  1. Look, I saw the ship at ComicCon: I'm sure this topic is littered with pics of this, but if you'd like to see some more from the LEGO ComicCon setup check out my Flickr photostream.
  2. One reason I can barely stay awake right now is because it only took us two months. And yes that was while I was gone for two weeks of Brickworld as well... I'm so sleepy... I've been slap happy all night since we got to the Con. Everything is funny, especially something that is completely not funny nor depressing. Every sentence spoke to me tonight was hilarious. I cried laughter all night. I'm tired.
  3. My best friend and co-worker asked me to help him build a castle after The LEGO Group asked him to bring something for ComicCon. Here is the result: (I built the Castle in the earth tones and the gray wall with burnt gatehouse coming out of the water. My friend built the gray castle with the tall turret and the awesome roof technique. A lot of my wall in the water is based on his tiling techniques and I copy his roof technique in a couple of places too. He built the rocks that they sit on and I put down most of the water. We both had our little jobs cut out for us. To see lots of pictures of it, check out my Flickr gallery.

Please discuss those in this thread.
  5. Cool beans, Ricey! I really like the slanted hood. Nice effect there. You packed a lot of detail into a realistic mini-fig scale vehicle. That's not an easy feat but you've done so masterfully here. I especially like the use of shutters. Excellent work buddy! I even blogged it!
  6. This is really beautiful. The round turret is incredibly successful and I like the addition of a trolley into the street. I think the trolley itself seems a little plain. Perhaps the red area could be more ornate or have some printed tile. Other than that, it is an expert build and incredibly lovely. Excellent work! Thanks for sharing it with us. And by the way I blogged it.
  7. The Hookah is really fantastic. I also love the vegetables in the little baskets. There's a lot of fine detail in a really small space, yet it doesn't feel overly cramped. Excellent work. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  8. Yes, I've changed the concept. Well, at least the original setting. Characters and locations have been reduced, just so that it has even the slightest chance of ever being published. Thank you for the advice! I didn't want to put propellors on it. Even though most steampunk creations have them, I associate that more with airships. This just has a steam engine and some pistons. I suppose it may not be steampunk, but whatever it is that's what Book of the Ancients is. I'm happier with this MOC than I have been with a MOC for quite some time. It's exactly what's in my head for the story, so no changes. Thanks! Yes, I agree that it's loads better my dick. I threw my dick together super fast because I had run out of time and needed to pack for Brickworld. Thanks Rufus! I did originally want to throw some brown in. Actually I have plenty of the dark brown ones from the Toy Story set. However, I liked the newer metal look. I didn't want this one to look rusted or bronze. Perhaps with time, through the story, I can replace some of those parts with brown. That's a cool idea.   Yeah, soon. Ah... You're hilarious. Thanks for the compliment, too. Fooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog!!!! Yay! Thanks for the nice compliments. I wish I could've added this to the EB display. I would create a video of it running but I still can't find my monorail cable. * creates TazManiac want list * * begins working on it *
  9. You missed one. Your title was On the Can for a short time.
  10. Why do I keep reading this? My brain cells are dying. Thank you for the summary. This is an excellent point. I had been thinking it but the rash and my lack of brain cells kept me from putting in that effort.
  11. Siegfried, awesome title for Pep! Cam, I love you.
  12. It looks like I Scream Clone has redeemed himself.
  13. You are one bad title away from losing your Control Panel access, Mister.
  14. And mostly, surviving is not winning. The town or scum team wins, not just the survivors. Or, at least we're going to see how people take to that concept. But, as Draggy said, in due time.
  15. No no. I'm using it to potty train the puppy.
  16. Yes, it was removed for a reason. We have a new method of keeping track of this and we'll announce it when we're ready.
  17.  You have so much room to talk about bad grammar, sok!
  18. We expect proper grammar, capitalization and controlled use of exclamation points here. Please don't let this happen again. Thank you.
  19. I'm surprised that I'm not being typical Hinckley and PMing all of you who are still playing. I shot out a couple messages to some people after I died, but hardly talked strategy. I just accused a few people. But I'm actually watching and not meddling. Who am I?
  20. Kevinlee, if you wish to start a new topic, you must his the "start new topic" button. Right now, you are just replying to another member's welcome topic...
  21. I'm practically speechless Practically... This is really an amazing MOC. I'm so glad you've decided to share it with us. Thank you. You did a masterful job capturing the scene. I really love all the detail you sneaked in. The trees, the curved wall of the lower level, the crumbled columns. Very nice rock work too. I like your use of forced perspective here. It's very natural. I would imagine if the camera panned around to view from the gorge, the entire castle would be there! Excellent job.
  22. Go Queen of the Mechanics! That's an expert build, Pep. Thanks for sharing. What I appreciate most, right off the bat, is that it's obvious this doesn't follow the many LEGO issued plane sets out there. This is a unique design that captures an authentic World War II fighter. And I always appreciate a MOCer that brings us a snippit of history along with their model. I particularly like the design element behind the propeller. I don't recognize it. Is it a custom?
  23. Oh, that's what that was. Potty-training the new puppy with it...
