Please review the entire Friends line like this...and great job on the review!

Hah, it's kinda like Paradisa all over where the buildings/structures they do have are on par with the best of Town, which has a greater amount of sets anyways! Colors don't bug me...or the minifigs for that matter, the sets just look nicely designed and darnit...I'll probably buy one of them when my local Lego store gets its shipments in this week.

Latest updates on LEGO set sales
tiggerkiddo replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Slick Deals Wal-Mart deals Wal Mart has some sets half off again. Their usual clearance sale around this time...think this is US only. I've already taken advantage. -
Sooo I was browsing the review index and noticed there wasn't a review for one of my favorite sets from childhood...that I never got the pleasure of owning until I was much older (Drat!) so I decided, why not? Set: 6484 Theme: Race Release: 1995 Price: 49.50 USD (Really?!) Pieces: 269 Minifigures: 3 Resources: Brickset Bricklink Peeron A shot of the instruction manual. No box as I bought this off ebay and it came without. I would have just thrown it away anyways...no room. Decent length but let's not even imagine how many pages this bad boy would be now! It can get a wee bit complicated but nothing too difficult for a kid to accomplish. The colors on the page show up very well. Too many little pieces! This is hilarious in hindsight considering I just put together the massive Kingdoms Joust set a couple days ago but yea..you do get a nice little variety in colors. The 3 minifigures that come with it. Sorry I couldn't get an up close shot but my camera wasn't having it. You have two pit crew guys and a race car driver in all his flashy colored glory. Ahhh printed pieces...how I wish you showed up a lot more. These were like gold to me as a kid and I still adore them now. Oh and just in case you can't tell this is a Formula 1 racer... The pit stop with the many tools. Lot of tools for just a couple of guys, race car driver needs to hire some more men! If you got any of the 1995 town sets, you're gonna end up with a LOT of these gray tools. Oh and there's the blue lever thingy I forgot to get in the photo with all the pieces. What racing set is complete without it? Halfway through the build for the little racecar. Not much here but I do hope you notice the nice little engines on the back...oh wait, that was a different photo... Ahh there we go. Here is the completed racecar with the driver inside. It's a little different from the racecars that were introduced in the 1996 town year. Not too different but you can notice the difference when compared to the other ones... A nice comparison shot of this racecar compared to the style of the other ones. Yea this is the only one I have...hopefully I can remedy that later. Some first shots of the build. As you can see, it's a nice wide base compared to the other cars but this is a serious hauler, it should have some girth to it. Oh and this is where I started to drop some of those tiny pieces and grumble about how there are too many puny pieces. A bit further along. I kind of went ahead a few steps and attached the little switch part in early because my motor doesn't stay together. I should probably just order a new one on Bricklink soon. Anyways, this gray part is important as it will allow you to switch the crank from pulling a car up to letting it down. Just a shot inside the cab. Not much room for the other guy to sit in but a place where the driver could rest his mug or food or...well something! The lever. A pretty simple build but it can extend out quite a bit, if you need it. The complete set. The truck has a good bit of weight on it...probably helps there is a battery pack on it! Oh yea, the battery pack. Halfway through the build, I remembered that it needed a new battery...which meant taking apart half the set so I could add a new battery. Boooo! View of the front, somewhat... A shot from the side. If you're curious, it does look about the same on the other side too, except for the driver being on the other side of the cab but I digress! A shot (Or two) from the back. As you can see, the little piece where the two yellow lights are attached is the switch. You press down on the red piece up front between the lights (which flash! And make a strange humming sound.) and then you flick it to make the crank pull up or let down. If you leave the switch in the neutral position, the motor doesn't even work but the lights still flash. Or if you switch it around, they just come on and don't flash but who wants that? If you do want that, you're no fun! Poor poor Zane ZX. He thought he was being slick taking his new Technic racer in the mud and got stuck somehow! Luckily the Formula 1 crew was there to save his sorry hide. Let this warning to all of you Ninjago...ninjas! If it can happen to Zane ZX, it can happen to you! So yea, this is a nice little hauler. It's much bigger than a lot of the other Lego trucks around this time (Technic doesn't count!) and it gets points for also having some flashing lights and a pulley that can be switched on the go. The colors are pretty nice as well... Playability: 10/10 Maybe I'm being generous but with the little switch and lights, you could have a little fun with this. Plus it's a bit strong and can haul quite a bit, might as well experiment! Design: 9/10 It's big, strong and in charge. The color scheme isn't dull either. Price: 6/10 Maybe I'm just being a bit of a cheapskate but this doesn't seem like a 50 dollar set. I know having some lights and a motor brings up the price but still! I probably am just being a cheapskate... Overall: 9.5/10 Price aside, this is a really cool looking set. The fact it comes with lights and a little pulley you can manipulate make it even more fun! Get it while you can...good luck with that one though, it seems like it's a bit tough to find.

New Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive
tiggerkiddo replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'll try to get some pics of the set up today (Any in particular?). I would have done a review but my camera was being a pain so no go. Man is putting some of these big sets together is quite a labor. The old castle sets wouldn't have taken near as long, lol. -

tiggerkiddo replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The set has arrived a little early out here in Denver! Thought I was gonna have to wait until next week but I guess the new Lego store got some in stock today. Needless to say, I'll be spending most of my afternoon putting it together. -

I hope it comes out on the 26th or the 27th in America. I will probably check my local store out on those days...though both Lego stores in Denver said it comes out in January, I just hope it's sooner! Then again, if it is a January release (Say like the 1st) for the stores, that might give me some extra time to acquire some more funds for what will be a very costly but fun purchase day. -
Nope, that's gone.
-
Yes, I still have it.
-
And there's always the thing at Lego stores where you scratch the little card for a discount. I forgot what the biggest discount was though...I hope I can combine the discount with the $15+ discount I'll have with my VIP account...

Sweet, I finally have my New Age Retro Hippie! -
Ehhhh *checks paypal account* can you just PM me to total amount and your paypal address, please?
-
Drat! I just had to dump some money into a costly car battery. If this is still available in a week or so, I may have to take the plunge. I'm such a sucker for old space sets.
-
And this is still for 40 euros? Hmmm
-
How much is shipping to the US?
-
My vote is for Ice Planet. They've already used the trans orange stuff recently with Mars Mission so why not use it some more? I suppose that's a very weak reason but I'll have a better one soon enough!

Exo-Force, Space and Technic
tiggerkiddo replied to tiggerkiddo's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Sorry about that. -
Just a few items I have for sale. Shipping depends. Let me know and I can give you an accurate price. International shippers, I apologize ahead of time for any stupid high number that comes up. This is all coming from the US, Colorado to be exact. Exo Force New in box copy of Exo Force Cyclone Defender. Top has some damage to it but the box is still unopened, at least to my eyes. I guess 15? Used copy of Lunar Limo. No pics as I don't have it complete right now but it is 100 percent complete (All stickers applied, sorry) with the instructions. Cheapest copy on Bricklink is about 20, I'm fine with 16. Technic lot Box of used Technic Lego. I forgot which set numbers they were but I have the instructions so when I find them, I'll put them up. All the sets are complete though I think the buggy might be missing a rubberband or two. 16 for all 3 together. I can sell them separate if people are inclinded. Also have some collectible minifigs up for sale/trade. They're up in the other thread but I'll list the ones I know I have for now...2.50 each or 2 if you buy a bunch. Series 3 Race Car Driver Also have a container with a bunch of loose lego. Nothing special, just bricks and plates for the most part. I have to weigh them all but I imagine it only being 2-3 pounds. 5 bucks per pound. I'm keeping the container though. Lego UFO Alien Avenger: No instructions on this one and it's missing some pieces. I'd wager it's around 87 percent complete. Has all the minifigs though Lego Robo Force Robo-Raptor: Missing a few pieces, maybe around 5. No minifig or instructions Lego Robo Force Robo-Stalker: No instructions and missing some pieces, not a lot though. Still about 95 percent complete. Lego Res-Q Aerial Recovery: No instructions and is missing a figure and the net. Everything else is there.

Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List

+2 for Dropsy, great buyer! -
I really love the B-movie feel they decided to go with here. Kind of reminds me of that cheesy 90's movie Mars Attacks. Really love the abduction light thing, I kind of miss that kind of thing with UFO's.
-
Thanks, that was a bit helpful. Adding it all up and making adjustments to the condition or completeness of some of the sets, the total seems to come around 650, give or take. I'll figure out how to go from there.
-
Haha, yea that would help. Names/themes have been added

So I've tried several places trying to sell these sets but haven't had much luck so I figured perhaps many of the sets weren't all that desirable and maybe it'd be better to just package them in a lot. I don't really want to sell all of them but having a little rainy day fund wouldn't hurt since finding another part time job is tough and all...ugh. So here it goes...nearly all of them have instructions and are complete but the ones that aren't still have around 95 percent of the parts. 7648 Mars Mission Mobile Mining Unit 7305 Scarab Attack 7569 Desert Attack 7634 Tractor 3179 Repair Truck 6444 Outback Airstrip 6679 Dark Shark 7638 Tow Truck 6850 Auxiliary Patroller 5981 Raid VPR 3178 Seaplane 10216 Winter Village Bakery 7573 Battle of Alamut 3180 Tank Trunk 7635 4WD with Horse Trailer 5984 Space Police 3 Lunar Limo 7571 The Fight for the Dagger 1687 Midnight Transport 6986 Space Police 1 Mission Commander 6264 Forbidden Cove (Islanders) 6348 Surveillance Squad 1786 Jailbreak Joe 6987 Blacktron 1 Message Intercept Base 6761 Bandit's Secret Hideout 8216 Technic Turbo 1 8226 Technic Mud Masher 8246 Technic Hydro Racer 1 Red Lego Storage container. That's about the jist of it. Or if there would be some sets that should be paired together as a lot, let me know.
