US barcodes! -
Nice review and great job on the pictures! I'm not sure about the set...the design is a bit unorthodox and sort of reminds me of the podracers from The Phantom Menace, haha. I might get it if it's on sale or something, hmmm.

I don't own any SW figures but I kinda want to enter... Might have to, heh.

If you have a Lego store nearby (Or somewhat nearby), they seem to have them...though sadly they sell out in no time. I went to my local Lego store in hopes of finding the last two and they told me they have them and still are receiving shipments...just they sell out in no time at all. Pity. -
Darn you lucky Europeans. I actually like the pure simple look.

Probably my favorite castle set. I own it and pictures do not do it justice. Thanks for the great review...I always love to assemble this with my older Forestmen sets nearby for a little forest, lol

I'm way out here in CO and they're available here. Kind of wish the Lego store had them because I want the VIP points... Also too was a bit shocked at the packaging. I too wanted to try to feel test but they're too sturdy for my patience. -
I love some of these impulse sets and will get this. Good job on the review, love how nice and clear your photos are! Really easy on the eyes and I hope you do more reviews!

Even with the help of the barcode list (Funny enough, no one even cared as I went through the box with my list), it's still pretty fun when you come across a figure you like. I do think their quality is just a tad below the ones in an official set but not by much. I did miss two minifigs that I wanted but I'll just go back another day and grab them. Since I'm not much of MOC'er, one minifig each is good enough for me! ...now let's just bring out that second set. -

Hey thanks for the US barcodes! Now to see if my local TRU has it, seeing as the official Lego stores doesn't have them yet. -
LEGO 8684 Minifigures Series 2 (Official Pictures)

Oh how cool! The Centurion shield reminds me of the old school round shields with the swirly pattern, or something a bit like it. Just like the first set, there are only about 3-4 I don't like. I hope for one more line, haha. -

All I know is that the week they are out, I'm going to buy a bunch of different ones (By checking the second barcode) and then scan the ones I can identify for North American buyers, at least. I do know I don't want a box, just one of each figure I like, haha Maybe if I'm lucky, I can get quite a few. -
Posting to say I love the article, good job! Hope you keep up the good work! As for me, I generally am in the wait it out crowd. Unless it's a smaller/cheaper set like under 20, then I'm a bit more eager to get it as soon as it releases. I have an ever growing list of sets I would love to purchase but with a limited budget for it, I have to pace myself. I usually don't get annoyed by missing out on an exclusive because I'll generally luck out eventually and get it, just like I've lucked on deals on Lego sets on ebay or finding them at the flea market or thrift stores, haha.

In honor of the last string of space shuttle missions in the US Space Shuttle Program, a small but simple memorial was built for those brave men and women who lost their lives in a couple Shuttle disasters (The Challenger in 1986 and the Columbia in 2003). This vignette is built for the Spacemen figure either as a statue on the second level of the memorial or just standing off to the side paying homage.

Love the review, you did a great job on the photos! I like the set but I would really love it if the cab were a separate set, lol

Yea like others have said, vehicles look awesome but the buildings, not so much. I hope this set isn't 100... EDIT: Just noticed the price, lol. Dumb me. Ugh, 100. Well guess I'll be wracking up some VIP points with this!

Just hearing fans of the Ice Planet's Deep Freeze Defender makes me smile, Ice Planet is my favorite theme, ever. While I do think that is a great ship, I find that the Blacktron Invader is my most favorite ship. Has a nice sleek design and you can't go wrong with the Blacktron 1 colors!

How long do you wait until you open your lego?
tiggerkiddo replied to Ratshot's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If I don't work that day, then generally as soon as I get home. I too get some water so I can be relaxed and ready. If I have to go to work...depends on the set. If it's small, I complete it or try to. If it's big, I'll just wait until after work. Which generally makes work even worse because I'm thinking about that set I need to open. -
Pictures are a little grainy but they are still good enough for the review! Thanks for it, I think you did a good job on it! *insert comment about how Lego needs to make larger street baseplates*

June supposedly, maybe late May. I'll have to check my local Lego store later this month to see. -
REVIEW: 8683 LEGO Minifigures Series 1
tiggerkiddo replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nice review, thanks! As of right now, I like 10 out of this first set so it's going to be tough trying to get them all, haha. It still stinks that this won't be out in the US until June but oh well, just one more month! -
Fantastic review, seeing this review kind of makes me want to buy it since it seems so well built and I also adore that little quad bike. Me thinks Lego needs to makes bigger streets for these mammoth vehicles they have now.
-
wow thanks for the review and I have to agree. This is a great set, the price isn't too bad as well. I actually love the purple look, haha.

I really do like this set. I love the design of the toy shop and think the handmade Christmas tree is a really nice touch, especially with the little toys under the tree. I also love the addition of the lit brick. I was quite surprised when I saw this in the Lego Store and it was only 60 bucks (USD mind you) so I guess I will be getting this set, yay! Thanks for the wonderful review.
