I'm disappointed, but I guess I knew deep down that we probably wouldn't win this...congratualtions to South Africa. They've been excellent throughout the tournament. :-) I think it was a try but oh well. That discussion could go on forever. At least we were the only team that got the ball over the line instead of relying solely on penalty kicks (not to diminish South Africa's great play). Well I feel bad about it, but not too bad...we beat the Australians and the French and made it to the final, so I think England have done fairly well. And there's plenty of matches and tournaments in the future.

YES!!!!!! England wins! Scraping victory from defeat! *sweet* Well done to all. Still got those good feelings now mate?! ;-) (no offense, everyone played well)
-
LOL, this morning I woke up to people outside singing 'We're England, we're gonna score one more than you - England!' I love that song :-D Anyway, I have no idea who will win. It could go either way. Sure, I'd like England to win, but I don't like to say 'they will win' because then it's embarrassing if they lose.

YES! The old country triumphs ;-) Congratulations to the players of both England and Australia for such a great game.

Hm, now that Jonny's back England are doing a bit better; the matches against Tonga and Samoa were played fairly well. I just hope they can keep it up. My uncle and cousins live in Christchurch and they are certainly All Blacks fans and I hope the NZ team does well (not that I'd ever support them over England ;-) ) And yes, rugby is a great game. Better than football I'd say (much more happens in the matches).

I knew it would be bad, but I didn't predict it being such a farce: 33-0...South Africa absolutely slaughtered England. It was disgraceful. A complete lack of any coordination or effort on their part. If it wasn't my own country then I'd laugh at how appalling it was. I wouldn't have minded if they had at least tried and got some points, but it was just sloppy and lethargic. The English team had better get their skills out of their backsides and onto the pitch or they're going to be out.

That's absolutely insane, at what rate was he buying sets?! Three a day!? That said, all those soldiers put together look very nice; all that blue and gold and silver.
-
Okay...now this is a set I am desperately hoping for! And make sure the human pawns carry either axes or swords (no spears, please; I'm already voerflowing with them). I wonder what they'll do for the queens?

Do you think LEGO should make Chronicles of Narnia sets?
Sir Kohran replied to BearHeart's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Why not get the license for The Hobbit, when it's released? -
Yes, I think that might make for a very good screaming Orc. :-X

That's utterly spectacular in every possible way. Everything about it is so good it almost takes MoCing to a higher level. What I like most is that there's not one focus points but several - the gritty, weather-beaten mountain castle, the official-set-based ship and the Kraken itself. Brilliant. I hope to build stuff like this myself someday.

Congratulations, all members of Eurobricks! One grand is always a great figure to celebrate. X-D

Is the '07 Castle a step in the right direction?
Sir Kohran replied to Echo's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Blasphemy, I know, but I think this line is actually better than the 'Classics'. 8- -
Just out of interest...I'm a Classic Castle member and was on here when it went down. Does that entitle me to the Classic Castle rank bar?

Just out of interest...how do you become a 'Fellow' and get one of these flags?

European or American, who is the better builder?
Sir Kohran replied to morris's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think it's impossible to say as there are generally more American builders than European builders, so the proportions and statistics will be biased. Also, how could you measure it? There are so many different themes and building types that it would be too varied. -
Does anyone know when these wonderful sets will be released?
-
Um, wow...I really don't know what to say...it's just so good. No, wait, it's brilliant! Oh sure, there are a few <insert that tiresome argument> elements here and there, and the bad castle is a bit ridiculous, but what the heck, it's overall fantastic! Thanks very much, Lego... And...UNDEAD! *skull*

For City, I chose the Airport - it's great to see a more civilian side of life, and the building itself is quite nice and solid. Also, the other sets are a bit boring and flat... For Batman, I chose Arkham Asylum - it's a great design and it's brilliant to see so many different minifigs in one place. I guess it's also partly by default, as most of the other sets are just one on ones between Batman and a do-badder (is that a phrase?). But overall the whole theme has been awesome. For Star Wars, I chose Jabba's Sail Barge - the wide array of minifigs is cool (and the reutrn of the Gamorrean Guard - woot!) and all the brown and tan bricks are great. However, I don't think Star Wars overall has been too strong lately. This set is just an exception. Looking forward to the next poll....

I liked how everything in the world was made of Lego, like the crew using fire pieces to light the cannons - right down to the waves lapping with transparent and white bricks. Also, the figs were smoothly animated, even in the crowd fight scenes, and were also accurate to the sets. My only complaint is that the good guys were Imperial Soldiers and not Imperial Guards...*selfish fanboy nit-picking*

England played excellently in the first half, getting a pretty good goal, but then pulled their typical stunt and flopped back, instead of keeping up their attack, and let Sweden get in. What made it worse was Michael Owen's collapse within the first few minutes. Oh well; I suppose a draw is okay. Let's hope thingsg o better later on.

Quoth the great Swiftone of Lego: It's real! I knew it! *y*
-
I'm genuinely hoping this will be real (but if it is, the old heraldry will need to go). The set design is excellent - on the level of Vladek's Dark Fortress, in fact. I really like the 6090-esque tower/keep in the center of the castle. And I love the colouration - pearl white with royal blue. It really fits the feel of KK2. I believe 10176 is a real set - I remember reading it on a Japanese bidding site a month back. However, I don't know if this is the image that goes with it.

This is the stuff that my best Pirate dreams are made of. 5/5.
