  1. Here's a question... has anyone ever made a long train dealie where the track hits different time periods from steam train to futuristic? Be neat if you could park it, then switch tracks to release a train from that time period until you hit the next era. Ew... that's a bit abstract...
  2. Then again, trailer... http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/index.php...8c45291ab0ce138
  3. I think the Inika were cooler than people let on. Something good can be said about most of them. Black one has cool spikey head for use as shoulder armor and such, as well as a ball joint element on his back. Red and White have trans elements. Yellow one has neat gun metal colored armor (good in any mocs from gray to black) and a chain. Blue and green, well, not so much, but still. And the sales speak for themselves at my Walmart. The first shipment vanished off the shelves. Now they have like 100's of them in, also noticably decreasing in size week by week. They sell. I agree the feet blow... very hard to moc with. But the shoulder and leg armor are quite handy. And despite their disproportionally sized monkey arms, they are fun to play with.
  4. For real. Short smokestacks and gray gun? BLEH. Long smokestacks and black gun? Optimus. Hmm... wonder which is more show accurate... Optimus Prime Gun http://www.tfu.info/2004/Autobot/20thPrime/optimusprime.htm or repainted Ultra Magnus gun? http://www.tfu.info/2005/Cybertron/UltraMa...ultramagnus.htm
  5. I know, but occasionally a company has shenanigans going on behind the scenes too. Stuff like only bringing the bosses good news and such. It was worth asking anyway. :-P
  6. Mmmmmm, I dunno. I remember being a kid and HATING stuff like this. I used to turn off tv shows when characters started singing. :-D Needless to say, I despised most things Disney and (60's through 80's) Hanna Barbera as a result. But hey, the retardation is dead at least now. Non-Lego-like McDonald's toys. Some junk about a crappy teen rock group. ...if I didn't know any better, I'd say an exec from Megablocks has infiltrated Lego, dead set on making sure kids don't know jack about what Lego is.
  7. Granted, these sets are kind of kiddy (kind of?), but is there not some redeeming parts to fusion over into regular system? http://search2.lego.com/exec/?q=pirates&pt...g=2057&cc=US&u= You know, thank you for this topic... I'm REALLY diggin' the glowing parts on this puppy: http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=7881 The rest of the set appears to be scrap, but maybe Bricklink'll get the glowy stuff. X-D Item#: 7883 Ages: 3-6 Sorry, item is not available in this country. OoOOOOoooOOOoooh, BURN. I really do want that skeleton, dammit.
  8. Do you recall how "positive" you were in regards to their company in your answers?
  9. Which Optimus is the one that came with the BLACK gun? I recall alot of different versions came with this lame, never-used-in-the-show gray gun.
  10. My my my. Inner lighting. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2062192 How awesome is that? ::dies::
  11. Yeah, you're right about that. Larger, but all I could customize was popping off heads and arms. I sincerely hope they come out with some redesigned ones that are more "fun" like minifigs. You couldn't even remove their hair. :-| Still, buying a super-expensive technic vehicle seems "lacking" without a driver.
  12. Might not be too big a deal if it STRICTLY deals in space during those runs. ; ) I like the sliding parts on it. It's rare I say this, but I might have to steal that idea (for compartments, mecha canopies, etc). My only gripe with this is one of the tan antennas being bent. The rest is pure greebly gold.
  13. I got into Lego after 2000, so I pretty much missed them. It seemed like such a logical thing... System had minifigs... Technic had their figs. I didn't think they'd vanish. : / Maybe they were shelved for being too "action-figurey", possibly cutting into the profit of the Bionicle action figures? :-/ It should be said that I think the 2 could co-exist, profitably. And that I personally would find Technic vehicles more interesting / purchase if they ever actually had drivers.
  14. The last I saw of Technic figures was in some Cyber Slam sets from I think the late 90's. And I snagged 2 racer guys from a service pack at Shop@Home in summer 2002. Other than that... are they hiding anywhere else? Do any 2000 and up models even fit their bodies? ...They're discontinued... aren't they? :-(
  15. So parents will buy it. Will they buy their kid a toy robot, a toy vehicle... or the toy that's a robot AND a vehicle? ;-) Of course they won't realize until it's too late that the kid'll want all the robot's friends too.
  16. Just perusing the non-System section... http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...?showtopic=6462 http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...?showtopic=6444 http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...?showtopic=6264 (Would the last one count as a topic for this theorized forum? It's about the Lego-made Bionicle game on their website).
  17. Woah, this is pretty quality stuff. I imagine you could sell just the headpiece and neccesary stickers, if you got a good casting process down. I've seen custom Gokus before, but not ever as well done.
  18. Some of the coolest giant robots had boobs. To say nothing of the recent resculpts of them by Yasushi Nirasawa... (you can google image search his name, as his other works aren't appropriate for this site). X-D These ones don't fly off though... :-( Nope, it's official. NO idea what set the chick's torso came in though... maybe a train set or Spiderman or something?
  19. What... what the hell am I looking at?!? GET OFF MY INTERNET! Lol, just kidding. Your stuff is very serious and technical. You've got alot more patience in your mocs than I could even come close to. Another great builder for EB!
  20. I thought $65 was okay until Zane pointed out they're only 6 inches tall. My god.
  21. It's up. I'd like to have put more time into it, but I could lose the internet at any moment. Long distance is already shut off, so the rest will soon follow. :-D http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JINZONIN...badiusanihi.gif
  22. Radar mecha ORBADIUS. Gallery HERE (when public): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=209053 Story? Um... that white haired guy had only just given the 4 Exo pilots a morale-boosting speech, only to find himself jumping down into the basement to quickly uncover his Escapemech. Not even needing to fire one shot (luckily, as he was not even sure the cannon arm worked) he'd made his way through the underground service tunnels, out into the "air" of the poisoned plains, through the ruined city, and finally to the nearest mountaintop. From there, he nervously fiddled with the radio, hoping not only that it worked, but that SHE picked it up. An indescribable distance away, some green-haired chick is outside her mech, taking a break from mapping out what's left of the world. Suddenly, through headphones, she hears some old fart cackling for her on the radar mecha's loudspeakers. Apparently, she's one of the other guy's girlfriend.. or something... and... ... ...man, I hate writing stories. lol
  23. Thank you for making me launch Mt.Dew out my nose. :-D The way I see it, less sets = less, but more detailed sets. Tis' a good thing. Man... I really hope the ones shown so far mean that the rest of the sets will also have recolored masks. It's literally been years since we've had masks in multiple colors.
  24. Oh, in that case, no problem. I have no deficit on cats. There's a kitten we got last week that keeps messing my stuff up. (Moc not entry moc).
  25. Ok, mine's done. But I have no robot mechs for it to fight. ...should I just have it shooting at like 3 other old mechs I made?
