  1. I can see the picture! It seems familiar somehow. (...well, at least in previous winters.) Even so, isn't fresh chilled (not too cold of course... ) air great sometimes when riding? Am I losing it? Perhaps it's the lack of winter-y weather here...
  2. Thanks for your very good words ZeeK! I'm really happy and honoured hearing that community members have checked this review for additional infos and enjoyed it. Be sure to enjoy the set too. Thanks again Mr. Ambassador!
  3. Spring rides! Probably the greatest thing man came up with after the wheel and LEGO.
  4. The weather here is just perfect for riding. 22 ºC ( 71.6 ºF ) during the day, 15 ºC (59 ºF) during night. These are my favorite weather conditions when it comes to riding, especially during the evening-night. Snow? What's that?
  5. Very nice work Alywin! I really like the overall design of the building and the use of that baseplate suits perfect. Extra points for making it open on the back. Thye interior looks also great. Is that a La-Z-Boy chair I see? Nice! Good job!
  6. That was exactly my reaction! I had some problems with the spark plug in my motorcycle during that time and since it was sub-functioning it was producing a similar noise. Il Mostro is a whole different story, for sure.
  7. Excellent article TheBrickster, great thoughts and references. After exiting dark ages I was also very sceptical on this issue and it was something that kept bugging me every time I was purchasing new sets. I have a plethora of 4x5 doors in all versions (glass, four-six pains, variety of colours etc) and I just love them. Perhaps the nostalgia factor plays a significant role in here, as well as what the eye is used to when it comes to LEGO doors. One of the most positive aspects that you also correctly state is that old doors could work on their own, without having the need of a support piece. Then again, everything back then was mostly based on studs, something that today is not a standard practice. I cannot mention realism as a deciding factor for me since I don't MOC in a "proffesional" way and extreme accuracy and realism is something that's not my target when it comes to LEGO. Couldn't agree more. The first time I saw the 6754 Family Home it looked odd having that door. It somehow made the entrance look "stretched". Btw Rick, check your second BL link. Thanks again for this TheBrickster. P.S Don't forget this door, just for nostalgia sake. This was my first LEGO door!
  8. Wow, excellent review def! The first bit from the first picture is truely amazing! A real piece of art! Seeing more and more Ninja sets and Ninja related elements in EB lately, I think that it makes me be more and more interested in this theme.

    MOC: Landmarks

Excellent work Matija! The Brandenburg Gate looks great and pretty accurate for a mini model. I'm really impressed when it comes to the quadriga's colour. It looks just like the real statues.
  10. Great work banditloon, have some magnificient rides in the summer. One of my best friends bought a 900cc Monster back in '99 and when I first heard the noise I was like . I really thought that it was mulfunctioning/sub-functioning since the sound the motor was producing was very strange to me at that time. "Raw Power" is the phrase I have in mind every time I see one. Girlfriends always love rides that's why we love them!
  11. Excellent idea lightningtiger! we sure have many now to choose from.
  12. So true... I just hope that the price on this gem won't be too high. I too agree that €170 seems good for Greece's standards. Do we know if "Hutman" ( ) has already brought it or when it will come? Hello Mr. Inspector. I can still remember almost all titles at the time I joined EB because I didn't know what those really were and I was confused.
  13. Hi Stash! I would be honored if my sigfig could attend Brickworld. Ignore the shark of course.
  14. All of them together at once. I was a happy kid back in the '80s.
  15. I'm building the Cafe Corner for the last 4 hours and I'm taking a small break. Man, I feel like I'm drunk. Anyway, I've noticed that all 1x1 white tiles are not exactly white, at least not as white as the other tiles in this set. They have a more "creamy" look, or better, they are just like white pieces with a very early yellowing stage. I too noticed the brown inconsistency issue that has already been brought up but I cannot remember if there was any reference on tiles. Has anyboby else noticed something similar? EDIT: Typos. No wonder after 4 hours.
  16. Welcome to EB Paul. You won't regret joining, especially after browsing the SW forums. Lots of stuff to enjoy! Have fun!
  17. Looking very nice lightningtiger! I really like the fact that it can be placed both in a city and a classic town layout. The size is very succesful. P.S Lots of MOCs! Man, are you on fire or what? Keep it just like that!
  18. Great work de-marco! The use of slopes is excellent and produces a very realistic result. Even the bottom side picture gives the impression af an actual hovercraft. The colour scheme looks very nice too! Keep it up!
  19. Only if there are no delays concerning arrivals. To be honest, I also like the 6990 since it was a set that was released during my childhood and I was really impressed when I had first seen it.
  20. Too lazy I can say. I too had some folders under moderation for some days in the past but 11 days seemed a bit too much. I think I'm gonna try that, to see if The Beast will wake up.
  21. Just a small question here. I've uploaded two pictures in an already existing file on February 14th and the file is not yet public. Isn't that a little strange?
  22. Looks very nice! I didn't know that there was a doctor's torso with a pen pocket in the past. Thanks for the pictures everybody!
  23. Public! I waited for this like a madman! This is it! The most desired LEGO town set since my childhood (even now) and one of the greatest classic town sets in my opinion! The boat/ships/harbor subtheme is my favorite and this set is a gem. It literally has everything. Two ships, a large dock, (the dock pieces in here are the best IMO when it comes to creating a harbor), two vehicles, 5 containers, a greatly designed movable crane and 7 minifigs. What else.... The brick built ship is excellent and the colour scheme really does the job. I own the 6541 Intercoastal Seaport and I would love to have this set too in my collection. I must get it! Excellent review paanjang16! Amazing photos, the video was also great and I really liked the "Record Facts". A great thanks! P.S Gongrats on the Silver!
  24. Welcome to EB Jeremy. Enjoy the forums and have fun! Do you have any favorite themes?
  25. It's the first time in here that a member's post is EXACTLY, word by word my thoughts when it comes to LEGO. Nothing more to add. Again, same as above. The airport remark Joebot brings here is a great example. In the old days, an airport building WAS in fact a building. Now, it's just a glass panel structure because of the planes' scale. Imagine how many bricks TLG should use in order to release a brick built airport, not to mention the size of it. My turn to say "Amen Brother!" P.S#1 I hope I wasn't off-topic mentioning the airport example but I really think that everything stems from the embiggening of vehicles. Everything must be bigger because of the vehicles' scale. P.S#2 Still, I will keep buying 6-wide vehicles sets since they are the only available. (Bricklink is not my friend.)
