  1. Sooooooo? I'm sure we could find a way to fit it in. It's me, Batty and Skinny Boy now, and I don't want this build to die!
  2. That is seriously amazing. I love the detail he put into it.
  3. The other day, I stopped by my local lego store to pick up some soldiers impulses. I found this: It's product name is "King's Shield". I haven't seen any factions with that color scheme, nor have I seen this accessory before. It leads me to believe that we might have a another human faction next year. What are your thoughts? (My apologies if this has already been posted, searching "LEGO Kings Shield" comes up with just about every thread on the forum)
  4. I really wish lego would continue to make the theme, it really could become quite popular. Oh well, what's done is done, and I don't think we can change it. Do you think they are genocidal against yellows?
  5. Wow! That's economical AND enviromental! Recycling! Great job for taking the initiative, Paul.
  6. Firstly, Lego Pirates was one of the first themes, one of only 4 up until around the 1980's (?) and really should be one of the more permanant theme. And also, remember the last time lego pirates went on a break? IT WAS GONE FOR 13 YEARS. That is not very reassuring.
  7. I'm too depressed to make a speach. Why, lego, WHY? Signed
  8. Well, we don't know for sure that there are no more sets coming, you never know!
  9. Here's a row of buildings that will be used in the port. They have similar color schemes, and can open to add interior. You can see closeups of all of them here, when public.
  10. Sorry, Sir Wellington, but I think this decision is set in stone. They couldn't produce any more sets until 2011 if they started now. And they've probably already begun designing PoTC sets.
  11. Though I prefer the normal lego pirates theme, a PoTC theme might actually not be that bad. Think about it- we could have a Port Royal set, a Fort Charles, some Royal Navy and Pirate ships... It might not be too bad. Of course, it'll be in flesh tones, so I'd probably only use the torsos and hats, but it might actually be cool! What are your thoughts on this?
  12. I found a similar problem with the torsos and arms of my castle figs in my crownie battlepack. The colors weren't wrong, though.
  13. To kill one of the greatest historic themes is a blunder. To kill it after one wave? That is stupidity. And it basically means lego lego loses $300+ from me alone, saving up that much for the next waves. Not to mention from all the AFOLS, and teens, and kids that will miss out. And when pirates come back, in 2011, they shall be with fleshies, and different uniforms, and ghost ships, and with Jack Sparrow at the helm- something not many of us want, not something many of us think is "better". Of all the kids I know, STAR WARS tends to end when you become 10. Most of the kids in my family used to like Star Wars, but have outgrown it. They prefer Castle and Pirates, and what's more, 2 kids, aged 12 and 11, actually want an extention to MMV, AND an imperial ship exclusive, AND and a civilian port scene, AND prefer yellows to fleshies. Remind you of ayonyone? I truely find this decision odd. It looked like all signs pointed towards a new wave being released in december. I guess we were wrong. And so is lego. I hope that lego shall come to it's sences and continue with LEGO pirates in the future, and use the set designs submitted by our members to shape the future of the theme.
  14. Thanks. I actually "discovered" your comic about 3 months ago, but hadn't commented until just now. Really, your comic has just the right combination of humor and suspense. hehe, screwed with a capital F, I can use that...
  15. Great comics, Kdog! You really deserved that reward! I look forward to reading your comic every week!
  16. You are a true master at this sport, ZCerberus! Those houses are beautiful! Such inspiration!
  17. LEGO is denying a product to over 20 million children in the US? Not to mention all the AFOL's... This is a ridiculous blunder, LEGO should have learned this lesson with the Castle advent calender! If LEGO is selling pirates products in one country, they should sell it in another. I know for a fact this would sell well here! Sincerely, Michael Costello -Admiral M-
  18. I'm really sorry about this, guys, but my god-darned camera still won't work with my computer, nor the library's. I'm still in, but I can't be sure when my MOC will get posted. Once again, I'm really sorry, someone else can start if they're ready.
  19. I haven't been updating you on this project, but never fear, it's coming along well! I changed the layout (again ), now the buildings sit 2.33 studs above the baseplate. I'm not sure yet if i'll use that fort design yet, I may change it, but I'm happy about it for now.
  20. Thanks for the feedback, guys! For my latest WIP, port St. Brick, I shall be using fort 2, with an added lookout tower in the back-left corner. I shall keep the other 2 designs, and maybe use them in other MOCs. Cheers!
  21. I'll post my vig tomorrow(I hope) so we can start then, if someone else doesn't post.
  22. What I really mean is a 64x64 base, made up of four 32x32 baseplates. If I do use that model, I'm defenitely doing that! Thanks for the tip. You're right, it's impossible to do in LDD. Thanks!
  23. Good point, though all that really matters is how thick his deck is. If it's only one plate deep, It really wouldn't make sence to use SNOT. Of course, anything else makes it look good, so we really would have to know the deck's depth.
  24. Well, I use 1x3 plates, they look better than 1x2 and don't move as easy:
  25. Ah, I see how you did it! You're helping me, too, though with what I don't know! Of course, since Cpt. Harlowe's deck isn't going to be as thick as yours, Perhaps instead he should do a conventional grid instead of SNOT.
