  1. OK, on the front page there is a pic of the new Troll thing. We have had all kinds of new mold for the different themes they have picked up, but, no Wapma, Tauntaun. Come on Lego. Please!! That is my 08' rant, sorry. We need more beasts in the Star Wars theme. Sorry, but seeing the new Troll set me off!! Jamie
  2. No gripes with mine, as far as QC goes. Hell, I even got an extra bag of pieces!!! Jamie
  3. I read on FBTB that some had an extra bag of pieces. I think that is what happened with mine aswell. I didn't count the bags. But, there seems to be an awful lot of pieces there. I got 71 bags instead of 70. Or whatever the number was. I think it was 70. Jamie
  4. Did anyone save any of the pics. I am dying to see............the inventory alteast. How many pieces?? The DS is a must have. Hopefully a cell, trash compactor, a hanger big enough for the UCS Falcon. Well alright, maybe not a hanger. But the rest!! :-D Jamie
  5. Hey, wait a minute, I thought it was a system set. It is minifig scale. Just kidding. YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! Jamie
  6. I have all of them. Which one do want me to compare it to?? Jamie
  7. Here is the last series of pics! Any pic requests?? Questions?? Enjoy, Jamie
  8. Here are a few more pics from yesterday. I will be working on it again as soon as I finish this post. Bottom of the engines. Bottom Engine plate attached. This plates section is held on by 4 1x1 plates with vertical clips. These are hidden by the white plate you see in the pic. These plate help fill in the main dish of the ship. Another shot of the filler plates. Plates attached. More filler plates attached. More filler plates. More filler plates, another view of them anyways. More filler plates attached. This piece streching from the cockpit of the frame of ship is what the tunnels plates ride on. They aren't held on by pins or axels, They just sit on the smooth tiles of this piece. Another shot of it. Interior shot of the cockpit. Gotta put some seats in there!!! Thats is a must. Not sure where the pic went of this section by it self. But, here it is attached. More in a few hours, Jamie
  9. No, it is not!! Jamie
  10. I never set the date in my digital camera. That is why the date is 1/1/02. Also, before anyone askes. The reason I used video tapes to show the size, is because I wanted to used something everyone would know the basic size of! They seemed to fit. I know they outdated tech. But, chances are you probably have some laying around the house and now you can string 4 together and have a general idea of size. The model is about 4 tapes long and 3 wide! Give or take about an inch. Jamie
  11. Day 2 of building has come to an end and I took pics as I finished sections of the ship. 22 new pics. These are the sides of the dish and inside of the mandibls. these are held in place by 2 click hinges on either side as well as the 4 blue technic pins inside the mandibles. Frame now with all the side on and greebling heavan! As stated, I used video tapes to show the length, cause I figured it was something everybody had laying around the house. I wanted to use something I thought use pretty common. 4 tapes long. Another shot of the sides. 3 tapes wide. Yet, another shot. inside shot of the bottom mandibles plates. These are held on with the white 2 x 2 plates with Technic pics on bottom. Outside of the bottom mandibles plates. Bottom plates attached. Another shot of the bottom plates attached. These just fill out the bottom of the main dish. They are held on with the Techinc pics. 3 on each. These are kinda cool. These are some inner greebling pieces. These are what you see throught the 4 holes in the mandibles. I'll call these tops. Also these 2 are placed closest to dish of the ship. These bottoms. I guess this is a top shot of the front ones. Bottom of the front inner greeblings. Inside of the something. Not sure what to call it. Outside shot of same piece. This one goes on opposite of the cockpit. It is a bottom pieces aswell. Inside shot. This one has the boarding ramp and, as you all know, goes on the side with the cockpit. These are held in place by the 4 Technic axels. 2 on either side. Side shot with the ramp lowered. Outside shot of the same piece. This is the top gun turrent. Bottom of the top turrents. Nothing holds this on. The 2 studless Technic beams slide between the 4 studless beams from the bottom turrents. Bottom turrents. Notice the 4 Technic beams with the red pins in them. These are what I was talking about above. Those filler pieces attached. Greeblies attached. Another plates attached. The one with the boarding ramp attached. Bottom turrent attached. Top turrent in place.
  12. Keep in mine that in was 10 hours of sitting on the couch. Maybe 5 hours of building. As I said before, I cooked, ate, watched "Gridiron Gang". Have to take some breaks evry now and then!! Jamie
  13. I am not much for writing, so I will leave all that to Dunamis. I am only going to post pics to this thread. This is the top of the main frame. This is the bottom of the frame. It is very sturdy! This is another shot of the frame. I took this pic so you can see the 4 x 6 square Technic piece. There is one on the top and bottom. This is where you attach those long flat pieces between the mandibles. Sorry, don't know the name. Built and installed the 3 bottom pieces. Another shot of the bottom plates. Notice the 2 x 2 tan technic bricks with the axel hole. This is where the landing gear is attached. Only one axel from the landing gear in used to attach it. Landing gear installed. 6 of the 7 anyways. Another shot of those. The middle thing, I refered to above in built and installed. The hole in the center is for the 7th landing gear. Left side of the rear engines. Right side of the rear engines. Above shot of the engines. These are held on by 4 click hinges. 2 on each side. Aswell as 12 1 x 2 plates with one stud. These are on the very back of the ship. This after about 10 hours of building, but, I was watching TV, took bathroom breaks and made something to eat. I will work on it more later and post more. More later, Enjoy, Jamie
  14. 443. Saginaw, Michigan, USA. Jamie
  15. I'll have mine tomarrow. It shipped from Tennessee?? I love tracking!! I start vacation tomarrow aswell. Post pics later, I do plan on taking them as I progress. Jamie
  16. I just got off the phone with S@H customer service and mine is shipping tomarrow. She didn't know how many were, but, a second batch is being shipped Monday. Go look at your CCs again. Hopefully I have mine being Friday. I took a vacation from work for this!!! :-D :-D Jamie
  17. Just found this at my local TRU, no sign of the Republic Cruiser, Hoth, or the TIE Crawler. I like this ship a little more the the original, the front has more shape to it, but, I wish they would have took a different approach to it. I'm not sure the slopes they used were the best choice. But, still a great ship and very cool set. Buy it!!! Jamie
  18. From what I have heard, the first few will be on display on in CT, Denmark and the various Legolands. Plus the designer will have one. That bacisally eats up the first 10, after that I think they are up to Lego whcih one they ship to you. You may get 11, then again, you may get 2946 or 3895 or 4329. Either way it is the same model and same pieces. So, no, #1 will not be avalible to the public. And, no, #1 will not be a prototype. That is probably in the designers office. Hope this helps, Jamie
  19. OT all the way!! To me the PT was not the Star Wars I grew up with and didn't feel right to me. But, then again, I have all the sets released, both PT, OT, as well as EU. So, I will probably buy anything they release! Just my 2 cents, Jamie
  20. Nothing special!! Supports and such. Jamie
  21. I understand dollar for dollar, but, what she was saying is ALL LE Falcons would have a gold C-3PO in them to add their Limited-ness. In which case dollar for dollar is void. Maybe she's right, maybe not. Only time will tell. I am leaning toward not, but, I hope I am wrong! I just though it would something cool to discuss. Jamie
  22. Long story short, after shopping all day yesterday and talking to my wife while shopping and driving. She made a good point I wanted to get some feedback on and hadn't though of before, nor saw discussed, here goes. Will the Limited Edition 10179 all have a Gold C-3PO in them?? Her logic is there are between 1500 and 4500 LE Falcon and 10,000 C-3PO's and nothing aside from the Box and COA making the LE that special. Anyone heard a rock solid number anyways? It will aso have the regular C-3PO of course, but, the gold one.............. What do you think, Jamie
  23. You guys are too funny!! Great idea for a contest though. Pick 2 people a month and have a build off. I'm game, where do I sign up?? Jamie
  24. The closest Lego Store to me is about 6 hours away in Chicago. Mall of America is about 8! I don't see me hitting a Lego Store anytime soon. Thanks, Jamie
  25. Hey guys, I know this is Eurobricks, but, people from the states come here too. Hope you don't the heads up. Yesterday morning I spend 3 hours and hit 3 WalMarts, 3 Meijers, 2 Targets, 2 KMarts and my local TRU. Nothing new anywhere! NO Lego, NO figures, nothing!! I am dying to get my hands the McQuarrie Chewie and Animated Boba Fett!! But, anyways, yesterday evening. My wife and I went to a movie and I stopped at TRU again, just before closing and guess what, there they were. All 3 sets sitting right on the shelf. I picked up 7661, the other 2 will have to wait a week or so. They were found at my Local TRU in Saginaw, Michigan. Jamie
