  1. That would be this brick which only appeared in the 1349 Steven Spielberg Moviemaker Set for some prop buildings.
  2. Again, so many great entries making decisions difficult. I give one point to each of the following: 10) Robot, Spartan & Space Alien Entry (Build by Dreamweb) 28) Clown, Ringmaster & Gorilla Suit Guy Entry (Build by captainsamus) 29) Spaceman, Weightlifter & Space Villain Entry (Build by Dannylonglegs) Good luck to all!
  3. So many great entries it was hard for me to choose! I give one point to each of the following: 7) Pilot Entry (Build by Dan Church) 14) Hula Dancer Entry (Build by Cutlass Iz) 36) Elf Entry (Build by Oky Wan Kenobi) Good luck to all!
  4. Sometimes it's hard for sharks to travel by themselves in water. That's where this shark container comes in handy! Now they can ride the rails/roads and look at all the tasty mini-figs passing by. Unfortunately some yard workers can't figure out that the sharks don't like to be petted and will instead pick you clean to the bone. I hope he had good insurance!
  5. So I was browsing Eurobricks today and I noticed I had something VERY unusual happen. Take a look to the left and see who I am. Now take a look at this image of my screen a few minutes ago. Now call me crazy, but I am pretty sure that is not me. I am on my own personal desktop system so there is no way anyone else could have logged in. I have Eurobricks set to automatically log me in and FireFox (version 4.0b12) to save my password. When I viewed the forum this morning I was signed in as myself. However, just a few minutes ago I realized I wasn't me. I find this to be a very unusual glitch so I figured this should be brought to the attention of the staff to look further into this. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thank you for your time.
  6. Here is a 4 stud wide For(d) truck with four wheel drive and built using four colors (oh look, 4 qualities). *Sorry for the blurry pic, the preview on the camera looked much better.
  7. That seems to have fixed it. Thanks.
  8. I've been re-building some of my Ldraw models from scratch in LDD since it gives me a chance to see any connection problems I may have overlooked the first time. When I try to export the LDD file into Ldraw so I can add missing parts not available, I get a message saying "Warning: Unable to export model to *file location*". In addition, whenever I try to import an ldraw file into LDD it doesn't import anything at all. Would anyone have any idea as to why these aren't working? I am using LDD 4.0.20 with Windows 7. Thanks.
  9. If you are referring to the original Hogwarts Express (set 4708) you can find some original sticker sheets for sale here on BrickLink. If you are referring to the later one (set 4758) you can get them here. Likewise if you would rather print out your own, simply clicking on the image will bring up a higher-resolution image which you can save and print out.
  10. Cecilie (Santa's Post office) - 1 Cutlass Iz (Sweet Shop) - 1 Etzel (Soup Café) - 1 kost u grlu (Train Station) - 1 brickzone (Holiday Inn) - 1 Great job everyone, it was tough to make decisions. Good luck to all!
  11. Man these are just to awesome! The design, the colors, everything!. Imaust and Fythold are my favorites.
  12. Here's a thought: You're going through your LEGO collection and you come across a piece that was from one of your old childhood sets that you luckily kept. For a bit of nostalgia, you decide to re-build the set. You head on over to Peeron/BrickLink for the part inventory and start scavenging your collection for the parts. As your digging through your collection, you start finding pieces that clearly were from the original set. It's obvious this was a childhood piece; it still has all your teeth marks from prying it off that one stubborn brick and all the scratches from when you drove the car it was built in down the stairs. You look around and you find the exact same piece that came from a new set you bought the other day; all nice and shiny and ready to be a part of something great. Now you have the dilemma on your hands of whether you should keep the set in its original form or restore it to look like new. What would/do/did you do in this situation?
  13. 4404 - Land Busters (Main model) - Creator BrickSet entry *Note this image was taken before I fixed the headlight screen colors. XLF File (Built with LDD 4) Part substitutions The two gray brick 2X2 with top pin and 1X2 side plates were re-created each with a 2X4 plate, 2X2 plate, and a 2X2 tile with top pin. The black 4X6 brick at the front of the cab was replaced with two black 2X6 bricks. The gray Technic axle length 5 used to hold red propeller shortened to a length 3 axle since Digital Designer will not allow the 5 to fit. Parts not present The 8 Technic steering knuckle arm in gray. The 4 Tire 68.8 x 36 H used for the main wheels. The 4 Tire 43.2 x 22 H with gray Wheel 30.4mm D. x 20mm with 3 Pinholes (Technic Racing) used for the cargo. Update 12/14: Fixed two problems.
  14. While I don't actually own the set, it does look like it can be motorized without having to make any major modifications. On the locomotive, just replace that "block" that is holding the main driving wheels (the thing you start building on page 29 of the instructions) with this Power Functions Train Motor. Then to power it, wire it into a battery box. Your battery box choices are the rechargeable box which can easily be hidden away in the box car (and don't forget to buy a charger). If that rechargeable battery box + charger is to expensive, you could look into just getting the double-A battery box and make a few modifications to make it fit in the car or go to Brick Link and get this battery box which has the compact size of the rechargeable battery box, but uses standard double-A batteries (this would probably be your best bet).
  15. I give 1 point to each of the following: 3) Spaceman & Pharaoh Entry (Build by Optimus) 8) Robot & Jungle Explorer Entry (Build by lisqr) 12) Diver & Surfer Entry (Build by squiz)
  16. I give one vote to each of the following: 11) Jungle Explorer Entry (Build by Diidy) 22) Vampire Entry (Build by lisqr) 29) Witch Entry (Build by Almirante Don Rodrigo) Good luck to all!
  17. Minifig: Traffic Cop Theme: Town The Traffic Cop was out on his daily patrol on the hunt for speeders. However, he got radioed to an accident containing a motor vehicle running onto the sidewalk and hitting a fire hydrant. To his surprise it wasn't a fast sports car, nor a large SUV: instead it was a lawnmower. Turns out the driver was "Mean Green", winner of the Brickyard 600 race held the previous weekend. Seems he had one to many drinks and he thought he racing on the track. He lost control of his "race car" and swerved into a fire hydrant. Water lines have been shut for an hour to avoid flooding the street. Mean Green was arrested by Traffic Cop for DUI and destruction of city property. Traffic Cop would be on the sidewalk, handcuffs at the ready, to arrest Mr. Green. Two more images can be seen here. (When moderated)
  18. Ha, this is pretty fun contest. Unlike some of you , I'm having trouble finding the first one so I'm still at 3/4. What's funny is how many of you had the most problems with the second one even though that was the easiest one for me .
  19. To add on to what DLuders mentioned about the Lego Digital Designer and Other Digital Tools board, there is this topic which is full of actual Lego sets made in Lego Digital Designer. LDD allows you to export the models into the LDRAW format.
  20. Congratulations to those of you who won! This was a fun little contest with a bunch of great (and funny) entries.
  21. The cheapest setup to convert a 9V train to Power Functions would be to get one of these (which will go in place of the 9V motor) and power it with one of these battery boxes (which you will have to mod somewhere inside the train). If you want to spend more money you could get the rechargable battery box so you don't go through double-A batteries (and the box itself is more compact). However, you are going to also have to purchase the AC Adapter to charge it. Just note that having just a battery and motor will mean you have to manually stop the train with your hands to stop the power and the train will take off as soon as you flip the power switch on. If you want to add IR so you can remotely control it (and adjust the speed) you will need an IR Receiver(which again will have to be modded into the train) and a remote to control it. Your choice of remote can be this standard IR remote which makes the train go forward, backward, and allow you to stop it or you can go with the train IR remote which will also give you the ability to control the speed (I would go with this for the extra few bucks over the other one).
  22. Problem seems to be the wheels don't have enough friction with the track. Your best bet is to read this article to give your wheels more friction with the track. For the Emerald Night, make sure you followed the directions for the driving rods (the things connecting the large wheels) exactly, people seemed to have made them line up on both sides (instead of quartering them) which greatly effects the performance of the engine. As for the extra stickers you received, those are for if you built extra cars to go with it (since it only comes with one), you would have the appropriate stickers to match the first one.
  23. Bag of pear seeds - $1 Used truck - $1000 Chain - $30 First prize in the Grow a Large Fruit Contest - $500 The expression on your insurance agent's face when you explain how your truck was torn to pieces..... Priceless. There are some things money can't buy. For everything else there's MasterCard.
  24. This is exact thing I use as well, but for smaller instructions I can fit multiple per sleeve. The only problem is very large instructions may stick out/have to be folded/stored somewhere else. And obviously thicker instruction books will fit tight in the protector pages.
  25. If Peeron acts slow for you (which it often does for many others), BrickLink also offers set inventories (in addition to the fact they are a major source for purchasing individual Lego parts).
