  1. I sense the dark side in you KimT... Hahaha, I like this discussion although it's got nothing to do with lego - although that can be discussed as well The clones in ep2 were fresh from the clone facilities were they didnt have the environment to develope into individuals. But since they are clones of humans they ultimately will. Yes, they were ment to be nothing more than canon fodder, serving one purpose only, but this changed during the war. Wookieepedia says: So that's a reason why I would like to see "different" faces.
  2. Than your birthday in your profile is wrong...
  3. Just noticed on S@H the price is about half at € 54,99! link Shop@Home
  4. What?! Only now I realize what KimT meant by "you're growing into being quite a well-skilled builder". That makes it even more incredible. I know I didnt built models like that when I was young (a long time ago... in a galaxy far far away). But than again the lego wasnt as advanced as it is today and there wasnt internet. Actually my internet connection at home dates back to 2001. But now I'm babbling and going way off topic, sorry about that. I guess too astonished. Anyways great work and will be expected more in the future!
  5. Very humerous, loved it! Almost too many funny scenes to mention, but these were not mentioned yet and are classic as well: - The scene where they discover stormtroopers and Tarkin hidden inside a part; - C-3PO becomes K-3PO and gets coloured back and even into gold by R2-D2
  6. Good question. Lego just folows the films/series, which it should. Wether it's the colour as specialized troops or to mark rank. Although I would prefer a system like the imperial officer/General Veers/Grand Moff Tarkin has on the chest or for that matter on the shoulders. Like is used in real life. It could be possible Lucas' companies didnt think the system through, or they made a mistake. Like they did in episode 6 with the uniform ranking on Grand moff Jerjerrod, or Admiral Piett. Or they simply overlooked as being unimportant. I think the clones should have different face markings, showing their individuality. This is what is seen in the CW series. Which hair?
  7. Nice pictures, great room, lots of Lego SW sets... What a lot of Hasbro; I see at least 5 LAAT's, 4 AT-TE's and numerous fighters? and I see still work going on the UCS Millennium Falcon. I like the picture on brickshelf the most where the Emperor is waiting for the train and it's left... he's gonna be real pissed Great collection if you ask me.
  8. I dont know if this belongs here or in the price ranting post, but I found some prices on the new sets from a dutch (mailorder) site where I ordered some sets in the past. It says release dates are expected in june 2009. 7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid € 22,00 7749 Echo Base € 22,00 8036 Separatists Shuttle € 32,00 8037 Anakin's Y-Wing Starfighter € 58,00 8038 The Battle of Endor € 91,00 8039 Republic Cruiser Venator € 117,50 For reference click here You dont have to understand dutch to find your way to the starwars section with sets and prices. For me it's a big relief the prices arent as high as I expected. Of course these just indicate the prices for the Netherlands and Belgium.
  9. Thanks. I think this one looks better compared to the first one, but that's almost always the case when you build a second version of something.... at least in the eyes of the designer. Yes, I could have torn the Droideka from the MTT apart... but couldn't. And it's nice to have them lined-up as comparisons. It's like you watch them evolve. The colour is most of the times a problem, I have seen it come up in a lot of MOCs that's because TLC doesnt have every piece available in every colour. Just take a look in S@H. Since all my SW models are still intact and displayed I have to make due with old lego and/or loose bricks I order from S@H. What do you mean by out of scale? I think compared to the TLC version it's more minifigure accurate.
  10. Very nice MOC, huge and highly detailed Well done with the boarding ramps. Anymore pictures of the changed interior?
  11. Well done! Incredible result
  12. Just look at the other post Venator MOC, made entirely out of 7675 by KinGanon. He's done one just from using one other set. Together with the information from the upcoming set and pictures from Wookieepedia, you should have plenty of reference. Now all you need is time and bricks. Good luck! Dont forget to post the result...
  13. When I was building the first version of the driodeka, I got some ideas that I had to put to use in a 2nd version. So that's why you will see some similarities between the two; the legs and arms are the same. But the main body is quiet different. Front Side Back Hope you'll like it.
  14. Very nice MOC indeed, state-of-the-art again Wether or not the car is supposed to carry 2 persons is in my opinion irrelevant, thats up to the designer. I like the model very much, it's accurate. And I dont really understand what is ment by "looks gap filled", could you explain jiffel?
  15. Nice to see so many already posting up Keep up the good work!
  16. Simple and effective! Just the way I like 'em... Maybe add some pieces to close the gap between floor and wing setup?
  17. An artillery piece/anti-vehicle gun allowed as landbased vehicle?
  18. Totally agree. The designers did a great job, and I'm glad it didnt stay with the rather brief appearances in the Clone Wars movie. In the CW series it's got a big role, appearing lots of times - so we can enjoy the similarities between the lego design and on-screen appearance. I just dont think it's too big scale-wise. I rather think it's too small, but I'm glad TLC didnt make it bigger. In the series it can easily fit Anakin's fighter.
  19. A MOC of a my MOC, I'm so happy right now... I like the way you changed the arms and legs, nice alternatives. In my design I only used pieces that are available on S@H (except for the head and lightsabers), just like you did in yours. For me this was a necessity since I ordered these parts especially for making these MOCs. And this makes it easy for others to buy and build it, and since you did it in LDD it's a push on a button away for them. Great job!
  20. Thanks for the replies! I tried this, but the head of the Grievous minifigure is attached in a different way. This makes it impossible to use it in this MOC because that would look real weird in the shown pose. Thanks! I tried to make this MOC more "playable" and without the half attached joints. Ha, just noticed the ears in your MOC for the first time... I feel ashamed Now you mentioned it, I agree. It's weird they chose to do it in white, it doesnt make sense. Not even production-wise. Exactly! And like I said I couldnt find an alternative for the head, which was excellent done in Hopeso009's version.
  21. Here's another one and the link to my inspiration source General Grievous by Hopeso009. There wasn't another way to replicate the head of Grievous, so this is the same. And it's just Lego, so no cape included. This version can stand up like the "real" Grievous and make an imposing statue, just like he did when confronting Obi-wan. front side back Hope you will like it.
  22. Yes, you did. You've got me interested! And I understand the passion, got the same when I'm working on a MOC/MOD. But am I wrong here, two of my Vulture droid's head can turn from set 7660 (Naboo Fighter) and most recent Ahsoka's starfighter 7751.
  23. Thanks everyone for all replies. mmm still working on one that's are already done by him. And tbh there arent that many "new" droids to do, he's already done them all... Thanks, coming from you that's a real compliment. Always looking forward to your opinion/reaction.
  24. Exciting... very nice idea This means I'm going to stop posting up new mocs until I know more... Although I havent got much lego to spare so creativity will be required. If it isnt within my league than I hope others will make something asthonishing. Anyways I will be watching this topic closely. Still about 42 hours to go...
  25. Very nice! I like the droid statue, that's fabulous!
