  1. I love it! Brilliant work cimddwc! The idea of having the building on a base that forms a sidewalk with stairs really adds to the overall look of your creation and I particularly like the way you've placed the Pet Shop next to your creation. The fact that they are not placed on the same level makes the scenery much more interesting (assymetry works great here), beautiful and pretty close to real neighborhoods found around the globe. You've also added some great details both in the interior and the exterior. The backside of the building looks very nice and all the rooms are fantastic (loved the pole dancer and the guy with the binocular and also the black and white photo for the investigator - genius idea! ) I can't wait wait to see what comes next. Great work for once more and thanks for sharing!

Same here Pandy! My all-time favorite band too (although that "POP" was my last favorite album from them...). Really nice first attempt Yatkuu and very good result. I think that you've managed to capture the overall stage appearance in a successful way with all the details you've added. The arch is nicely built and although that the lemon is not too round it's instantly recognisable. I think that Pandora refers to the "planted thing". That indeed represented an olive back then (a martini reference - the "theme" of POPMART Tour was based on consumerism/"good" life). Woohoo! Can't wait! P.S For "Mofo"
  3. First of all, welcome to Eurobricks Timothy (and what an entrance that was!). You can always introduce yourself here if you want and tell us a little bit about yourself. About the MOC now, this is more than impressive, well done! Your creation looks fantastic and very close to the real building. You've used the majority of the pieces in a brilliant way (the curved pieces and the trans-blue bricks are a perfect choice and produce a great final result) and the details both on the building itself and the surroundings area are just excellent. I can see that there are some interior details too. Do you happen to have any photos to share too? Overall a shiny, luxurious MOC! Thanks for sharing your creation with us! (Btw, could you resize and post smaller pictures, no bigger than 800x600? It's the maximum picture size allowed in EB and it will make your topic look even better. Thanks! )
  4. Going away for holidays and you still haven't booked a hotel? No need to worry, EB member Timothy has found the perfect solution for you, the famous Burj Al Arab! Grab your sunscreen and visit this topic for more photos of this fantastic MOC.
  5. Since you've already posted the same topic in the Special Themes forum (that was the right place from the beginning btw ) I'll move this one and merge them. Always feel free to ask a staff member when you're in doubt, we're here to help.
  6. Thanks for the link Quarry! The majority of the figs look fantastic - so much detail on them. I too noticed the double sided head and the gloves and I think that it's a cool idea. The Dwarf has a great looking torso and shield and I can't wait to get my hands on Paul Bunyan's axe.
  7. Topic moved in Culture & Multimedia Forum.
  8. Nice find The Yellow Brick, that was enjoyable to watch. (in MUTE though )
  9. You're off to a good start iDave. Nice integration of classic town and City sets and I love the use of the classic roadplates, these are my favorites! The 7746 Single-Drum Roller could really come in handy here.
  10. I've moved the topic in the Train Tech Forum since it has to do with trains. Why not deeplink some of the photos Reywas?
  11. This is excellent, I love it! One of the things I had in mind too was to convert the Maersk ship into a minifig/city scale one and I must say that yours looks fantastic. It's great that it can carry a good number of Maersk containers (and even more if you load the 2007 Harbour containers). The bridge looks brilliant with all these details and most importantly with all that space (no more One Man Show in the bridge ). Thanks for the photos and for sharing your creation with us hhcBrick!
  12. Wow, great choice Sieggy and a good step if you ask me. Have fun riding it! Not bad...not bad at all. (There was an "unofficial" one floating in here if I remember correctly).
  13. Really nice work mifody. The red house has many beautiful details like the excellent use of the mudguard piece above the entrance and the addition of the chandelier and lamps in the interior. The rest of the interior details look nice too and it's great that you've managed to fit so many of them in a limited space without making it look too "heavy". The church is brilliant! I love the colours that you used and the wall pieces make the overall design very interesting. The vitro crosses are fantastic (the photo with the doors half-opened produces a great result) and so does the yard with the small garden and the fencing. That street scene with the elements from the Medieval Market Village is my favorite btw. Keep up the great work!
  14. I see that this is your first post so despite the fact that you're a member for some time now I'll just say welcome to the posting side of EB. The roof's structure looks pretty interesting deen. The rest of the building looks a bit blocky though, but since you had a small number of pieces to work with when it comes to variety that's understandable. Btw, the photos you've posted are larger than those permitted in EB (800x600 is the limit according to the Member Guidelines). Could you please resize those and post smaller ones? If you don't know how to do so, there's an index of helpful tutorials found in my signature that includes a topic about image resizing.
  15. This is huge and impressive! Excellent work for once more Teazza, I love looking at special cargo vehicles in LEGO form and yours is excellent. The truck looks very nice but the highlight is indeed the trailer. Although that it may looks (or sounds) simple as an idea, you've managed to put these fine details (such as the hydraulics mechanism and the turntable/rotation feature) that produces a really eye-catching final result. The official 7747 Wind Turbine Transport has a serious competitor from now on. Thanks for the reference pic dr_spock, nice find.
  16. Thanks for the beautiful photos Chris! It seems that you're having a great time.
  17. Nice little scene The Soup Nazi. I like the small details you've put in there (the brick built door looks really cool) and the time machine is pretty close to the real thing (wait...what? ). Excellent choice of minifig heads, it delivers the scene's atmosphere and tension. Indeed. I too was a hoplite during my military service (it's still an existing rank in the Greek Army - I wasn't using a spear though )
  18. Your layout is forming very nicely TYB, nice mixture of official sets and MOCs. I too agree that the addition of more minifigs and vehicles will make your city look more busy and more "alive" and the only thing I would consider changing is the square with the small fountain park. Although that it looks great where it is, that particular square looks a bit empty. Why not add some more trees or even shorten the fountain and place a small shop or a small snack bar next to the fountain? Happy birthday btw and keep the expansion going!

    My LEGO City

Really beautiful and big layout you've got there jth781. As the others have already said, the combination of classic town and City sets is fantastic and very successful and your layout is a perfect example on how to do that. The details you've put are also nice and you've managed to make your city look busy and full of life. That building between the Fire Brigade and the Green Grocer looks pretty impressive btw. Great work and thanks for the photos.
  20. Very nice creation toorayay. I like the overall exterior design, it gives me the impression of an old fire station building still being used today. You've put some fine details such as the grey "brick stripes" on the walls and around the gates that break the "redness" and add to this "architecturally old" feeling. The interior is fantastic! I agree with Kiel that the recreation room is beautifully created and it's great that you've managed to give a different character to every room. Excellent use of floor tiles, that really made the difference. Thanks for sharing!
  21. Please Fuzzylegobricks, refrain from posting comments like that in the future. It's not an old topic and even if it was, it's only up to the Staff to decide whether to correct members or not when it comes to posting behaviour. Thanks.
  22. Classic town! One more brilliant review of yours, thanks Pandora! Your photos are really beautiful for one more time (the diagonal perspective looks great) and I sure enjoyed reading your detailed comments and remarks. This is a set that brings back warm memories. It was one of the sets I wanted to get during my childhood but never got the change - at least a cousin of mine had it in his possession and I had a fun time building it and playing with it. It's colourful, it has some very nice small details and although that the overall exterior design looks simple it still looks charming and it instantly gives the impression of a small weekend "hideout", especially if we take into consideration the year released. Btw, I was really surprised when I exited my dark ages and read that it only had 187 pieces while I was searching for classic town sets in Bricklink. I could've sworn that it consisted of more pieces, that number just seemed too small. (This is what happens when you grow up I guess. )
  23. Interesting creations AFOLEGODT, the 6661 is instantly recognisable and it's a nice "City" version of the classic town set. Next time though, please use the edit button when you want to post additional things/photos during a short period of time instead of double (or triple in that case) posting. Thanks.
  24. This is really a beautiful creation lgorlando. You've managed to create the atmosphere of a modern metropolis and I love the fact that it's assymetrical - different buildings (from different eras perhaps) being placed together create a majestic and an extremely close to reality result. Great work!
  25. Topics merged. The waiting game has just begun.
