  1. Sunnyx that is just an awesome build. Love the video to highlight its wonderful working features. Best of luck in the contest - this must of taken months (years?) of designing?
  2. Brilliant entry - love the skull and wild west theme going on. Very appropriate design for Cad Bane. Good luck in the contest!
  3. Very nice entry ceroknight. The way you included the prisoners is amazing and I like the overall design as well. Great entry!
  4. I think Fallenangel is trying to say the scale of the model doesn't justify having minifigs with it. Safe to say this debate has divided opinion - I just wish I could afford the SSD and manage to smuggle it binto the house without the wife spotting it!
  5. Wow Skafte! How easy was that?! Was a little sceptical at first but tried it with one of the figures I wasn't that bothered about and it worked after 3 seconds with just the small hole left in the head. Repeated on the new Boba and Aayla keychains and just as easy. Just need to decide whether to use a bit of polyfilla and paint or leave the hole as it is. Obviously not quite as good as the real figure but can't buy every set or get them all at expensive prices off ebay/BL! Thanks for the tip.
  6. Thanks Brickdoctor and Praiter! Will let you know how I go on with my 3 I got on May Fourth,
  7. Just had a quick search round and couldn't find answer - is there a good technique for removing keyrings from chain? I was under the impression they disconnected easily but after a initial tug they don't seem to budge. I guess the alternative is using a small hacksaw so any suggestions welcome on the best way to remove and then fill to look reasonably good. Many thanks Danthebrick
  8. Great entry L-Space. As usual your sense of humour and photoshop editting skills really add to the finished result. Good luck in the contest!
  9. Good comprimise with a mixture of the clear, crisp pictures and the moody, stylish artistic blurry effects. Good work by you and the wife!
  10. Really stylish entry Saint. The grilled front section made with hilts is particularily good. What would finish it off for me would be some sharper pictures to make its excellent outline stand out more. Good luck in the contest.
  11. Great entry BaronSat! Very original and distinctive style. Good luck in the contest!
  12. Went for Cad Banes speeder and 3 keychains to get over £50. I figured that I would probably of bought the exclusive figure off ebay at around upto £20 to add to my other exclusives so really I got Cad Banes speeder which has 4 different figs I don't have, plus the keychains for £30. Well thats my logic and I'm sticking with it! Anyway ordered it to work address because not sure the wife would like my logic! Did have problems getting the ARF on the invoice this morning but worked this evening.
  13. Thanks Kieldaman. Funny you should say it reminds you of the CW hovercraft as that was what my original plan was to build but it gradually morphed into being a ship!
  14. Kirkland Krakka aka - Mad Kirk and his Incom G19 Hound Class Fighter: Kirkland Krakka is a brutal, violent and totally insane Trandoshan Bounty Hunter operating out of the Al Passa VIII Mining system. His reputation for being bloodthirsty and the trail of destruction he frequently leaves have led to his services only being called upon as a last resort or to take on jobs other Bounty Hunters are unwilling to tackle. The Local Garrison Commander on Al Passa witnessed "Mad Kirk"'s antics first hand when the Planetry Council hired Kirk to rescue a party of officials captured by pirates. Kirk successfully tracked and massacred the pirates, however, in the carnage blasted 3 of the officials to oblivion and the only survivor was eaten by Kirk when his ship experienced technical problems and he got hungry awaiting his own rescue. The furious Council initially placed a bounty on Kirk's own head but after loosing countless men trying to bring him in they decided it was wiser to use him to their advantage and now use him whenever missions require reckless bravery or mindless violence. On several occassions Kirk has completed missions only to fail on collecting his bounty because nothing could be salvaged from the wreckage or scraped from the walls to proove his success but he doesn't seem to mind too much. He does have moments of brilliance however, one such example was on the moon of Trion where there were 14 wanted mercenaries holed up with a healthy dead or alive bounty on each mans head. The problem was that his G19 only had cabin space for 2 prisoners/passengers so his solution was to rip out the cabin and cargo section entirely and replace with a crude cage structure. This way the resoureceful Kirk managed to cram all 14 of the dead and dying men into his craft and was able to deposit their remains in a bloody pile on his employers doorstep! Mad Kirk's ship is a Incom G19 Hound Class fighter/scout vessel. It has been heavily modified from a standard scout ship to a design that reflects Kirk's brutal personality. The light canons on the factory vessel have been removed and placed with a move devastating arsenal of 4 linked Taim and Bak KX9 Laser Canons. The biggest modification is that the bog standard engine has been ripped out and replaced by a far more powerful Incom GBK-585 fusiel thrust sub light engine - an engine that is far too big really for a ship of this size, resulting in frequent overheats or powercuts. Kirk himself is armed with a prototype BlasTech "Devastator" heavy blaster rifle. Thanks for running the comp Kim and co - really enjoyed this one.
  15. Very clever and quirky!
  16. Tesco Uk got their double club card offer on over easter so £10 of their vouchers turns into £20 off toys. Stole £20 of my wifes vouchers to get £40 off toys and used them to get Palpatines shuttle which was reduced to £30 and had left over to get my son something! Everyone's a winner!
  17. Excellent MOC Sok, loads of nice features and captures the feel of the ship very well. Have always had a soft spot for the minor Bounty Hunter's ships - I wonder if anyone has done IG-88's IG 2000 or Dengars Punnishing One?
  18. Many thanks to Kim and co for hosting the raffle and well done the winners. Some great entries - my favourite was probably the giant bird poo entry!
  19. In a deserted warehouse on an Imperial outpost a corrupt Imperial Officer carries out bogus weddings. Boba Fett invites just a few close friends to witness his marriage to an attractive Twi-lek who in case she gets second thoughts is still hand cuffed! Boba has made an effort thought an is wearing his special wedding suit.....
  20. Inspiring work Cavegod. Hopefully I might see it for real if not too busy will come and have a gander at the Southport Airshow.
  21. Well done to the winners - some fantastic artistic work and thanks to the organizers, great how you keep coming up with some original entries. I liked the idea of having expert judges, some of the recent contests have been marred ever so slightly by the odd bad egg twisting the rules and friends voting for each other etc.
  22. I really love the second Taun Taun shot Fenris. Its a really hard shot to pull off to get a figure on a distant landscape shot and give the correct sense of scale but you pulled it off. Amazing!
  23. even Wampa's get lonely at Xmas!
  24. No more snow so tried for a better lit shot inside.
  25. Fair comments guys - unfortunately the snow is thawing here in the UK so I might not get a chance for another shot but if I do get the opportunity I will give it another go.
