Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Future74 replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You're right. ...but I havent got an alternative, I had to compromise with the missus. Mine got sparkled and turned into a wildfire april last year... I've always had a thing for Star Wars, back in the 80s (when I was young) I played with Star Wars toys (A few shown in topic Lego vs 80s toys). When I grew elder it were the SW videogames. In 2001 I got the set 7104 Desert skiff as a gift but back than I didnt react on it. Last year it was different, again a set given by somebody and since than I've been trying to catch up... Tip: If you need room you can always make some shelves on those walls. -
10195 Republic Dropship & AT-OT Discussion
Future74 replied to Darth Legolas's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Voted yes. Reasons: 1. it's the biggest CW set we've seen so far; 2. the set consists/combines two new vehicles; 3. the two vehicles are very well designed and come with lots of minifigures; 4. it even combines with an already released set, the AT-TE It deserves the title "Greatest Clone Wars sets ever" Off topic: There is nothing done without approval of George Lucas, so I have to disagree with you. You're entitled to your opinion, but I again disagree; the clone wars movie and animation series aren't horrible, they're just different from the movies (episodes 1-3 and 4-6). Compared to the clone wars series (cartoons) shown a few years back it is more realistic and has improved a lot. Further discussion of this belongs in another forum I guess. -
Nice! You should also post up an overview of the display in topic Show Your Army & Home Display

Glad to hear there is one. Now it only needs fixing... Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11
-
Sorry, you're absolutly right. I missed out on the 3 seats that are facing the back (which are not logical placed imo) - so 16 seats should have been the number
-
Quick find everybody on S@H Wow the release date is only one month and a half away. Great news it also works with the AT-TE. Btw on one of the pictures I saw the carrier can hold at least 13 clones in the back.
-
Not in the film; they're just different squadrons.
-
Thanks for the Snail Tank picture. Vulnerable indeed, thats why it was only used as a cargo walker behind enemy lines. From Wookieepedia: That being said it's unlogical to combine this with the LAAT/c, as it doesnt need to be airlifted into battle. To be honest for me it doesnt matter if it suits its purpose, just that it's well designed/accurate
-
Yeah this one came as a big surprise! Definitly a must buy... and I thought 2008 was an expensive year with the Death Star coming out on top of all sets. I guess 2009 is going to top that... Havent seen the LAAT/c in the CW series yet. The AT-OT is seen in episode 3 when order 66 is issued. I think the AT-OT has this size so it can match the LAAT/c and otherwise the pricetag would go up even more. Did you confirm the date? Cant see anything new about the gun either. Well pointed out! Yes, they look similar. And I must say I like Rayman's version more. A well wouldnt need a second stickerset anyways, with this pricetag I'm definitly NOT getting two of them.

A question: I've got many favourites in my browser and the one that stands out because it hasnt got a nice icon is the link to eurobricks. Is it an idea to let this forum get it's own icon? If no one has an oppropriate one there could be a designer contest... Just a thought.
-
Are you kidding? Wish I was young and your (grand)parents Nope, for me it will be saving up and not tell the price of these babys when they come in... sneaky, I know. What?! In 2 weeks? Where did you come up with that date?
-
It definitly feels like it!
-
Thanks for posting all those pictures! Thanks for posting the preliminary prizes... It will be! Around $ 785, and the sets keep coming. Cant miss out on any of them I'm afraid. Most definitly picture 1, the second photo is yellow and that's why the picture on the box looks like that.

Here are some Pictures of minifigures OT-sets I posted in the index reply topic.
-
Hi KimT, uploaded some minifigures you were looking for. Hope they meet up to your standards. The missing CW minifigures: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=368522 And here is a good start for the OT-minifigures index: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=368524

Interesting... now dont let us wait for a few days!!!
-
Very nice MOC Simple yet accurate, thats the way I like 'em.

I think I'm love Look at that thing: 1758 pieces!!! Ouch that's got to hurt in the wallet. It's probable that the reason the cockpit, which looks awesome, can be twisted is because of deployement of the dropship. And it looks like the clones can unboard the AT-OT from the sides using a featured ladder of somesort. I wonder whats in the front departement of the dropship (behind the logo) Keep the pictures coming guys

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Future74 replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I claimed a closet to keep my collection in... Here is it closed, protecting the collection from dust and sunlight, and to not bother the wife Here are the doors opened (edited because it opens only one door at a time). I'm afraid it doesnt show the whole collection because I couldnt stand back far enough to take a full picture, the room isnt that big. I've still got a few shelves unoccupied -luckily- otherwise it will probably be stored boxes kinda like KimT, because I probably wont get any room to expand to Future74. -
I know these were just preliminaries, but I'm really disappointed about the MF... so now I'm going to go and cry myself to sleep

Star Wars 2009: Great mini figs, weak sets?
Future74 replied to TheBrickHitHouse's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great thread. Shame to see its going down the drain like this, but I think everybody should take a good look at themselves before judging others. Partially agree, I think the upcoming sets arent that average. Although TLC seems to be focusing on figures with sets instead of sets with figures, they havent messed things up. I'm loving the sets: they're well designed and an improvement to the older sets. TLC could always make new magnet sets of them... -
That must be a super weapon, got any pictures of that
-
"The force is strong in this one", very sharp indeed. And I agree, it wouldnt make sense to have another MF with the same figures as before. Even if the set before was UCS, and these figures (Han, Leia, Chewie) were also in the X-wing. I hope to see some "new" or rare figures in the next MF.

OMG That's incredible. I mean that takes up a lot of room! It looks like the whole thing, every set that came out in SW Lego. Can you confirm? Eager to see an update... I'm keeping track of what I spend on my collection and it's no way near half his and already about 3.200 Euro's. And that's not the market value.
