A young child on the ice cold planet of Hoth sobs...... "But Daddy, I have been really good this year, why hasn't Santa visited?" His father tries to comfort his boy, "I don't know son, maybe he took a wrong turn over North Ridge."

Superb entry ACPin - just as we would expert from your master craftsmanship. Love the sleeping pods especially nice and the size of the thing is impressive whilst keeping loads of detail. Going to be a contender for No 1 I think!

Good idea! May I present the new R unit Beach Buddy - a handy energy shield uv sun shade and drink dispenser! Also thanks to everyone for the comments. I think the scene is from the ganster/smuggler resort on Tatoine where they instead of having artificial sand they have an artificial sea - hence the cactus! Han won a timeshare there in a game of Tabac!

Even intergalatic heroes need a break now and then so Han, Leia, Chewie and C3 P0 pack some suncream and swimsuits and head to the beach. Chewie learns how to surf whilst Leia and Han soak up some rays when suddenly they remember they buried C3 P0 up to his neck in the sand! AAARGHHHH! Comments welcome, doing the sea was really tricky. Boots is running it's usual Xmas Mix and Match offer again in the UK and has several of the Star Wars lego included. Of the new wave there are Slave 1, Grievous' Starfighter and Plo Koons starfighter so if you buy Slave 1 and Grievous' you'd get Plo Koons FREE! Shame not every set in this wave is available else I'd have a field day!

Thanks for the instructions Kim. My Bricklink parts arrived today - its hard work finding stores that have all the parts you need to make any of the models. However, I now got everything for IG 88 and C3 P0 and it only cost me about £5 and £3.50 respectively.

Seems like half the packs Lego have provided don't end up making it to promotions. There are 3 or 4 sellers on ebay selling them by the bucket full. Surely Lego loose out with this strategy and it would be far better and fairer to insert randomly in all countries?

The Grievous Starship gets my vote for best all round set. Decently priced, cool minifigs and a nice improved ship.

The vote for Crowd Favorite from the good people of Wigan, United Kingdom goes to....... [drum roll] E43D by Mos_Eisley [loud applause] The reason I have chosen this design is that it combines the technical skill of a master builder with the flair and creativity of an entertainer. On the face of the design is fairly simple - its a 2 sided box - but the level of detail and complexity within this is jawdropping! The competition asked for epic and this build delivered and crammed it all in by the bucketfull! Virtually all the favorite scenes are represented and the impact of each scene almost recreates the accompanying soundtrack to go with it! The main reason he gets my vote though is the originality. There were arguably more accurate or detailed entries of great scenes by new and established MOCers but none came close to creating a design which was such a new or innovative concept. This was a design that came from the depths of someones mind and I would love to know how he came up with the idea! Anyway, well done Mr Eisley and well done everyone who entered. It was obvious from the beginning that a handful of entries were in a different league to the others so a pat on the back for all those who took part in the challenge and enjoyed taking part and a big boooooo to a tiny minority who briefly threatened to ruin the spirit of the contest by cheating the voting.

"It's good, but where's Zuckuss and 4-LOM?" I did try a version with custom Zuckuss and 4-Lom but it looked naff! Mind you - my current version looks pretty pants and hasn't had any votes yet so maybe I shoud of included them! Ah well - there's always the next contest! Patience..

Really nice alien feel to it. Reminds me of the swimming robot beasties from Matrix. Very nice work as usual.

Here is my attempt to recreate one of my favourite scenes featuring some of the greatest characters. The scene is from Empire Strikes Back and begins with disgusted Imperial officers looking up at a collection of "Bouny Hunter scum". The assembled crew receive their instructions from Lord Vader, “There will be a substantial reward for the one who finds the Millennium Falcon. You are free to use any methods necessary – but I want them alive… NO DISINTEGRATIONS!” I love everything about this scene: the way the camera angle has Piett looking up at the feet of the Bounty Hunters, includes one of Vaders classic lines, has one of Boba's rare speaking lines and has glimpses of various fascinating minor characters such as IG 88 and Dengar. 2 points on its construction - I did try to base my concept on the flashing control panels around the computers on board the Executer and I installed a mini flashing light behind the green power core to create this. However, this hasn't come out on the pictures very well so I have taken one picture in dark light to illustrate the intended effect. Secondly, I was hoping my Bricklink purchase of Bossk would have arrived in time for entry but alas seems not so I have had to make do with his troll body double!

Nice review Kim. I got 2 of them recently - the only down side for me is finding the arms and legs to match the torsos - particularily difficult with sand green/blue without ripping up other star wars figures Still totally agree they are amazing and pretty good value to. Thinking bout a purchase of a few more soon - the female clone trooper torso is really neat.

Cool last shot Fenris, are they all Stormtrooper minifigs or is there some CGI, computer jiggery pockery going on??

All the plants in the foreground are my Venus flytrap at various stages of opening/closing. Still amazed at the quality of the shots of the regular contributers to this topic and always nice to see new photographers as well. Wayno - like your distinctive style and crispness to all your shots.

"Assignation of Asajj Ventress" actually works - assignation for those not fluent in english means a meeting or rendezvous, often of a secretive or romantic nature so maybe there is more to this encounter than meets the eye!

That is one hell of a beast you have built Cavegod! Love it! Only improvement for me would be to incorporate a minifig crew and passengers but as you already said you aint a big fan of the minifigs I guess we will just have to imagine this monster towering above hordes of infantry. -

Does anyone on here own one of the 14 carrot gold ones or ever seen one? (Address please so I can come and burgle you!)
-
Interesting comments Andy, could you expand on what the other VIP figs/sets were and maybe pics anyone? The only VIP sets I have seen before were regular figures in nice little scene stands/boxes wereas the white Boba is a propper unique figure so would of thought this was extra special. I had previously thought that the exclusives released so far were the chrome C3 P0, the chrome Vader, the Stormtrooper magnet and the Luke in ceremonial gear from the book and I was quite chuffed that I owned all four! However I doubt I will ever get my mitts on any of these VIP items or the legendary 501st trooper.

Fantastic entry! Lots of great detail and humour. Hope you do well in the contest!

On the remote ice planet of Hoth a secretive and mysterious Jedi, Master Shan-ti Klauze, can occasionally be glimpsed souring high above the tundra in his modified speeder Festive IV. FRONT SIDE REAR SIDE2 TRAILER Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hehe. Very fun entry - love the way you got the foot looming above the Snowspeeder.
