  1. Well done Rumble Strike. That was a sincerely lovely quest and I enjoyed watching it unfold. You have definitely improved in many different aspects and I look forward to watching you do more in the future. The battles were equally spaced and relatively challenging (sometimes you can't do anything about lucky rolls so don't worry too much about it). The loot was well proportioned and the appropriate. The scenes were great and your story was well thought out and accomplished with minimal rail roading. You gave the Party plenty of time to role-play and I think we saw some good development in the PC's. Personally I would have liked to see 1 more puzzle of sorts but that's just my preference. All in all, you did an excellent job.
  2. Something like that. I'm somewhat getting a colonial/16 century feel for the Bonapartes, more Renaissance era for the Guild of Invision, and a more Eastern influence for the Ji Pei.
  3. "I believe Cronk is speaking sense, if the carriages are gone then I can only assume that Russel is off to deceive the emperor. Cronk and his party shall deliver the weapons, though without the carriages I don't see how ya'll get far. We should see if we can procure some horses from within the fort. My Party shall remain here and hold the fort unless any of ya wish to join us. If Russel is off to the cultist leaders, then I should have no issue trackin' Carriage wheel ruts after the next skirmish, besides if we can route these rebels they may flee back to their camp and hopefully their leaders."
  4. Update to quest 28 made. On the subject of reading RP, I have to agree with JimB I think it's the easiest solution. Sure we all play for a variety of reasons and we have to be respectful of everyones style of play. Currently Skrall isn't in the conversation so there is no reason for him to be listening to it thus I skim through those portions. If you're so eager for a fight Jeb, you should be rooting for the players in Quest 32.
  5. Boomingham arranged the remaining documents in their respective folders and breathed a slight sigh of relief as the files remained still within their folders. QM Note: I need to fix-up a plot point so I'll make sure we're updated before the end of the night, so pardon the delay. "Ah yes, here's the note. Hmmm... 8 months back a chap by the name of Rodrigo Devega stopped in and acquired about a loan for some scientific marvel having to do with transmogrification, I'm afraid that's all the note says. I couldn't even tell ya what the fellow looked like anymore. Thanks for helping me clear the clutter, I'll have to remember to keep the files of the 6 houses in a more managable order next time. Is there anything else I can do for you all?"
  6. After collecting his results from his tracking, Skrall informs the Parties, "well, this Russel fella took the side door and was movin' at a right clippin' pace. I don't think we're going to be able to track him. Mr. Lizard, I think ya in yer Party will be good to go with the weapons and me and my group will keep trackin' the traitor. If my guess is right, he'll lead us straight to the rebels and the rest of the cultists. First though we need to see if we can even get out of this death trap." Skrall moves toward the parapet of the fort to determine how the battle is faring and if the Parties need to fight their way out of the fort. Taking the telescope out of his satchel he looks in the direction of Russel's tracks and attempts to spot the soldier in the distance before he throws the telescope back to Arthur.
  7. Papers go fluttering out of their folders once more.
  8. Once again in a flurry of pages, the documents fly out of their folders.
  9. Nur attempts once more to organize the files, this time the earth blue and black documents remain in their folder while the others again fly out upon the floor and the desk.
  10. With Jess and Boomingham having money on the board, the U'Kin rolls the dice. Roll 1: Darkness Roll 2: Light Roll 3: Light "Sorry sir, but the luck is with the lady tonight but for you I am still sorry." Boomingham loses 16 Gold while Jess neither wins nor loses any gold. Jess Islanti, Level 18 Assassin (Sisco) Power: 29 (+2) Health: 19/29(+1) Gold: 225 Inventory: Blohdhurm (WP: 9)(Fire elemental, Permanently Poisoned), Mercutio's Dagger of Mugging (WP:5, Mug Ability +5), 2 Venoms, Mead, Smelling Salts, 1 Remedy, 1 Grand Potion, Sword of the Vampir (WP: 17)(User is Jinxed) Lord Lawrence Boomingham, Level 17 Paladin (Zepher) Power: 28 (+3) Health: 28/33 (-6+2) Ether: 16/17 Gold: 0 (Owes 50 to Jess) Inventory: King of the Desert (Longsword) (WP: 9, Fire Darkness), Frozen Saber (WP: 9, stunned effect, Light) Shaduex Shield (SP: 5), Thorny Diadem (+3 to power, but -6 to maximum health) 3 Potions, Bedroll, 5 Bones, 2 Holy bombs, 2 Meads, 1 Phoenix essence, Pick-axe, 1 Jo-no Tree seed, 1 Venom, 1 Grand Tonic The rest of the heroes continue to attempt to organize the elf's files but both Haldor and Nur's attempts lead to the files being spewed back out upon the desk, though Nur does notice that the earth blue and black documets seem to stick together.
  11. "I may be of some assistance," Luke walks over and attempts to identify the potion.
  12. Luke gingerly accepts the staff from Arthur and nods in greeting to the other Party, "I remember this staff well and while I doubt I'll use a weapon that has caused so much destruction, I shall attempt to withold its evil influences from the other members of the party." Skrall attempts to track down Russel before deciding to lead the party to meet with the commander.
  13. You just don't like my idea of mixing up the Parties mid-quest.
  14. "Sounds good to me," Skrall unsheathes his greatsword resting the tip against the stone floor as the Parties search for Russel. "So ya said ya dealt with some cultists?"
  15. Aye. Anyways, rangers don't carry smoke bombs for nothing.
  16. "Sounds like the cultists were takin' care of good. Cronk from what I know of ya, ya've always been honest to a fault so I ain't got an reason to not trust ya. It sounds like this Russel character might have some questions to answer. I think we could all settle this if we talked with the commander of the fort, so here's my proposal and ya'll have to take it up with yer Party Leader, I'll take myself, the guy with the horned hat, Ms. Toboso the lady rogue behind me, the tall rogue with the green cape, Count Knyghton and the elven lady back there with me and go see the commander. You, the reptile gentleman, De'kra, Arthur, Luke, and Alexandre will head after this Russel fellow. We'll reconvene in the courtyard."
  17. The files fly out of their folders, some landing upon the desk others the chair next to it.
  18. Luke stopped short upon seeing Xander, "Xander, my friend what are you doing here? I thought you were back in Eubric?" Skrall took a double take at the crowded room, "Cronk, well yer the first person I think I could talk some sense with. What are ya doin' here, how did ya get into the fort? We were sent here to protect the fort from weapon theivin' rebel lion knights. Ask yer snake friend to diffuse that spell he seems to be brewin' up before I have to put a bolt through his hand." Skrall called to the rest of the group, "Stay yer weapons all."
  19. Thanks, I just thought activity had slowed a little on the quest and I wasn't sure if that was due to lack of interest or busy schedules. I shouldn't have doubted you all, you're some of the most dedicated players Heroica has. IF PVP is upcoming then all back stabbing rogues should beware, Skrall now has a sword capable of decapitating a player in a single swipe. Now if only I had a Quick Draw Quiver...
  20. Thanks, I found it and corrected the mistake and also added the photo. Sorry if my quest is going longer than expected, I will say that the Party is almost 3/4 of the way done though.
  21. "Thank you sir, the trouble is I have all these files. I've got 3 folders eachadornedd with either a ship, a lightning bolt, or a shield. As you can see I have 6 documents here, Mr. Swifthorn invested in a magical filing system a few years back so that nothing ever got put in the wrong place. Each folder holds 2 documents but I can't remember which ones belong where and as I said the system only allows certain combinations. I'm sure once all these files are put in their proper place, that memo I mentioned will turn up." QM Note: There are 6 documents: Tan, Black, Royal Blue, Earth Blue, Grey, and Red. There are also 3 folders: Ship, Lightning Bolt, and Shield. Each folder will hold only 2 documents. Please try only one solution at a time and I will answer as quickly as possible.
  22. "Do any of your colleages wish to play or are they going to help Brigbrand sort through his paper mess?"
  23. Skrall tosses 10 Gold each to Arthur, Isabella, and Alexandre, pocketing 10 for himself. He calls out to the imperial soldier who had been watching the fight, "Go ahead and close the doors on that gate, we don't want anymore troops comin' in and proppin' the portculus up again. Alexandre, you come with me and see if we can find the commander of the fort. The rest of you troops see if you can bury these bodies or dispose of 'em in some way. I don't want the stench lowerin' the morale of the troops or anything."
  24. Jess wanders over to the U'Kin who looks up and smiles. "Hello mam, I am U'Toolen and I bid you hello. You seem like a lady with some money to spare which is what you seem to me. Are you familier with the rules of Triple Magic which you may or may not be familier with. Allow me to elaborate which I will now do. ~ The betting board contains six squares, each assigned with a different colour but referred to as their corresponding elements which are represented by the six squares on the betting board. Fire Water Wind Earth Light Darkness ~ Each player places the desired amount of gold on the element or elements they wish to bet on which is where they place their bet. ~ Three coloured dice are then thrown. ~ The player wins or loses their bet depending on which colours the three dice shows which determines if the player wins or loses gold. ~ If the colour the player bets on turns out once in the dice, the player will get their gold back because it only turned out once. ~ If the colour shows up twice, the player will win double the amount of bet, and if all three dice show the same colour that the player bet on, triple the amount which happens when the colour shows up twice or three times respectively. ~ If none of the dice show the colour that the player bet on, they lose their gold because the colour did not show up. Do you have any questions that I can answer because it is pretty straight forward unless I have to answer your questions."
  25. I would like to see Sorrow, Atramor, Boomingham, and Cronk on some sort of quest. Actually I'd like to see a quest with Syntax, McCafferey, Barty, and Cronk. Or a quest with Monk Pretzel, Hybros, Atramor, and Guts.
