Here on Eurobricks you can post your own review of a set you want to review instead of tacking it on to the end of somebody else's like they do at FBTB.
-
'Little' being a relative term, as the set is over 40% too big for the minifigure.
-
Wookieepedia likes to invent random dimensions for things (9.8m for TIE Advanced x1 - wait, WHAT?) so the best thing to do is take a few screen captures and approximate dimensions (e. g. those clones are all the same height after all so pretend a minifigure is as tall as a clone and go from there). Having seen your other MOC choices I'm sure you're used to working with CGI reference. EDIT: If you search 'Clone Turbo Tank' on Google you're going to have a bunch of toy pictures pop up. Search 'HAV/w Juggernaut' and you should be fine.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Given that extending the Neo-Clone Wars through the Outer Rim Sieges actually would have it come into conflict with previous Lucas-approved canon (Clone Wars Chapters 22-25) I doubt it. I suppose they could flesh out the invasions of Mygeeto, Felucia, etc. prior to Order 66, since they were only seen in the films for a few seconds. Filoni does respect the Expanded Universe so you can't really be sure. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Worst Star Wars nerds indeed... I have to say though that 8039 is so ugly you're better off taking the frame from 6211 and making your own hull. For a Venator with an opening dorsal hangar bay, consult Brickdoctor's model... -
Sorry.

Do you "correct" sets as you build?
Fallenangel replied to Siegfried's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Some of the sets I'd like to fix are so far beyond hope that I find it easier and more enjoyable to start from scratch: I guess from a non-AFOL perspective 6212 is doubleplusgood but as I have no use for minifigure representations of the entire lineup I'll just stick with my amorphous blob of boring. -
Aryogono's Imperial Death Squadron Spaceships
Fallenangel replied to DLuders's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I thought the Juggernaut was from a Star Wars role-playing game. You could say the same for the EF76s. They're absolutely dwarfed next to this Imperial Death Squadron. -
Man, and I thought I had an attitude problem. I agree with KielDaMan's suggestion. Further, we should also replace all demeaning nouns with 'Comrade', expressions of frustration with 'B-B!', and spam posts such as 'cool', 'this is awesome', etc. with 'doubleplusgood'.

Aryogono's Imperial Death Squadron Spaceships
Fallenangel replied to DLuders's topic in LEGO Star Wars
There are actually similar debates about the Executor and the Falcon. And then there's also this. Of course, these are far more easily resolved since they are scaled studio models. And you thought you knew too much about Star Wars. -
I thought there weren't any instructions. If I remember correctly, Anio said he only had instructions made for his UCS TIE/ln and pod racer, on the premise that his Slave I was relatively easy to replicate from pictures (as can be inferred from this thread). Sadly, according to him there is no easy way to replicate his Executor or his groundbreaking UCS AT-TE ( )...

 What's funny is that in review of 7141 the reviewer actually does spin it - and it turns out that 7141 spins fairly well!
-
Upon seeing the title of this thread I honestly expected an MOC depicting Padme's ridiculously comical "We've got to get to that hangar" scene from Clones. All hail the mighty krayt dragons of Tatooine...
-
? But then Ani can't fire the torpedo and accidentally destroy the droid control ship. Besides, those flick-fire missiles have got to go somewhere.

Given how many kids would buy a $100+ set for a cool or rare minifigure, an Executor bridge set would sell pretty well. Remember though that all of these bounty hunters were pretty important in Shadows of the Empire, so this could be alongside the Outrider, Hound's Tooth, Virago, and IG-2000. (As well as some swoops, of course.)

Come on legojazzbricks, you can do it! And your comic was good too!

Yeah, I can see this as the next $11 set. The single-cannon droid tri-fighter variant, four-cannon Octuptarra tri-droid variant, and Grievous' tri-winged shuttle are also possibilities. Seismic tank playset? Mon Calamari Knights battlepack... Delta-7B, aquatic variant... Finally, an excuse for LEGO to rethink their X-wing! -
Star Wars Miniland to come in LEGOLand California
Fallenangel replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm really curious as to why the LAAT/i, LAAT/c and AT-TE look so contorted; the proportions on most of the other models (the AAT and AT-ST for example) aren't nearly as bad. I agree, that Octuptarra tri-droid looks fantastic. Too bad it's the one from The Clone Wars; I was really expecting to see one of these. What is that? -
My sincerest apologies KielDaMan. I was really being out of line there. Please excuse me.

Aryogono's Imperial Death Squadron Spaceships
Fallenangel replied to DLuders's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They could be any one of these. Perhaps they're Dominators? This guy must really know his Expanded Universe. -
Don't underestimate KielDaMan's MOCing abilities. Narrow-mindedness and a failure to see potential for improvement is not going to help anyone around here. Anyway, on to the MOC. The decision to make the back slimmer certainly makes the craft much sleeker, which is nice. The 1x2 tiles are a big improvement as well; looking at your previous rendition the skis look rather goofy compared to what you've got there now. A couple things I would address: - The side-mounted handlebars are rather obtrusive; I would either have them on top or get rid of them to retain the sleekness of the nose. - Is there a different way to represent the air intakes in the rear at this size? The construction you've got with the wing plates is just too blocky, especially now that there are 1x2 tiles there. I guess I feel the same way about the front intake as well. - The dark bit on the underside of the forward intake makes the nose look too bulky; I would suggest you omit that feature.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I swear, these scriptwriters have really got something against Grievous. I wonder if this means we'll see some Manta droid subfighters. -
You've done some impressive work in such a small size. I like the way you've kept the studless motif of the 10212, and the inclusion of the darker bits looks very nice! There are a couple things I think you could change, though: 1. The main body just looks really fat to me. The Lambda shuttle is a starship that should epitomize sleekness; I would suggest making it a couple of studs shorter. 2. The protuding engine section and wing-mounted cannons interrupt the smooth lines of the ship. The whole thing would look much cleaner if you were to try and integrate those into the main body and wings a little more. 3. A personal thing: that canopy piece just doesn't do it for me - it makes the head too square. Some SNOTed plates would be the way to go there. 4. Surely you could do something to make the hinges for the wings less blocky and obtrusive. Overall a very clean and smooth MOC, though it could admittedly be a bit sleeker.

The Chimaera... Really, there are some pretty neat Expanded Universe starships that would make great sets: - E-wing (Dark Empire) (Look at that funny-looking X-wing daddy!) - K-wing (Black Fleet Crisis) (Look at that big airplane thing daddy!) - V-wing airspeeder (Dark Empire) (Look at that funny-looking snowspeeder Daddy!) - Katana playset (Thrawn Trilogy) (Look it's Luke Skywalker on a big bad guy ship daddy!) - Tandem X-wing (Crimson Empire) (Look daddy this X-wing can have two people riding in it!) - UCS Eclipse... And those are just a few...
