argue. Some are certainly more passionate! And although the sets are explicitly from the movies, that doesn't mean there isn't potential for more than these sets the the Hobbit wave. As for the debatably petty concerns of some people, if you don't like the sets, don't buy. Anyone consigning LotR to the same bargain bin as Prince of Persia (one Disney Movie) and other licensed themes are pretty pessimistic.
  9. The posing and characterisation of your green would-be ambushers is perfect..!
  10. I really like the front section!
  11. Is that sword not just the S5 Gladiator sword?
  12. It's a great model and looks pretty well done to scale, too!
  13. The scene has a nice poise to it, a lot of life for quite a small vig. Well done.
  14. Your truck is a really old school design, I like it a lot.
  15. I personally think most Lego 'leaks' are actually released from TLG, anyway, so the lack of any 'leaks' - as well as keeping the Avengers movie under wraps - is not a huge surprise.
  16. The smoke coming from the chimney is a lovely touch.
  17. I agree, it's a good start and ready to be detailed and have flourishes added to it! See the mentioned guide for more help.
  18. The boat itself is gorgeous. The diorama is just icing and a cherry on top. Nicely done.
  19. It's a nice, well shaped and considered design.
  20. It looks really ninja-esque. Great job.
  21. I think this really brings to life the Kaliphlin lifestyle. Lots of character, well done!
  22. Will the Orc Forge set not be based on the montage of the Orcs and Urak-hi in Isengard before Helm's Deep, in which the swords are being made and they're all being imprinted with the white hand?
  23. I love all the little details. The odd-height fence especially..!
  24. People who are posting purely negative comments should get a bit of perspective. If they're not going to buy any of the sets, then that's their preference. If they are universally hated they will, presumably, die a horrible death and be on bargain shelves within a few months. And these fans will be no worse off.
  25. I consider myself more feminist than anything else. The idea that making pink things is bad for equality, or whatever, is tripe. The sheer amount of males who cannot wait for these sets for various reasons is very encouraging on that front! Making things which girls are encouraged to be interesting does not mean Lego are contributing to a global problem of some sort. They are trying to work within a competitive market. Staying rigidly gender-neutral is not going to change the world, and this way might get more girls into Lego and into the rest of the themes. I for one am going to buy a lot of this theme, for the figures, the animals and the amazing colour palette.
