Nice build, and funny! It would look even better if it was a bit smoother.

This is part II of the story, see also: Part I - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87298 Our journey to Corellia had proven uneventful so far. As a precaution we had been dropped off several miles out from our destination, and travelled by foot towards our target. Trekking through the lush forest was a welcome change of pace from the usual spaceships, but we all kept our focus on the mission. The plan was to enter the equipment cache from a little known side entrance. Even though we had pretty exact coordinates, we spent a while searching for the entrance. "Over here Sergeant!" Jackson said, "Found it!". Peering into the darkness of the small cave sent a little shiver down my spine. What was waiting for us inside? We would know soon. (To be continued in the next free build. C&C welcome! I'd like this to be judged.

[SoNE Free Build] New assignment
LegoFjotten replied to LegoFjotten's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Thanks again for the comments all! I wanted to do a series of 16x16 vignettes for my next round of freebuilds so I that's just how it ended up! Now that you pointed it out however, I think it would have looked a lot better even with a couple of studs more on each side. -

Nice little build! You are in trouble when the next inspection is up though!

[SoNE Free Build] New assignment

Oh crap, I accidentally used the wrong unedited image (that image also used Lifelites and not Technic lights, which is not allowed). I have updated to the correct version using only Technic lights now. Judges, please use the current photos for judging. -

I just knew you would spot the blooper... I photographed this in two rounds, and for the first round I just used a temp fig with my characters head. The lighting was a nightmare so after I realised my mistake I just let it go. Rest assured the costume department has been reprimanded and will not be doing that mistake again... (with heavy breathing) "You have failed me for the last time, assistant Peggy!" About not looking at the monitor, oh snap! I had them looking at the monitor, but the scene was just more interesting when you could see their faces. I meant to do a quick story rewrite to have them look at something on the holoboard-thingie, but didn't get around to it... stay tuned for a quick story rewrite... -
Corellia. My home planet. Hadn't been home for a couple of years, and now I was headed there on a mission. Sgt. Logan had put his crew together in a hurry, and told me we would be briefed on the way. My train of thought was interrupted as the video monitor came alive with a familiar face, it was General Rieekan himself! "Good day soldiers, the clock is ticking so I will keep this short and to the point." he said. "As many of you know, we had a base on Corellia for a short period before moving on to Hoth. We left behind a number of weapon and equipment caches since it was deemed to risky to move everything at once. I had hoped to retrieve this equipment by the aid of Han Solo, but unfortunately things did not work out as planned. Due to our recent setbacks, we need that equipment more than ever. One week ago we sent a team with some of our top operatives to facilitate the transport." "Three days ago we lost contact with this team. At first we thought it was just an equipment malfunction, but it's become clear that something has happened. Your mission is to scout their last known location and gather intelligence to find out what happened to them. Meanwhile we will assemble a new transport team, but it is imperative that you provide us with on-site intel so our next team does not walk into a trap. We can not afford to lose more men or equipment." "Sgt. Logan, I have sent you the mission details, make sure you study it well.", Rieekan said. We all looked at the holoprojector as Rieekan continued: "From this point on all your communications will be according to secure protocol. Good luck men." With those final words, the video transmission ended. We looked at each other over the table, saying nothing. Everyone knew this was going to be a difficult mission. Edited image, w/ Lifelites Unedited image, with Technic leds C&C welcome! Please judge this. Yeah, I know about the blooper... Edit: Updated the story Edit2: Doh! Used the wrong unedited image - my apologies - now using correct image with Technic leds

Just built the new 75003 A-Wing, nice ship! Lot's of stickers though, which I haven't applied. I really love the new A-Wing pilot, would like to pick up a bunch of these guys. One US seller on Bricklink sells them x20 for a decent price, but that's more than need / more than I can have shipped to Norway due to the ridiculous $30-ish import limit. If anyone would like to split an order send me a PM.

8038 is awesome! The 10198 is still available in some of the local shops at the regular price, picked one up earlier this summer. I was looking for a used 7754, but couldn't find one and settled for bricklinking some parts for a couple of the figs.

SoNE Contest Episode I: Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka
LegoFjotten replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
One question, at the current SoNE time has Crix Madine already defected to the Rebellion or is he still with the Empire? -
Some of the minifigs were missing unfortunately, but luckily the more unique ones I didn't have were all there. All in all last week was pretty good, got a Cafe Corner in great shape with just a few pieces missing for EUR 50 too. A rancor pit for $9.50 is pretty awesome though, living in a small country with ridiculous tax limits has it's drawbacks.

Great stuff as usual! Love the outside greebling, the curved wall, and those cargo crates are great - simple but perfect!

Bought a used lot of mainly SW Lego. After sorting through it all and selling the sets I didn't want (getting more for them than I paid for the lot), I ended up with the following free sets: 6206 - Tie Interceptor 6208 - B-Wing Fighter 6211 - Imperial Star Destroyer 6212 - X-Wing Fighter And 5+ kgs of usable parts, in addition to the usual Bionicle/4 Juniors crap. Some of the sets I sold off were SW PT/CW stuff (I'm pretty much a strict OT guy). I gotta admit I liked some of the sets though, the 7676 Gunship and some of the Jedi Starfighters were pretty nice. The droid sets did nothing for me though.

SoNE Contest Episode I: Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka

Thank you Lobot! -
That's not true for the current sets. Looking at S@H, the only set other than Death Star/Ewok Village to have a regular Stormtrooper is the Endor battle pack. The Droid Escape has two sandtroopers - and that's it for the current lineup.
-
Yeah, it would be a lot better with a BP that contains figs everyone will want many of. Will probably end up getting a couple of packs though. The old 7667 / 7668 packs were awesome. The current Endor BP is also pretty good.

Very nice!

Recently or years ago, doesn't really matter. BTW, the Imperial Shuttle is fantastic, already got two of those. -

Apart from the obvious UCS sets, are there any retired SW sets that are especially sought after? I know The Battle of Endor is pretty popular, but are there other sets that you wouldn't hesitate about picking up if you had the chance? -
Thanks for the nice comment! I hope you don't mind me stealing the backdrop from your entry and used for the Ant Eater, I went out and bought those orange paper sheets after seeing your entry.
-
Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure your entry will be just as instrumental in this battle though! The Warthog was part of how I came up with the anteater nickname. :D

Got a used Cafe Corner w/ instructions for EUR 50! Missing minifigs and the roof of the small tower, but otherwise in great shape.
