    Valesia startles backwards a little as the elevator grinds to a halt, "Oh my, not off to a great start it would appear." "Afraid not, Hun. I'd be glad to lend a hand though." Before heading to the door, Valesia inspects the ceiling wondering if there's an access hatch.

    As Zaria bides her time she tries to pick up on the conversations around her. Perception Check (DC 1 & 3): 6, 2, 1 (1 Success, 2 Failures) The elf can overhere part of the dialog between an O'Kor'uk and an undead seated on a bench nearby. "... and how long did you say you've been working on the Boreal Express?" "Nearly thirty nine years, figured I'd make it an even forty before retiring." "I've got to imagine you'll miss the luxury of the trip, no?" "I mean, we waiters get to drink as much as we want as long as the passengers are kept happy, but once you've ridden the Express a few hundred times, it looses its charm." Zaria also picks up on the elf ahead of her muttering to herself. "...I just can't believe it. If the society thinks I'm going to take this slight sitting down, they've got another thing coming..."

    "I'm good, Hun." Valesia smiles politely at Enson reflecting silently on several Cladrasith she knew of the walnut variety that would chuckle at her current situation.

    "Let's get to it then." Agent Molly ensures everyone is securely strapped into their diving rig before inquiring of each hero. "Got a 'push' in mind?"

    This is absolutely stunning! I've been inspired by the scale of your builds ever since you started posting your D&D cityscapes. To see that scale brought to something like the Millennium Falcon is pure exhilaration and I can only imagine what a Death Star would look like at a comparable size. When you start approaching something of this size, how do you decide which details to make movie accurate and which to allow for more personal interpretation?

    Valesia begins to hum in harmony to the tune. "Catchy isn't it?" The Cladrasith glances at the bulletin board for anything of interest.

    "Very well then, I trust you to figure out your own authority structure. An Oc|Tan shuttle is waiting outside to see you on your way." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The heroes depart from the depot and find their shuttle prepared for them. The journey to Oquim is uneventful and their courier not particularly chatty, all in all it's a dull trip which serves in stark contrast to the gleaming metropolis of Parous. The industrial city gshines with accents of gold and copper, sections of the metropolis suspended in the air by the aid of Quavoron crystals. The heroes have little time for sight-seeing however as they are quickly dropped off at the Parous hover-train station. Bustling with people of every background and species, the group soon locates the platform for the Boreal Express.

    "We'll say your acceptance of the mission was consent. Now, Agent Molly." "Alright, Ætherdiving 101. We're going to be hooking you up to one of these dive units. They serve as a sort of conduit into the Ætherspace for your spirit. They'll ensure you stay anchored in the real world and we'll be monitoring your vitals in case anything goes wrong and we need to pull you out. You'll be able to pull yourself out if needed by the use of a "push", a trigger word or phrase that we'll code into your dive session. Just make sure you're not distracted or engaged when you push, otherwise your spirit will be tugged in two different directions and it'll feel like your brain is getting sucked out of your skull. You may notice upon arrival in Ætherspace everything smells like burnt popcorn for the first few minutes, that's totally normal. If that lasts for more than an hour we may need to send you to the clinic afterwards for further examination. Ætherdiving should not be done for more than 48hrs at a time, otherwise the push becomes much more difficult to enact. We'll scan your equipment in as well so you should have that available to you, however the interaction between the Ætherial sphere and our own is loose and you may find sometimes things such as consumables are not as predictable as out here. While you may not take physical damage, your psyche certainly can be shattered so try and avoid getting yourself killed while in Ætherspace. Any other questions?"

    Insight Check (DC 1): 2, 1, 2, 1 (0 Success, 4 Failures) Felix assess Agent Molly's posture and while he figures that she and Agent Lars possess a bond, the nature of it remains unclear to him.

    "Yes, you'll be in one of these units." The Quaarm indicates the open chairs near the sleeping Thudaal. "As for your unit, in Ætherspace you shouldn't be inhibited by your normal physical form, but if you so wish we can hard wire your assistant in as well." "Just be careful with him. Please." "Excellent! I knew I picked the right crew for the task. Mr. Mao, I'll let you lead the team then considering your experience. Mr. Nastayo, are you an experienced diver or should I have Agent Molly give you the standard run down as well?"

    "Oh, is the hotel's disposal system connected to the station?" Valesia, places the leftovers in a take-out box and stores that in her satchel, "I hope this doesn't stain anything."

    No problem at all. The first iteration of Heroica was my first roleplaying experience 10 years ago, so we've all been there at one point or another. Everyone here will be super willing to help give any pointers whether its for mechanics or roleplaying. The gritty war veteran is a tried and true archetype, Bers will fit in just fine. Quite understandable, EB is a melting pot of folks from all over the world, so you'll be in good and understanding company. Strong and silent types always make for interesting characters for the other more chatty types to play off, so you're good.

I'll personally vouch that these heroes will do their utmost to retrieve Agent Lars. Now, do you have the dive units ready?" "They've been ready for four days." "Ok then. Heroes, do any of you have any Ætherdiving experience? Mr. Mao, it sounds like you do, no?"

    "Maybe Oddsphere did, but all I know is Lars has been in there for too long. If someone's going in there I want to make sure they're bringing him back alive and not just a brain dead husk."

    "As I was telling my fine companions outside Miss Rachel, it sounds like all these rodents need is some incentive to have them go else where and nothing does that like fine cooking. You wouldn't have anything like bait we could use to lure them out by any chance would you? Also how long would you say the chute has been clogged?"

Agent Molly purses her lips, "Sometimes a newer recruit has a hard time with the extraction sequence and might bounce back and forth between consciousnesses a few times before settling, leaves them with a pretty nasty headache. But we've never had anything like Lars case here at the lab." The O'Kor'uk nods her head at the Thudaal's direction.

    "Lars was assigned a patrol of a data warehouse for Lupin Bio-tech. Standard parameter surveillance contract." "Your companion is right, Ætherspace is filled with plenty of dangers. The Thaumuturgic Society lost a good number of its members in the early days of exploration. Cladrasith are known for their ability to Ætherdive sans specialized equipment as they mature. It's rumored the forests in Ætherspace were all once Cladrasith and now permanently sleep in that realm never to awaken." Agent Oddsphere, leads the group down several hallways to a lower level lab, marked "Dive Division". "Ah Agent Molly, how convenient. These are the heroes we discussed bringing in." "Oddsphere, you promised me one or two days, it's been nearly a week Lars has been in there, who knows what's happening to him!" "I know, I know, but I had to make sure we brought in the best. Trust me Agent Molly, these heroes will find Lars and get him out of there." The O'Kor'uk turns to the trio. "Really and what makes you confident, heroes?"
