The Party decides there's nothing much else for them on the current level and after some time locate a set of stairs leading down to the second level. "Nothing too fancy for the most part. There's a tavern, Orrik's Tankard or something like that, an emporium for supplies, and over there is the miners' union headquarters." QM Note: The Rail Map puzzle has been fixed, there were two identical pieces uploaded which made it unsolvable. Feel free to PM the solution at anytime for experience. My apologies for any frustration it might have led to.

"Um, no he's on the Quakers. Three shifts on, three shift off is how it works around here."
-
"Ya missed the whole set of rails and scaffolding on your way here? The mined mythril is smelted and refined here before it's sent on its way to the Eastern Depot. Some of it goes directly to Brumpknob for turning into weapons, armor, and all sorts of things the rest continues on its way to the Western Depot and is unloaded onto boats at Krumpknob and shipped out to the rest of the mainland."
-
"No, I'm waiting for my fiance to get off his shift." "Who knows, there might be someone taming them, but that goes beyond my wizard training."
-
"Jimmimiah scripted this scroll himself. Jimmimiah thinks scroll is worth 150 Gold, but Jimmimiah not have a big scroll collection. T'would be a terrible thing if scroll fell into wrong hands though." "There's always spare caps down below, but you'll want to stop by Figaro's on the level below here to pick up a canary."
-
"Oh this is just the slag, it works for a building material, but that's about it. There's plenty of Mythril, it just ships directly from smelting onto the rail system on the lower level."
-
"Jimmimiah proud user of Ewin McGregor's beard cream. As far as Jimmimiah knows, Jimmimiah only one working on spell. Besides, Frumpknob not have any issues recently with Scarlet Worms." The orc unfurls a scroll. Scroll of the Chasm (When cast, has a 50/50 chance to tame a Dark monster for the next six rounds at the cost of 10 ether)
-
"Jimmimiah is glad to make Ms. Arbour's acquaintance, Ms. Arbour. Jimmimiah is afraid Jimmimiah is not acquainted with Eubric, though Jimmimiah is sure it must be a lovely country. Jimmimiah was born in Brumpknob and has been living down here for twenty nine years. Ellaria has never heard of a Cavern Diviner? Cavern Diviner, like geomancer, Jimmimiah assists mining crews by telling them where to dig and pointing out weak spots in tunnel construction. Jimmimiah also helps unclear cave-ins where digging machines cannot reach. Scarlet worms are just big puppy cats, no trouble to miners if unprovoked. Jimmimiah working on way to tame worms though." "Nope, I've got the pleasure of going down into this every day to smelt. Careful now, I've got a load of fresh slag coming up now." Atramor notices a small elevator platform rising filled with carts of darkened metal. "Aren't you a strange sort, can't say I ever saw one of these things up close." The dwarf pats Alfred on the head. "Worms? Like Scarlet ones? Strange, usually they avoid us and we avoid them. We'll run into one every once and a while down there, but we just let 'em be until they've passed on through. If you're heading down into the mines themselves, make sure you don't forget your safety gear."
-
"Oh we've slowly been replacing the loader older models, we're currently paying off the lease on the new one to Kogs. Each of the crews tend to their own equipment and while we may get a bit fiesty with the other crews, it's a good ol' fashioned rivalry on who can put up the highest numbers, last month as the Drilling Dragons. Mine be the Gratin' Golems, then you've got the Rushing Rubies, the Debating Dozers, the Enervated Excavators, and the Quarrying Quakers."
-
Unfortunately, the more PC's the longer the quests end up being as well. It takes twice as long for a party of six to make a decision than a party of three.
-
Scuba created them, I think the last quest they were seen in was Quest 116.

Warden advanced class is available to either starting rangers or starting knights and can use artifacts and weapons suitable for either base class. Concerning your medal, honestly it's useful but it's not as powerful as some people make them out to be, once you hit the higher levels, 4 extra health or 4 extra damage aren't really that important. And starting over with a new character is the trade-off for the time you've invested in Mhinak thus far, you don't get to benefit from the time you've put into Mhinak and the exact character you want, none of us have before.
-
The dwarf shrugs. "Beats me, my crew has been putting out great production for the past three days hitting vein after vein. There are five other crews, so maybe we're just lucky. We did just get a new Load Worker 450, so that's made a few things easier."
-
It may be worth noting that not all Dragoons will side with Shadeaux, just as not all Beast Warriors will side with the Wolf Gang.

Like Zepher said, I don't think there's any issue with you restarting your character, but there is with transferring over your equipment, even if you did end up with a good piece of loot from the lottery. Speaking from experience of killing a relatively new character off, I can understand if something just isn't working and you want to start again, but you shouldn't expect special treatment. We all abide by the same rules, generally for the good of the game as a whole. If it's a play style issue, understand that Rangers are actually as powerful (damage wise, high DPR) and survivable (health wise, back row = HPx2) as Barbarians for the most part. If you feel you aren't getting that, than wait for the advanced classes and take something like Hunter or Warden or start anew. Warden't have plenty of artifacts available to them as they're can use any artifacts suitable to knights which are the kings of SP. If you're looking for specific artifacts that help the survivablity of Wardens you want to look for elemental and effect immunities, things that do damage when you take damage, and damage reducers or evaders.

"T'would be if Jimmimiah were a surface dweller, lovely lady." The orc removes his hat and bows deeply. "Jimmimiah is but a lowly cavern diviner. And who does Jimmimiah have the pleasure of addressing?" "If you're a lousy rusty pick-axe I suppose. Nay, I just got off an exhilarating shift, we were digging through an anticline when we came upon a magnificent rider, the fellows and I set upon it like a ripper, making sure we left a good deal of pillars before we ended up at a hogsback. Nothing like a good old hogsback am I right?"

Unable to piece the puzzle together for the time being, the Party continues onward and soon finds themselves on the first level of the city of Frumpknob. "Not much on this level except for residences, but I'm sure you'll plenty of folks to talk with if you want."
-
The Party makes it to the outskirts of Frumpknob and as they travel, Atramor notes some soiled scraps of paper scattered upon the ground. Upon closer inspection the drafter realizes that the scraps are actually pieces to a map, though it's difficult to tell how they all fit together. What is clear is that the pieces look like the could be arranged in a three by three grid. "Huh, looks like the pieces to a rail-map, as long as all the colors match up and the studs are across from a plate, I think we could piece this back together." QM Note: Feel free to rotate the pieces and rearrange them as you wish. PM the solution for experience, you'll have 24 hrs. If it wasn't clear, you'll need to match the colors and make sure the corresponding colored stud is next to a plate.

Wondered when this topic was finally going to make it's way through Heroica. I think JimB said it best that trying to pin our characters down with a single label really does them an injustice. If you take a look at the careers of any character with more than two quests under their belt, you'd be hard pressed not to find examples of several of the alignments. We like using them to easily figure out how a character would respond in a situation, but ultimately if we're playing our characters as real personalities they're never going to line up to those suppositions nicely. People in real life are contradictory, we're born to forever be assuming the motives of others and reassuring our own. In the world of Heroica it's hard to say what is acceptable and what isn't because ultimately we've got a good variety of moral systems at work. For a brief example we've got the moral system of Ennoc and those of the Green Skin people in Baltarok, both have similarities in their moral systems but also a few vast differences and all of this is compounded by the moral systems that we each personally bring to the game. It's this conglomeration of real morality blended with the moralities of the game world that make things fuzzy and hard to sometimes meld together or neatly pin down. Ultimately, I think the game has worked so far because people have understood this tension, but lately as "moral" choices are having a bigger and bigger impact on the events of the game the tensions have grown as the consequences of those choices are coming into contact with time invested by other players who may have made different choices. It's a whole lot more complex and not one I'm sure, I'd like to dedicate myself to, but it's interesting seeing it finally being brought up. For those of you who'd like a little label to put on Skrall, he's Neutral Good. As for Boris, well he definitely was lawful good, but I haven't figured out where he's landed since he became a vampire.

The group thanks Xor for his time and begins to make their way to Frumpkinknob. "Yah have to understand, Frumpknob was the last of the Dwarven cities to be colonized and it wasn't a city proper till a couple decades ago. The city grew up around the mythril mines and as the mines expanded so did the city." Dumora unfurled a map of Frumpknob. "The city is built on cascading tiers with the mines at the lowest levels, smelting and production above that, and then the residential and commercial areas at the top. Most of the transportation is conducted via stairway and long polished slides, but most of the ore is shuttled via a system of elevators."

Working on it.
