  1. I've redone the color scheme on my smaller house, and rebuilt the Trade Building into a small fort/barracks thingy. All Pictures here. I still don't have an official plan up yet, but here's some concept art to wet your whistle!
  2. I don't know if the normal pirate flag is available from them, you could check. Also, blucoat flags would be nice.
  3. No, that one is an anomalie, most are trophy wives, but some ARE redcoat assasins :pir-skull:
  4. Or just sail right past it- the wake from this thing once sank an entire bluecoat city - today we call it Atlantis.
  5. Oh, excellent, now we will know what to put on your headstones :pir-skull:
  6. My MOC will be ready for posting tomorrow. Do you want me to post then instead of on August 3rd?
  7. So there is some hope, they will probably rebuild it because it's such a national treasure.
  8. Oh no! What a tragedy! How could a big ship like that in the middle of a big square catch fire without someone noticing? I'm sorry to hear this...
  9. That's awesome... How long did it take you to build an army like that up? And how much did it cost? They're customs . And good ones, at that!
  10. Wow, these are cool! I like your use of multiple pirate flags- they really are great designs! I think many of us would like to see more decals like this, perhaps you could do new 2008-2009 heads and torsos for additions to the MLCAD minifig library.
  11. Their GORGEOUS!!! And I don't say that to everyone! When I look at what you make, I can help but think that my stuff is crap compared to it. The house is so friken' realistic, and that ship is to die for! The rounded stern Will it be a schooner? Again, a magnificent creation, I think it's realistic to say that you'll be seeing bits of your creations in my MOC's for a long time!
  12. Wow, thanks! I've been out for awhile, but i'm back and I'm going to finish this thing no matter what! So here's what has happened so far: I have decided that the plan I was going to use wasn't working for me, so I scrapped it. Ther maritime offices will be refurbished into a naval storehouse. The port will no longer be flat, but will be built on a hill side. The trade building looked too modern, so I'm going to put in the 2x1x2.66 arched window pieces instead of those large openings, put battlements on top of the roof instead of slopes, and make it a barracks., which will be on the second level of the port. On top of the hill will be the church, looking out over the town. This design makes modularity possible, and I will eventually expand the port. here's my progress: I've built the first level: The baseplates will be blue, not grey. I may change the white/tan house, I'm not sure it goes well with the tan/brown one.
  13. Yes, i'd recommend the Tic Tac Toe game for army building, I mean, you can't have a commander for every soldier, can you? And the current battlepack includes both factions, and only 2 minifigs from each. I would prefer 5 from the same faction, and I believe it would sell more.
  14. That looks amazing, MayDay! The buildings really go great together, and the terrain is excellent! This port design will really help me with mine. Amazing work!
  15. Too bad i'm a vegetarian They only look docile from a distance, but when the bluecoats approach, they become living machines of death and destruction amongst their ranks! They're a mount, a battering ram, and your squad's rations all in one!
  16. I haven't posted updates for awhile, because i've been working on my port, so here ismy current status: On this day, July twenty-four of the year 1795, the british frigate HMS Conquest, designed and built by the great Admiral Michael, is officialy complete! Well, not really. It still needs to be built with bricks ! Now if only I can muster up $200... See all the pictures on brickshelf when moderated.
  17. Forgive me, those are american army uniforms from 1770-1810, how could I have made a mistake like that?!
  18. The cows are kinda cute... But wait! This would be perfect for our tornament of retribution! Shhhh... don't give away our tactics !
  19. The mafia linguist, now I've heard it all But you're right, it is Santa Lucia. Now i've got to find out what "santa fe" means, and what the feminine name "fe" is in english
  20. It would probably be located in the Southwest US/Mexico, and, while the redcoats conquered much of the world, they didn't conquer this area. Spain lost it's colonies in the Western US in the early 1800's, and Mexico rebelled from Spain. Since american soldiers wore blue uniforms, those soldiers very well could be the mexican army (if you add a few tassels ).
  21. You had to bring up the War of 1812 . This kind of thing is like the Redcoat Vs. Bluecoat issue, and distracts from the MOC. Sorry if I sound like a mod, but now I realize why CGH banned RVB in MOC threads. Anyways, this landing craft is looking good! The paneling looks nice, but if you are going to make soldiers for the ship, this is a good torso (I made it ). You can use it with white legs, red epaulettes and a tricorne, for historical accuracy. The shakos and torsos are, in my opinion, too imperialistic for an american army:
  22. That's some great terrain work, Mayday! It looks so realistic! The use of slopes, plates, and bricks really helps to make it look superb! Excellent job!
  23. And that castle would look really nice MOC'ed! I may use it in my port!
  24. I've been working pretty hard, and here is my result: The first house is one story and is constructed with the tan/white color scheme. The second building is a tavern, which I will expand. I'll also be adding a red and white awning to the trade building for greater effect. I like the church as a centerpiece, and I like the tree, but I'm not sure I like it at the center of the square. I may move it, or delete it entirely. House (I may push the tavern back 8 studs so it doesn't block this building as much): Tavern (the brown accents really make this building stand out):
  25. Yes, I remember you frontpaging Captian Cavino's LDD Fluyt. I would be thrilled if you frontpaged my work ! I've begun work on 2 houses, so stay tuned for updates!
