"It implies that those filling them up at the mines don't care what cart they fill up, looks like they've even got a few missing." Xor shrugs. Ellaria sees that not only are the numbers of the carts random, they don't even seem to be all accounted for ranging from Cart 2 all the way to Cart 78. "Well it would make sense to me that any shortage would start at the source, so the mines."
-
It's definitely not a requirement and inclusion of the PC's in the photos for a quest is actually a rather new trend.

QM Note: I can see we're all getting worn down by this quest, so I'll see what I can do to liven it up and give you guys some hope, you're actually almost to the solution, but it lies in Frumpknob. "I don't mind at all." The heroes begin searching around the depot including inside the depot office. After a good couple of minutes the only odd observation is the cart numbers seem out of order. "Look we haven't found a thing and I don't know what sort of hunches you folks are going after, but it looks like this one's a bust. If your looking into the mythril shortage, I'd imagine you've been talking to all the dock-workers, the shop-keepers, the miners, right?"
-
"Always have been, always will be if you ask me, though some are a little more subtle about it."
-
"Sounds like a bloody mess. Good thing someone took care of the beastie though, it's only a hop skip and a jump to here and the last thing this city needs is a marauding dragon." "I've got a fair bit of gold myself Warlen, but it sounds like yer mind might be made up concernin' that letter. So I think I'll have to hold onto the talisman fer a little while longer. Let me know if ya change yer mind."
-
So anybody got any ideas for Beast Warrior Skrall? Hunter's great, but sticking with an advanced class after level 40 is really hurting his survivability.
-
"Long over-coat and you learn to stick to the shadows, plus my cleric training comes in handy. You're a moon elf aren't you? Little far from home?"
-
"I think my "formity" is quite laughable actually, truest irony I ever heard of. Don't worry, I've got no problem expressing myself when I take offense."
-
Boris smiles. "Deathly." The vampire takes another swig of his wine. "Though it's more an issue of hyper-sensitivity than allergy." "I'm quite alright sir, don't need other people taking offense for me."
-
"Do you think I would be here if He did? No, I may have left that life, but it doesn't mean there isn't some truth to His words." "Well as ya probably figure, I've plenty of gold. Tell ya what, come and have a pint with me. Have ya figured out who yer writin' yer letter of recommendation fer yet?"
-
"Have you fallen off of the mine cart? What's the meaning of this? I don't have any idea what you're talking about." Dumora pipes up. "I am curious as well, what sorts of evidence have you found? You mean the shortage isn't from the mines?"
-
"Well as it is said, Ennoc helps those who help themselves, but I do recall a certain passage,'Three ropes entwined are not easily rend, a pair of kindred spirits can ward off attackers, but the lone man will be overthrown.' The Weepings of Mosolon section four, stanza twelve." Boris sips from his goblet.

Skrall entered the hall as Warlen made his way out. "Heard yer were interested in this talisman, right?" The ogre kept the conversation going as he made his way up to the bar and ordered a tankard of mead.

Boris slides over to the Yeti, watching the sparks fly between Jinnipher and Lind, "This ought to be good, no? 5 gold, the winged knight takes a fist to the face from the elf?"
-
The dwarf gestured around him, "These 'mine carts' are pretty squeaky, I don't know maybe you could 'grease' them up a little."
-
"Agents of the High Chief? You're not dwarves and your form there only requires aid and assistance in searching and seizing. Fodmin's an old sop he is, a penny pincher."
-
I think it was more the "You get put on a boat" and the quest fails until Endgame can find heroes who are willing to kill his dragon.
-
But why couldn't it be a small party of relatively equal level heroes? Small Party =/= unbalanced, but does = easier to QM manage Large Party =/= unbalanced, but does = harder to QM manage
-
I'm not quite sure why a large party wouldn't be inherently unbalanced?

"The table is as free as your blood is of your drink's effects, my good sir. I've found as of recent the taste of ale is too bland for my palate."
-
While the epicness of large parties is indeed exhilarating, speaking from QM experience it is a logistical nightmare, not only in terms of battles but also ensuring that everyone is engaged in the adventure. On the subject of the Convert job trait I think it fits the High Priest excellently, I always thought of the skill as the PC doing something amazing like a miracle or something that would convince the person at least for the time being to follow them.
-
"None at all, shipments have been low out of Frumpknob, but it's understandable considering the mines drying up." Xor hands Nur the shipping records.
-
Boris strolls up to Thalion's table, "Pardon me, but I couldn't help but notice the fine aroma of Elven wine permeating the room. I have a bottle of Mopagian Merlot on my person, simple but well aged, that I'd be most willing to contribute to the table if I might join you."
-
The Dwarf gave a quizzical look and inspected the paper quickly, before standing straight. "Xor Bixbeard, Eastern Depot supervisor. This is Dixon, station worker." He indicated the dwarf to his right.
