The smell is definitely sewage, though given Eubric Freeport, that could include a lot of things! Hoke expends 1 ether to melt the bars and plunges into the darkness beyond. As the creator of the class, I see the point of throwing cards being included. But it has already been firmly decided by Sandy that throwing cards fall under the throwing weapon category and I side with his opinion on throwing weapons already being very extensively available to other classes. I've said it before and I'll say it again, adapt your character to the class, not the other way around, stretch your imagination and make the class work for you as opposed to asking for adjustments. In the end, you'll probably have a more unique character than you originally intended.

The Party heads back to the Gardens and after a bit of digging, they do find some broken shards of glass in the footprints in the mud. Unfortunately there are only shards and not a complete bottle. -

Skrall swayed into the marketplace, selling of his Shield for 25 Gold, the ogre moved over to Portia's. To the vendor's fright Skrall nearly upset the entire stand before clumsily pulling out 2 Smelling Salts, 1 Nostrum, 3 Remedies, and 5 Meads for 190 Gold, leaving him with 138 Gold.

"Swifthorn's establishment will be closed at this point. Are you planning on waking him?" The glassware does not match any of the bottles from either the Theater or the Lotus. Hoke does notice a small stamp on the bottom of the glass, but it is too small to be easily identifiable. -

Barlin wrinkles his nose at the glass. "What on olgeia is that smell?" "Now that you mention it, one of the privates did note some broken glassware outside the Theater during our original investigation. Didn't think much of it at the time, doesn't mean there isn't more around the other sites." Benji notes that the smell doesn't leave a trail and is restricted to the bottle itself. Althior peers into the window, but the interior of the observatory is dark. -

Hoke removes the clutter and finds: 20 Gold Buried just under the surface of the muk and mire of the street, Benji finds a shattered glass vial. The beastwarrior's sensitive nose picks out the distinct odor of noxious alchemical substances. The Mystic Knight spots claw marks up and down the columns, there appears to be no damage higher than 12 bricks. -

Sun is great, but I generally use two regular 60W incandescent desk lamps, one positioned above the scene, the other in front of the scene. I then mess around with lighting using Picasa and sometimes Gimp. I think most people would probably cringe at my setup.

"Not for another month or so, Wigglepike's got me staring in some show about two dueling crime families living in Eubric, very bold on his part if I may say so." The heroes stick around for another hour or so, patrons come in and out, some of them clearly inebriated, some in hurried and secretive manner, others casually waltz in and out. Nothing however seems to strike the trio as suspicious or note-worthy.
