  1. Thanks for the nice review posades! Great impulse if you ask me, given the fact that we get two animals along with the minifig. Who am I kidding? Pork is the word! I totally agree with Walrus Keeper. It's fantastic that TLG offers a pig as a part of an impulse taking into consideration that it's a fresh new piece. It's one of the best animals TLG has ever created, with very nice details. One more great thing is that this impulse looks colourful to the max, something that is (or at least was -- Farm subtheme has brought this back on surface ) a town trademark. Thanks again!
  2. Happy birhtday to all of you guys! Celebrate and enjoy your day!
  3. At least I tried to. It's "Ghostbusters" all over again...
  4. Ok, here goes: 2 points to Fugazi's Persian Grocer. 1 point to MrTools' Modular Market Square. Beautiful work guys and congratulations to all the participants for their great entries too!
  5. Just beautiful! Amazing work Svelte! I've searched for a coloured picture of the entrance in Aleppo and I must say that your creation looks more oriental than the real life building. The decoration details you've used look absolutely great -- one of the key factors regarding my previous statement -- and the whole structure gives this "majestic" vibe. Excellent choice of colours you've made here too. You can produce wonders with these new colours Svelte! Well done! P.S Just throwing a suggestion here for a new MOC. بوابة عشتار

Judging from the larger picture link that whung provided (thanks for that whung! ), those are stickers unfortunately. Not that I was expecting something else...
  7. Happy birthday Big Cam! Always be happy and always have some great rides in your life! Enjoy your day!
  8. 6 more Collectible Minifigs, (still randomly picked -- I guess I don't have what it takes to consult the barcode picture I have in my cellphone... ) 4 of them being unique. Total: 11 minifigs, 9 unique. Not bad at all.
  9. The "Fun" factor worked just great for me. They've arrived in Greece and while I was randomly picking my first five I was excited (like a kid ). At least it works just fine when it comes to the very first minifigs you buy (especially when you don't buy TOO many at once) because chances are that you'll probably end up with different ones.
  10. Just bought my first PoP set, 7569 Desert Attack and five Collectible minifigs. They're cool!
  11. Just got my first five randomly picked minifig bags. 2.5 euros here in Greece. Man, it felt just like the old days, just like when I was a kid collecting M.U.S.C.L.E figures. My results: Native American, Caveman, Cheerleader, Ninja, Magician. Eleven to go.
  12. All minifigs look excellent! Really, they look more beautiful than those from the first series in my opinion and I'm having a hard time to choose which one is my favorite. The Greek hoplite has a special place in my heart though! A Greek minifig!! Ouzo for everyone! The Mexican looks great too and the colours look fantastic! I even like the California Highway Patrol policeman (looks like one at least). Great new sunglasses head, much better from the previous one. Great job TLG! I mean it! P.S #1 I can already see an Academy Awards based MOC in the near future. P.S #2 Pam was really hot back in the early nineties. (Off topic, I know....Blame TLG for the reminder. )
  13. You're back, and a great comeback I must say BlueBard! It looks very beautiful! Many excellent details for once more (you sure know how to play this sport ) and very nice choice of colours. The interior shots look full of life and I also noticed an air-condition exterior unit. It looks and fits just great! Keep'em coming BB! P.S The creepy headed guy is still at large? All these LEGO police sets and still nothing...
  14. Great work! The front part really captures the eye and the windows look very beautiful -- it is the highlight of the building. I also like the colours you've used because they match perfectly together. The initial purpose of doing this is very creative! Kudos drdavewatford!
  15. Eye candy pictures Rapseflaps! It's so nice seeing all the city-town sets together, forming a beautiful layout. The interesting thing is that every layout looks different even when containing the exact same sets and that's the great thing about LEGO. Even when you have official sets built, imagination and creativity still continue to play a big role when it comes to arranging them in a layout. And since I'm more of a set guy rather than a MOCer, I just love these kind of pictures! This is one of my goals too in the future btw. To try to have ALL of my city-town sets built and bring them together for my layout even for two or three days, something that I have never done it till now (lack of space and time... ). I had some partial layouts in the past but still not the ultimate. Anyway, thanks again for the very beautiful pictures!

    Great find Freddie! Thanks!
  17. Truely amazing review Clonie! You 've really highlighted the glory of this set! This is such a beautiful set! Although that it was released during my dark ages (I didn't even know that a Ninja theme actually existed ), I was lucky enough to find it in a toy store last year, in MISB crisp condition. The minifigs look excellent (9 of them! -- those were the days...) and the whole structure is huge with lots of interesting and useful pieces. Probably the crown jewel of the theme. Thanks again for this spectacular review! P.S I'm sure that somebody in here is going to enjoy this set's review more than anyone.
  18. Although that the whole concept is interesting there is something that makes me to be sceptical about this set. A "complete" station would have been better I think, taking into consideration that a new batch of trains is on the way. I also don't like the use of the dark grey plates as the primary surface of the platform. It makes the station look too dark. Light grey plates would have been better in my opinion. (Perhaps it's because of my strong dislike for this colour.) Anyway, I give it a 3.5. Fair and square.

Is that a new head the tram driver has? It looks like sideburns to me.

THAT'S the LEGO City-Town philosophy I love! A great thanks for the link BorgShadow! I'll get into detailed comments later.
  21. Very nice layout zeki! All buildings blend well together and I like that there are enough green baseplates to break the greyness. Keep it up! I think you mean the police station.
  22. Welcome to Eurobricks Karen! Impressive picture of yourself you've posted here! Great balls of fire on! As for the age issue you've mentioned, no need to worry as long as you don't collect DUPLO. Try to get used to the term AFOL (Adult Fan Of LEGO). Enjoy your stay and have lots of fun! You're gonna love this place! P.S That's a very interesting avatar you've got there. Any chance of a larger picture?
  23. A great thanks and a great praise for doing that Stash! This is definitely 100% me in flickr! Finally, a trip to USA came true!
  24. You're an excellent "Convertor" alanboar! I really love all the details you've put in there and the McDonalds logo is truely genius!
  25. Thanks for the great review and congratulations on the 300th review! If my memory serves me correctly, Izzy's city minifigs set review was the 200th. Time passes quickly... Although that it's HUGE, it's a very nice vehicle. Like WhiteFang said, the truck's front is very nicely built and is different from the usual truck structures we had so far. Thanks again!
