So collecting rare items is wrong....... I guess the past 10 years of my life was a waste. This guy gets what I'm saying. :P -Omi
-
Well there are plenty of people who do, and it is an insult when that situation happens to us. -Omi

Not entirely. The figs are promoting the Super Heroes theme, which are given out at cons to promote the theme. Plus if everyone can get them, there is no point in wanting to collect them for their worth and value. Suppose Lego made a super special edition figure that was chrome or whatever, and they made a limited quantity to be handed out or to be put in sets. And what if you spent so much time/money on trying to obtain it and suddenly one day you manage to get your hands on it. How would you feel when Lego decides the next day to scrap all that and just make tons and tons more and just hand them out by the gallons? -Omi
-
Ummmm Fight what? -Omi
-
I say no. The point in promotions is them being exclusive. Not everyone can get them, and Lego has been doing this for years on end. Just have to suck it up and deal with it. -Omi

CitizenBrick does commissions too. Every other customizor I know who has their hands on a printer keeps it to themselves. -Omi

Are minifig arms supposed to be removed?
Omicron replied to lotryay's topic in General LEGO Discussion
What you want to do when removing hips/legs is to pull straight and not at an angle, that way you don't push on either sides. -Omi -

Torsos can crack from hip removal as well, since removing and putting them on can cause more stress to the torso than arms do. -Omi -
Brickforge Pauldrons with Iron Man helmet?
Omicron replied to The-Hulk's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Still the helmet doesn't fit properly all the way down. Sometimes we all like to hear that click. -Omi -
Brickforge Pauldrons with Iron Man helmet?
Omicron replied to The-Hulk's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
The helmet will not fit properly with the neck armor. -Omi -

If you use the proper procedure of removing arms from torsos, you will have no troubles whatsoever and no cracking will happen. As a customizor, I remove and switch parts, new and old, many times a day over and over, and I've never had a cracked torso. Or arms for that matter. -Omi -
Well the ink Lego uses hasn't been at its finest these past years, probably due to the fact these figs are being made overseas. So I'm not surprised at all that the face is like that. -Omi
-
And how do you know the seller may have scraped the face? -Omi

I always found label paper to be good. Easy to print on, and can be seamless if printed right (look at Saber-Scorpion's stuff), plus it sticks great and it is easy to find and cheap to buy in quantities. -Omi

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Omicron replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ummm have you seen all the new molds we have been getting in the past few years, both licensed and general? A ton. Just look at the new dwarves in the Hobbit set. New molds all around. -Omi -
Nickalodeon owns the rights to the Speed Racer currently. Lego could have made sets based on the show if they wanted to because they already were in dealings with Nickalodeon. Duh, that's what I said. It was in response to your misconception of the Prince of Persia license. "If we talk about the game title, this theme didn't make other scenes and characters (eg, Kaileena) from the sequels of games. But the LEGO theme stress mainly on the adapted story of the Disney movie. We're not sure if LEGO should also make use of game materials, or only if Disney would love to shoot sequels." Lego wasn't using game material or even using it as a resource. All the sets are based on the movie -only-. The only way for more sets to be made is if they make a sequel to the movie. -Omi
-
All depends on how they make him I guess, but we don't know what Lego has in mind for LoTR next year. Who knows, could be all Hobbit sets and a few LoTR sets with other characters that haven't been made yet. -Omi
-
Not sure if this was posted, but I looked back a few pages and couldn't find anything. My good friend who works at manager level of Gamestop recieved info of upcoming preorder information, and one of them involved the Lego LoTR game and its preorder bonus. It is going to be a Gandalf the White figure. -Omi

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Omicron replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not neccessarily. It isn't based on "other" media. It's just a generic guard. We don't know what the DKR set could represent. We don't even know if it is the Tumbler or the Bat. Could be them in front of City Hall. Could be them at the Stock Exchange. The guard fig can work for both, and both locations featured Batman and Bane. Could be anything. -Omi -

He didn't, but who ever said Lego sets have to be in line with the movies? The Avenger sets were not with their figures and designs. -Omi -

I doubt they'd make her over Selina. -Omi -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I think what it really is, is that it is Comic Con. The next slew of Marvel movies of next year are Thor and Iron Man while this year it was Spider-Man, and that if Lego is not actually hinting at anything new, they are more or less going with the flow of things with the buzz going on at the con. -Omi -

Or maybe Spidey is in both sets because both sets are based on his show. -Omi -
Unless of course he wants custom tailored capes that Lego doesn't make. :P -Omi

The Shredder from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtls series. I kinda took some liberties with him and made him more futuristic and menacing. I modded the BrickWarriors helmet and armor (to fit with the cape) and painted them both. The torso and legs have custom decals as well. -Omi
