Totally. I see myself getting a few of the blue-lidded one just to get a playset of sorts goin'. Bonus points if there's stud, axle or friction pin connection points on the underside. :-) Enough BZ talk now. The discussion of pros and cons could go on too long. ::sends e-ninja out to find clearer pics:: You know... if Lego has such a problem with leaked Bionicle pictures, why don't they just release them straight to a site (like BZ) first? ...Before 900,000 kids go scouring the net for them? Even more, why are set pics for nearly every "adult" line ok to show all over the place, but the more kiddie ones aren't? It will be a cold day in Houston before I EVER believe any new Bionicle data is "leaked". It's always the same... an online place gets early, foggy CGI rendered pics... and the internet goes crazy. lol It's all publicity, man.

You are a ninja... you know that, right? :-D Yeah, that's fair. We don't pass Bionicle Rex's "granny test". Language more or less flows free here, with only the stronger words censored. I see where they're coming from. Of course Deviantart.com doesn't either, but you have to explore there a bit to hit it.

Halloween 06: Scary Images
JINZONINGEN73 replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Barnabus Collins. I want to say he was played by Jonathan Fried, but I think that was the name of some Star Trek actor. ...damn, it's on the tip of my tongue. Lol... did that show ever have a proper "ending", or was it just canceled cold-turkey? -
, He has, pointed out even by the higher ups of BZ once or twice. I think they're so big that they'd have that anyway. Serious question... is that exciting to the Bionicle fans? I actually don't know the answer. Do topics like that get many (unique user) views? (Weren't the books canceled or something)? I dunno'. Personally, pictures tell you ALOT more about where your money's going in the near future. But again, personally. I see 14,000 folder hits on the dude who put the new set images on Brickshelf. In the matter of a few hours. Bah, maybe I'm just too old to care about stories and "in-developement" videogame stories. Those seem all the same after awhile. It could be in reference to any franchise, whereas sets actually please you by being different. :-D

I saw that too... but he used a piece of Inika leg armor on it's back... I think these guys have a new, more bulbous shell there. Yeah. lol I'm assuming it's the name of the Polyps, as it's the only name we haven't definitively had applied anywhere else, and as Zane said, the side of the display for the 4 small sets say "Matorans". Also, "rhotuka"... "hydruka"... see the pattern? Yah, I'm pretty sure it's the sperm's name. You know what I wanna' know though? Where'd this guy on Brickshelf named "Dakar" get some of these images? I got mine from kaleidoshop's Bionicle page... I TOTALLY didn't see Pridak, the sperm or the 2 displays anywhere online. An unofficial "official" leak source? Then again, the folder does have a "fan" feel to it, with initial images coming from amazon.de and scholastic.

Your response is both right and wrong at the same time. : p

Hmm. Not much more publicity can be done to get some more contestants goin'. But it'll probably have a bunch of last-minute dudes, as is often the case.
-
Well, the gif in this topic may indicate otherwise. ;-) Though it's highly doubtful you'll snag anything. Stupid? No. Joke? Even less. A bit hard to comprehend without personally experiencing it? Abso-freakin-lutely.
-
I assumed the Hydruka were a name for the polyps. Hey... how you suppose those buggers fire, anyway? Look how weird those tails are. The heads are pretty rounded, so maybe they fire from Zamor-like launchers.
-
Notice his keywords say "hydruka"

Exactly. If you never crossed paths with anything, you'd be a fool to believe such outlandish tales. But I'm telling you from the heart, I and others are different, at times knee-deep in it. Don't be disrespectful and noone gets angry. : ) It's really simple. -
If you've got that good a feeling, hold a digicam in your hands, looking straight forward while snapping pictures in the direction you sense it. You never know. Maybe one of the shots will pop something out.
-
And some of his info is, from time to time, lies. They really just should just post'em. Like what, Lego's going to find some OTHER giant Bionicle fansite and give them exclusive extras? Who else is there? The ill-colored Mask of Poop-like Tan (Destiny)? X D They WHAT? Why? Well, I'll take early set pics over some angry rep telling us what to do and yelling down to the younger members anyday. ` Then again, you're probably not describing "BZ", just a goofy kid or two in mini-mod mode. :-|

Knock yourself out. We all get them from german sites anyways. : p So far, I like what I see. I just hope these all have more of those ball joints with the axle hole that goes all the way through. Those are VALUABLE mocing parts. Is it just me, or do the polypenwerfer look like tiny fisheads with fins?
-
Whoof, I forget. Made the gif from 2 pics someone online took awhile ago. Notice there's never stories of poltergheist activity where something unseen lodges a knife in someone's skull. It's usually stories where junk's being moved... this leads in to a previous point that A. There's other intelligences in place to prevent real harm, B. Alot of "ghost" activity is done with the intent to get the target scared and or in an emotional state where their attention is devoted to whatever's causing it.
-
Okay, so all we're missing now are the polypenwerfer and Pridak... right? Blew up the pics so as to see them better. Gallery, when public: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=212334 Also, these "polypenwerfer" seem to be blobs, with what almost looks like 2 tiny bat wings coming out the sides behind it.
-
Ah. lol NICE. Now I'm going to Paint to blow the pics up... get a better view of the sets themselves. X-D

Those are some SEXY containers! Finally, canisters that allow one to create a playset environment! Well, the one with the blue base to go along with the upper canister at least. :-D Where'd that Brickshelfer get those images from I wonder? It only says "off a german website"... though "carapar" nor his custom image title show on google. Amazon.de still only has placeholder text.

Halloween 06: Cool story on Yahoo News.

The physicist there is a bit arrogant in the way he depicts people who believe in such things. I can understand the silliness in vampires and wolfmen (though in this age of gene-splicing, you never know what some fruit will do lol), but when it comes to ESP and ghosts, people largely believe in it because it happens to them. So my cousin and I had, on more than one occasion, run around inside the SAME exact dream, same people in them, same buildings, same abstract events and whatnot. So I've seen things that were occuring simultaneously elsewhere, with undeniable proof later. So I've been with others when "ghost" type things took place, seeing the same junk. But because a physicist, going by currently understood science says it's not possible, he aquires the right to talk down on such people? Pffft. If one goes through their life and NEVER consciously encounters the supernatural, more power to them. If they want to say "I don't see how that could be possible"... also fine. Smart even. A welcome perspective, as it means they're not gullible morons. But when someone isolated from strange events gets disrespectful towards others about it, they become just another jerk. Openly disbelieve all you want. Ask questions, ask for proof... but do it without being on a high horse. ...which is where this guy in the article is speaking down from. -

Well, I think my stance on "ghosts" is already clear. lol You're talking about an as-yet unrecordable form of energy (then again, photos show things at times). The laws of physics we go by can't be trusted. Matter is not even solid. Under electron microscopes and whatnot, every particle of matter blinks in and out of existence... often existing in 2 separate places at once. And that's far freakier to me than the understanding of ghosts. -
I and others see them quite often. They've been seen before I knew the alphabet or understood the word "ghost". They're not connected with rage as far as I can tell, but I'm fairly certain they're an embodiment of "dead" things. I've seen skunk-like ones, cat ones, people, blobs... who knows for certain though. Though it needs to be said, some seem "different", not quite like others. The best way to describe them is "intelligent", as if, and bear with me, they were slightly cloaked, their purpose being to observe... and to retreat quickly when seen. Me and a coworker saw such a humanoid one. Along with it (and the portals we saw soon before and after), there was time discrepancies traveling in a line from one room to the next. ...And I took it upon myself to synchronize all these clocks once the first events showed themselves, as well as the added bonus of getting my work done and out to the drivers on time. Even more, there's a third version worth mentioning. Nasty, evil things. Stuff that just drips with anger and disgusting disrespect. Forms that instill absolute dread to the point you must really concentrate to gain enough composure to move again. Thankfully, it's rare, but I have no idea what the purpose is. So. Are they all the same thing, at different levels of interactive ability... or are they completely different entities? Tourists from the future? Dead things? Dark, demonic-looking creatures? Beats the hell outta' me. But they're there. And as I pointed out in the other thread, they've even been seen by more than 1 person during a single event, so I'd say that rules out them being a hallucination or overactive imagination.

Likewise, pity mice don't have talons to fight hawks. That seals don't have giant choppers to combat sharks. That flies don't have a venomous bite and a pair of scissors to escape from spiders. Look, there'll come a time when our bodies are removed from nature, inorganic bodies that don't require meat... but for now, we eat. Well, it's bad for the Americans there, sure. But is it bad for the Iraqi citizens? Sure, at first. But in time, with a bit more stabilization, they may mean life or death in future invasions. Death squads coming to your house in the middle of the night to remove "dad" because he spoke out against your leader? Not without the potential for extreme blood loss. That's a grim yet good thing.

Making Your Own LEGO Bricks
JINZONINGEN73 replied to Minifig Lecturer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There was a member on other Lego fansites clled "Flintsmith". He's quite skilled in these matters, doing both metal and plastic incarnations of parts not done in certain colors. I got a metal Bionicle mask from him... not the greatest quality, but it may have been from a failed casting attempt (not that the abnormally thin parts of that mask didn't make it more complex). Yet a trans-purple mask he made was 100% perfect, indistinguishable from the reral thing. I sat there studying and staring at it, finding not even the most minor flaw, anywhere. It was a work of art. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=102366 If you want a part in a color that it didn't originally come in, HE is the man to go to. You can probably find him on Mask of Destiny or BZ if you merely utter his name aloud. As far as doing it to save money... no way. Casting with crude, at-home materials will never be cheaper than just buying sets. There's overpriced resins, many a failed casting, loss of time, failed molds, air bubbles... stuff weeded out already by Lego. Recasting is STRICTLY a thing for customized parts, like new colors, non-produced part colors and stuff like realistic guns, etc etc...
