Again, my eyes roll from the ecstasy of being spoken to by you. Here's your crepe. Oh, hot one. Are you asking me why I'm being so bold? Do you really not know why I love you? Not that I need an excuse...or are you just egging me on? I hope you're egging me on, because I love getting attention from you. Any form of attention is a rush to my system! I adore everything about you, hottest sexiest man in the world.

My eyes roll into the back of my head every time I think of you, my stallion. ... Oh, but you feel free to ride my megablocks all you want. It's so easy to talk so much when I have an intelligent, sexy man like you to converse with. You're so stimulating. Oh yes, of course, oops... Shalonda never has to say oops. Perfect men who never make mistakes don't have to say oops. Shalonda, you so hot, me so horny!

I'll take a freakin' crepe, I guess. God help me. Thanks for the advice, Genius. However would we have know to be careful without you? And how do we stop ourselves from being "misdirected, blocked or killed?" Oh wise sage? What level of careful do we have to be to avoid that? Idiot. But a very hot idiot. Should we play a game of hide the pickle? I bet your pickle's hot. I saw you microwaving it. That was brilliant. I like hot pickles, too. You're hot. I think I may love you. You make me ache with desire.

Doesn't have a Night Action? Is that the result you got? I thought it was supposed to tell us if there was a kill or not... I thought it was becoming clear that none of us had Night Actions. The meds are the Actions. Shalonda, were you checking me out? I hope so. Maybe we can go up to my room later and add some of my blood to that sexy shirt of yours.

Unless you have a reason to wait, spill it please. Have I mentioned how hot Shalonda is? Shalonda, have I ever told you how attracted I am to men with gold bricks on their heads and bloody t-shirts? Woof, Shalonda. Woof Woof.

I've seen a peanut stand, I've seen a rubber band, I've seen a needle that winked it's eye. But I'll be done seen about everything when I see a communist wear a tuxedo... What the megabluck am I talking about?

And how does she know you're not? Tell her to trust no one!

Yes, but slightly odd that it was revealed before the morning. Definitely good to know that we got him, though.

This is already being discussed in this topic. Thank you.

Theme Simply stated, the theme of a story is the point the author is trying to get across. What does your story say about life? It can be a simple, open-ended theme. For example, the theme could be about humor. The author could be trying to remind everyone to have fun in life, and try to help them along by making them laugh or giving them good ideas to have fun in recreation. Or it can be a more complicated concept like trying to convey a point that makes the reader realize that over-automation can lead to killer results for those who rely too much on technology. Character An author should have a good idea of how their characters would react to any situation. Their characters should have unique reactions to each situation, some varied, some nuanced. Getting into small details of a character's personality takes a lot of time and in-depth thought. This usually happens organically and it's good to keep a word doc with character info that you can easily access and jot in notes about your characters. Let's start very generally with the definition of a character, in terms of a comic's theme. A character's story is often described as a through-line. The through-line is the characters journey. How does the character change from the beginning of the story to the end of the story? The change the character goes through should convey the story's theme. Lesson 1 Simply state your story's theme. Analyze how you plan to demonstrate this viewpoint with a basic story arc. Choose three characters from this story and detail how they will change from beginning to end. Compare these characters' through-lines to the comic's theme and explain how their journey demonstrates your theme. Start a new topic to complete this lesson. Ask any questions you have about the lesson in the topic you start. You can always update the first post with new ideas or changes to your lesson's answer. Have fun!

I'm so sorry this has happened to you today, Dr. Bovary. What an aggravating way to try and communicate with everyone.
-
I don't think that's a good idea. If we know of a powerful role, why would we keep it between two people? And if he's not Scum, but a Serial Killer? How do we know you two aren't Scum, luckily picking a powerful Action on Night One and finding the Serial Killer to deliver up to us? I think no. Somebody else should take the White Crystals tomorrow...

Dr. Bethany Bovery, please stop posting! Whatever your med has done to you, you're incurring penalties for apparently doing it wrong. If you penalty yourself out, we'll have Lumpy free to kill another night. So just don't post please!!

Well then, take the club out of your hand. You stuff it, seriously. I know you're not into the plays, but something more coy would've been smart. That way you could gauge people's reactions. Now, what else is anyone to do but Vote: Zed "Lumpy" Furby (Zepher) If you'd have built a slower case and started a vote before revealing all, we could've learned something by who voted and unvoted. Or even if you had started by telling us you had tracked the killer, we could've learned something from people's responses. But now, everyone will vote the same and we have another day when we can't discern any vote pattern. And I wasn't beating the dead horse against you. I was reminding all of us not to reveal what the meds do. I think it's dangerous. Not everything is about you. I believe what you did was in the interest of the Town, but you're being self-centered thinking that I'm attacking you. If you've just delivered up a Scum to us, then we're on the same side. Stop talking to me like I'm stupid. I really hate that.

This is a good point. No gut instincts this time. Watch the people who use the items that you know, for sure, what they do. But stop revealing what your meds do in the day thread. It's great we have Lumpy exposed, but the risk that was taken by Boo and Shalonda is huge and careless. That being said, eventually we will have a good idea of what every med does. I'm not sure I like this idea of meds as Actions yet, but one thing's for sure, everything will be out in the open soon. I need to get some rest.

If it is, I would suggest doing one of two things: 1. Steal from the person who had the pill before you, just to bridge the gap. They'll know what happened and shouldn't cause any confusion for the thievee. They'll know you did it anyway, just by seeing what pill you took that day. 2. Use it to steal from someone you already trust. It's a good way for the Town to kind of swap Actions. I think that's a pretty sound strategy.

OK, another med thievery. If all of our actions are meds then we've found one that has an obvious tell when used.

I don't think we can vote yet. In other news, it's good that Fraulein Bloodbrick didn't kill one of us again like she did Marcy Maeby. I wonder what that was about or if it will happen again...

Good memory! This does bring up the point that while an insane doctor is plausible, I would imagine that he accidentally kills someone when trying to repair a gunshot wound. Wouldn't the killer had to have targeted Crackerman as well? What are the odds that the insane doctor and a killer targeted Crackerman on the same night? And then wouldn't we have seen that happen in the surveillance photos? Instead we are to believe that the doctor accidentally dresses as Darth Vader and accidentally decapitates and vivisects his target with a gunblade... Thanks to Boo and Shalonda, or whatever their names are, for bringing this to our attention. Silly to have revealed so much but definitely helps us. Someone please, if you have a protective med, use it on one of these two tonight. And considering what's been revealed and the few people I've talked to behind the scenes, the meds do appear ridiculously powerful for just a replacement for the inventor role. Is it safe to assume there are no fixed roles in this game and it's the meds that give us Night Actions? Seriously, raise your hand if you're not a Vanilla Townie. Which, of course, really makes Zed's claim unbelievable. Actually, the accidental dressing as Darth Vader and mistakenly vivisecting his target makes it unbelievable but this would certainly push it over the top. It looks like today will be an easy vote.
-
I have trouble believing this, although I give you credit for conducting a rather clever ruse. It seems more and more likely that the meds are our only Night Actions, considering how powerful they are all proving. I doubt you have a fixed role. Sorry...

Stop yelling at me and rolling your eyes at me! I'm trying to work with you. You're so aggravating. Can't you just move on with the positive? I'm endorsing voting out Zed. You're probably right and we have to test the results. Jesus, you can be rude. However, should we stop revealing what our meds do? What if they do the same thing every day? You're putting others at risk. You're even pointing out who took your med today. Knowledge is power, but it's just as powerful for the Scum to know what the meds do? Are we to reveal what all meds do? Let the Scum know who to take out? What if the meds are our only Night Actions? Should we just cripple the Town by telling everyone what each one does?? Come on people... I can! Fraulein Bloodbrick assigns meds to the people who don't choose them, so I would assume everyone would get one. I doubt she would make it so obvious as to setup a rule that could potentially reveal all five of her henchmen at once. The medicine-taking I would imagine would be they can choose not to use it. So, if we see someone take a medication that has an obvious result and they don't use it, then we know they're Scum. But how many meds have an obvious result? And who's to say that the person chose not to use it vs. being blocked.
