  1. Wow, thanks everyone for your support on this one! I thought the challenge was the imitation, I didn't realise there was also a war part  Good eye Jacob! I think I planned 22x23, I can't remember if I built 22x22 or 22x23 but I always work backwards from the size limit. The Queenscross build was a pain to get right because the arch used so much of the budget. This could be a bit of an issue, as you have 80% of the HC votes. I think we should appeal to a higher power for a decision :look: . Do we keep as is, or DQ and re-vote? Luckily most of the DK entries had plenty of studs to spare!
  2. from the challenge C rules: The challenge is, the build must be similar (think mirror building, but you can reinterpret the build) to the guerrilla attack. (IE: if the guerrilla builder made a farm, and set it ablaze, the counter attack should show the same farmstead [doesn’t have to be exact, but an interpretation of the farm] in transition back to working. Rebuild it, garrison it, etc…) Counter actors should make it known that they plan on countering a guerrilla in their territory so that there are only a few people working on a counter (that way your team can counter multiple threats). Counter builds cannot be larger than the Guerrilla build they are countering. This is not that similar, and it's 4x larger than the original.... Dr Cogg was not able to change his to a GA so I'm not sure how this should be treated.
  3. Some of the sets targeted at AFOLS are really boring (tumbler, helicarrier, town hall, pet shop, ferris wheel) I was a big fan of legend beasts and the Chima CCBS figures. I preferred Chima CCBS to the new Bionicle. Oh and all those conflict sets....can't we just go back to having one good set in a box like classic space? And definitely with alternative builds on the back!
  4. We have a winner! Your go
  5. If this is a decisive and overwhelming victory, can we choose F8? If not, we would choose F7 and D7.
  6. Had to be Dr Cogg for this one but I want to give an honorable mention to BMS, this build shows a fantastic improvement in technique in a very short time.
  7. perfect counter! I love the troop leader.
  8. Nice build and a great story Andrew. It will probably be disqualifed as a counter though as it's too big, as happened to Dr Cogg. The counter should be 8x8 or smaller
  9. Could you please include BrickManStudios entry in the voting?
  10. Canonically, nothing. This is a new thing. Best to go with Ska's backstory for WZ14. This looks to me like it's about building oriental style.
  11. No and no again.
  12. No, but you're on the right track and even closer
  13. No, but you're right to think it's not a conventional western
  14. Apologies, travelling and I forgot. Here's one. Easy movie, difficult frame
  15. Thanks LJ! Thanks Kai, that was where I had the most rebuilds so I'm glad it paid off! Thanks Graham! Thankyou Captain, perfect water for hiding a croc in! Glacial water can be this colour too. Thanks Garmadon, glad you like it. I think it was some sort of recruiting officer at I14.... Thanks Dr Cogg! Yup! I finally dug out my one and only S3 samurai helmet, I wish I hadn't traded my other one away now. Good thing my son has that friends moped with the gold handle. "The leak" refers to the leak he's taking against the tree, although there is now considerably more fluid leaking from his jugular. I guess that fancy armour has its limitations
  16. Just to note that I moved my build to J15 because Hammerhand already took J13
  17. I missed this build in all the excitement of the war, it's superb. A brilliant production line full of perfect details, and a lovely backdrop too. UoP +1 all claims.
  18. Beautiful colours here and great use of the plant pots. I think you are allowed 32x32 for this challenge, if you want to expand it
  19. Very nice build and set up, Bregir. Great entry.
  20. This is a really beautiful and harmonious build that fits the locale perfectly
  21. Thanks Dan. It's good to mix it up a bit! Thanks Garmadon. It's an 8x8. I have now edited the text to make to clear they are not cookies. And they are explicitly not poisonous Thanks LittleJohn! It's a paella pan, at that scale it's about right
  22. Thanks Dardanel! Usually I have terrible problems finding the balance between too many reflections, and too many shadows. For once it worked in my favour. Thanks very much Bregir! I thought a giant meandering loop like this would be a bit swampy. That is a fantastic interpretation of the Crocs, I never even thought of it but it is now the official version Thanks Dan! Yes, I anticipated much bandage in water related "hilarity" from the Ulandian invaders so your crocs seemed a better choice for this zone Thanks Captain Dee! to be honest I felt this was rather unsatisfactory in the first draft, so I kept changing all the components until I thought it worked. The water technique is quite new for me, I quite like it but I think I should have put a light contrast colour under the trans clear plates.
  23. The colours and presentation are terrific but it's the minifig posting that steals the show here. Excellent entry.
