  1. Just as a reminder, there's no need to quote pictures, and please don't do it. It just uses up space on each page, and might potentially make some of the new comics lost in the meantime, making it hard for people to easily find all of the new content. People will know if you're referring to them in your comments without you quoting the pictures. Thanks.
  2. Just a joke about why the Rebel has to wear a sports helmet; nothing in particular.
  3. Sports Helmet
  4. Battle packs do not come out in the summer. The Battle Packs are always January releases only. If the pattern continues, this coming year's will be OT-themed, but that's for a 2012 discussion. Besides for a few exclusives, what we've seen at Toy Fair is what we're getting.
  5. Well, most of that stuff is in FBTB's coverage, so it's not exactly a new revelation. But it's nice to see the things featured on the Star Wars website itself. Since the figures in the watch sets seem prebuilt, there is some discussion of Flickr whether they will be glued and/or the cheaper plastic. On the older watches they were not so, but then they weren't built in the package on those either.
  6. I just wanted an excuse to use an EpII Clone, so here's what I got… Handsfree
  7. The only other part that is glued is the torso to the legs. All of the other parts, according to the person on Flickr, can be removed. Also, please try not to use computer/messaging shortcuts when you are typing; use the full words instead.
  8. Thanks for the look at this set Superkalle. But are you sure you built it correctly? The bag art seems to show that the modified 1x2 brick with bars goes fully under the body of the ship, with no trans-blue 1x1s actually showing from the front or angled view. It looks like you've put that brick too far back, out from under the body of the ship.
  9. I love this Peanuts! Excellent use of the rapper figure's parts. And now, EU references… (DarthSion, are you reading this thread?) The Lost Apprentice
  10. I agree that the magnet sets are related to recent sets, but that doesn't mean LEGO is 'getting rid of stock,' since the stock for the magnet sets is created just for the magnet sets.
  11. The minifigures that come in the magnet sets are in no way related to the stock of figures made for regular sets. The magnet set figures come from a completely different factory, which is why you will see complaints about a difference in quality (and sometimes coloring/details) from time to time. I don't think the above would be any different now that the minifigures are glued.
  12. So that's why LEGO is making a Wolfpack trooper with a jetpack; they're in the Chewbacca episode. Cool. Hopefully Wolfe will be an interesting Clone Commander.
  13. A nice illustration of it Legonater. But are you using a 1x1 cylinder for the Horn company trooper? It's a good way to get the helmet positioned, but it looks a little disconcerting that his head is s skinny. More cross-theme madness… Costumes
  14. You like corssovers, eh? Ok… Scarface
  15. Though you could be right, at first glance I thought it was just because the page is a prelim mock up, and Kit Fisto won't actually end up there. Maybe he will though, it's hard to be certain.
  16. Yeah, those monkeys are sticky little devils. I brushed them a bit, but their main body feels like s lightly different plastic than normal, which means getting the dust off is difficult. I agree that my head choice wasn't really the best, but I couldn't figure out how to do the scarf. I thought that as long as I got the pants and shirt right it would look ok, but a more cheerful expression was necessary.
  17. Another Saessee Tiin joke, but I think even you should get this one Jedd. Monkey Attack
  18. Or why don't you just go watch the episode online instead of just asking and then complaining about it? Seriously, fine, I get it that you don't like 'retcons,' but howabout you actually watch what you're talking about and then complain about it? That's what I do. It will only take you about three to five minutes to watch the entire carbonite segment of the episode. Here's my main gripe: Tarkin. I didn't mind that they included him, they just seemed to exaggerate him way too much. Kind of like how they took the opening scene of RotS and worked from that for their entire idea of Obi-Wan, Anakin, battle droids, etc. Just because Tarkin is a severe sort of guy in ANH doesn't mean that he would act out of line back when he was a captain. The Jedi rank far above him; it just doesn't work that he would argue with them endlessly. I felt like they just exaggerated his characteristics shown in ANH without actually thinking through how he would actually behave in that position.
  19. That movie hasn't come out yet. The Battle for Hogwarts is basically a compilation of the entire battle that takes up a few chapters in the final book. The battle is of course split into two parts: the first stage, and then the second stage after Harry "dies" and the good guys still standing are not willing to surrender. Of course, with Goyle and Harry there you could make the case that it has to come from the initial part of the battle, but really I'd say it's just supposed to represent the entire thing.
  20. Well, at first I thought the same way as you, but this promotional picture seems to speak otherwise: There's definitely more brown there than I noticed in the film. Still, the way LEGO has done it is a bit odd. It's good enough to make you go "Oh, it's Narcissa," but just like Bellatrix's face and hair it's far from actually being film accurate. As to the hair style, it's quite possible that by the point in the battle where the scene takes place her hair will not be pulled back and groomed-looking, so that hair piece might be ok.
  21. So what? Nobody can do everything; I see it as no problem at all for people who build massive dioramas like this to not spend time building intricate models as well. The way I see it, you can compare it to a small MOC. In a small MOC, you use LEGO's minifigures but build the scene around them yourself. At this scale, the minifigures have just transformed into ships! This sort of diorama just blows my mind. It really makes LEGO's models look tiny.
  22. Here's one that requires a little more knowledge than just Star Wars… Anakin's SGF But, in case you don't get it, here's a reference: (I hope this isn't one of those stupid America only videos, but I don't think it should be. Please tell me if it is.)
  23. Four Obi-Wans, but one seems to have the light-skin disease. Fourbi-Wan
  24. This is a bit different from most of the other things in this thread, but I thought it fit here anyway. A portrait of the master: Qui-Gon Portrait
  25. Although Brickus referred to the scene, the joke is that the Tie pilots are running away because they don't want to go die in the trench, I believe.
