  1. That´s an awesome looking fort! You´ve put some great techniques into it And ofcourse welcome to the forum, there´s no better way to introduce yourself than with such a MOC
  2. Please start with the real film! A film with so many minifig´s is always nice, and it´s even better with such a good film maker But if you start with the real one, I´d suggest that you put a little bit more blood into it, like when the cannonball hits Good luck!
  3. Instead of buying a ship, you could also follow Capt. Greenhair's 'build a frigate' thread. In that way you can build a good frigate, you can adjust things in your own way, and it's probably cheaper because you don't have to pay for the effort someone puts into his ship. So if you want a nice ship, I think it's a lot cheaper to do that, and you won't get a half destroyed ship that you buy from someone If you are interested, take a look here
  4. Yes the beagle is a very nice idea! I'd love to see that ship with Darwin and Fitzroy as lego figures! And if you finish it in 2020, it will be exactly 200 years after the launching of the real Beagle Anyway, that one would be great. Other nice ships could be the 'Belle Poule' (a nice frigate that brought Napoleon's dead body back to France), or maybe the Endeavour, the Boudeuse or a nice British ship (like HMS serapis). Ofourse it just depends on what you like, you can also make a less-famous ship
  5. Das ist eine sehr schöne geschichte The burning house was really well done and all the other effects were nice too. Now I'm happy that I've had German at school Good job!
  6. Indeed the pictures are quite hard to see on a photograph but the first one is clear enough. And it looks very great! De black bricks give it an extra scary look. It's a very original idea and a really nice result I've never seen anything like this before, good job!
  7. Your sails are indeed very original I don't like them a lot either, but the curved spritsail looks pretty good. Couldn't you make them all curved? For the rest it's a very nice ship, good colours and shape. You are a really fast builder I'm building on my ship for almost a year now and it still isn't finished Good job and good luck in the contest!
  8. R.I.P. Cap'n Redbeard! The best pirate is a dead one! He was irritating our bluecoat navy anyway Nice MOC, simple but very clear Next time you can make it look more professional by using some paper or something like that for a white background
  9. If you're making a 4-masted clipper ship, I think you would get the best result by making the masts look as close as possible like this image: So masts of the same height will do, but the mast in the back should be a little bit shorter. And usually the helm is on the back part of the ship. For the rest it's looking good. Good luck with it!
  10. Isn't it an idea to place all entries in the normal 'lego general disc. and news' forum as well so we can discuss the entries? Or will they be placed in a discussion topic later?
  11. Nice MOC The white cirkel in the water is great and I love the dark brown barrels, I should get a few myself Good luck in the contest!
  12. They are great I'd love to see more of your pokémon! One of my favourites is seedot, It would be very great if you could make him But as a real Lego product I think the main figures+pokémon would do the best.
  13. Here's my entry. I have changed it into a valid format now: These sigfig's think they are posing for a picture, but there's a dark shadow above their heads... I scared some animals/beasts and let them fall of the cliff! Sigfigs I whacked: Cutlass Iz, Shadows, Erdbeereis, SlyOwl, Bonaparte, Imperial Scouts, Lt. Col. Thok and Tom Bricks (as cavalry officer).
  14. I'm sure this is going to be a very fine vessel! Great colours, good shape, I can't wait to see more of this one. Good luck with the build! And did I spot a bluecoat flag there? will she be French after all?
  15. No it doesn't really work:( but I wanted to show you that there are ropes around it because you had asked that last time.
  16. It is indeed! I also like the redcoat skull with the paddles. Nice job!
  17. Very great MOC! I like the rough sea and the boat on it. I'd like to see a very stormy background on this one Anyway, good job
  18. Feel free to whack my sigfig as I will probably do the same with many of yours :skull: The torso is not very important, a bluecoat torso will do fine as well. And you can also use this one:
  19. Man this is so awesome again! Great that you can see inside the cave on the back of the MOC, and all the details are just stunning!
  20. Work is coming along nicely and since there hasn't been a lot going on on this forum lately, I decided to give a small update again As always, first an overall-look: The first sail: I'm also going to ad studding sails, so here are the yards for them (I forgot to flip it): This one is for Captain GreenHair: The captain's cabin: Figurehead: And finally the mast cap (in Dutch: ezelshoofd=donkey head )
  21. Nice MOC, Maybe you could make it a little bit more interesting by adding tiles to the top of the roofs and giving this MOC a bit more colour. But it is just fine now, and I like the chainfence. Good work and good luck in the contest.
  22. The green sea is really...weird and also very original. But they are all great, especially the one with the food chain
  23. Good work! The mask+hair are really a piece of art
  24. Simple yet very great Maybe something for another theme (western, pirate, though they didnt wear these short skirts then) would also be nice. Good luck on the rest of your experiments,
  25. I watch the Olympics on tv so I might see you (without knowing it ofcourse) Anyway, good luck with it, can't wait to see how it turns out!
