Yes, legoboy3998, the list of PaB bricks where indeed in LDD at that time since they were presented in the LDD DbM brick palette. And as I was told, yes, they got the list from the PaB team and it wasn't really hard to either get the list, or convert it into LDD format. The problem was the work of keeping everything synced and updated. Whenever PaB changed the brick content, this had to be reflected in LDD. So problematically it's a piece of cake, but business setup-wize, internal communication, sync-wise etc etc, it's a lot of work. Having said that, the LDD Team did listen to us fans, because in the latest LDD version, there is an undocumented feature to create your own custom palette. There is info about it in the "release posts" here at EB (can't remember exactly where). Anyway, Calabar and I'm working on a tutorial. More info soon. But the feature to have a live connection LDD towards PaB order system, will not happen.

If you temporarily put a 4274 in the holes of the 2444, you should be able to hang the side panels in place. Also, the spikes on the wheels are turned the wrong side up. Flip them over. 1) Good find. Please do however remove the minifig-head in your model, and put a 1x1 round brick on the ground instead - so that the part content is correct. 2) It seems it's an illegal design from TLG, since the scorpion will collide into some other bricks if using physical bricks. But still, I'd say it's a borderline case. In your LDD model though, please remove the 1x1 round plate you used (leaving the scorpions floating in the air). It's important that models are reproduced as accurately as possible, using no more, no less parts then is in the set (there are exceptions though, for example brick-built substitutions). If you don't want the scorpions floating in mid air, you can put them on the ground instead. PS: Did you read my PM about one of your earlier Ninjago posts missing (due to the EB database glitch)?

Yeah, I noticed that too now. It seems the chain links have small gaps between them that all add up. It's actually somewhat of "bug", since this won't allow you to use the chain as you could in a real model.

LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It's an optimization feature. By hiding surfaces that are not seen (i.e. hidden by other bricks), the rendering will be faster. This is mostly effective if you have built a large model with a lot of bricks and surfaces hidden from view. For small models it doesn't effect performance much. However (as you noticed), the optimization sometimes is not 100% tuned and then you get the result you see. So yes, this is a bug, albeit a cosmetic one -
And to add even further. In LDD Manager (oh no, not that tool again ), there is a feature to batch replace colors. So you can list as many colors as you want, and it will perform the change on one or multiple files in a batch. I guess it's mostly handy if you have by mistake have used a certain color in all your models (e.g. old grey), and you need to update to new grey in all of them. If you're just going to change a few colors in a single file, doing it in LDD is much faster.

It does if you fiddle around a bit That was good find, because it has been possible before (if I remember correctly). Very odd.

1) collision error, but from what I can tell it should actually fit, even though it's a tight fit. So LDD issue. 2) the dragons head will fit if you rotate the tow bow parts outwards (the ones with the cross-bow in them). 3) it will actually fit if you "drag" the torso down with the mouse. It's an odd case though I have to admit. 4) Known error, but good find anyway

It's an illegal design by the TLG desingers Or, well, it actually seems like a boarder line case, since the tooth is made in a flexible material, so it won't put stress on the bricks.

Good to hear BTW, I managed to close the hand by nudging the bricks a bit. If you want, you can use it and update your post. EDIT: Just spotted - the 2x2 plate on the inside of the wrists should actually be 11203 inversed tile 9448_samurai_mech_hand.lxf

[Software] LDD Manager
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Yeah, Google seems to be having some problems with Google Drive at the moment. If it doesn't clear up in a day or two, I'll post a backup copy somewhere else. -
LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I've never seen that technique before either. Anyway, bug it seems to be! -
Not sure I understand the question. But please note that there is no LEGO Universe mode or anything like that anymore. Install the latest version of LDD, and you will have access to the two modes that exist now - LDD Mode and Extended Mode. To color the bricks any color you want, you need to chose Extended Mode.

[Software] LDD Manager
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hi Sam As you noticed, LDD Manager only works with 32-bit version of Office. Actually, Microsoft themselves recommends 32-bit office and not 64-bit, so it's not a bad choice to do what you are trying to do. Now, about your problem. First, follow this guide to downgrade to 32-bit. If you still have a problem after this, can you please post here the more exact errors (the part where it tells you 64-bit has not been uninstalled). -
About finding bricks from the You can use the 6-7 digit ElementID in the instruction booklet also. Just paste it into the search window in BL and it will give you info. Excellento

The reason I was told is that it's a "lose connection", i.e. it does not have a defined snap position. So the technique is legal by TLG standards, just not yet solved in LDD.

LDD 5, what features do YOU want?
Superkalle replied to BasOne's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
You know can create custom palettes now, right? Because then you can create a palette with only the parts you want. Sure, the parts will still be in the LDD default categories, but at least there will be a lot fewer of them. -
look for object template in LDD
Superkalle replied to darphboubou's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I can see you've asked many similar questions before about LDD and finding parts etc. First, I propose you don't start a new topic for each question. Instead, keep all questions in one topic. Now, for finding specific parts, I recommend to use BrickLink to navigate for parts (www.bricklink.com) and find PartID's. Then type the part number in the LDD Seach function. About "technic template", I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean complete models? Or brick palette templates? -
LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Superkalle replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I'm not sure I follow. Which mode are you in (LDD, Extended). Also, can you post a screenshot where the button should be?
