  1. Err, my niece plays with Barbies, My Little Ponies, stuffed animals and dolls, and she also happens to like LEGO. You may want to check your graph again because I'm not so sure just "tomboy" girls are into LEGO. I specifically remember having female cops in some of my old Police sets, so I don't see why there shouldn't be some in the new line. Having said that, it's not that hard to make a female officer yourself which is actually what my niece does at times (also applies to aliens and whatnot ).
  2. How about one of those red plume wheels? My guess would be croutons, at least that was my interpretation. Nice looking salad, though the fork could use some work, looks more like a pitchfork right now.
  3. Just finished watching The Dark Knight. It was a little too dark for me; don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it a lot but I still like Batman Begins better.

Hmm, may have to agree with you there, looks like they were trying to make it too futuristic looking with all the knobs and buttons...

If I had to choose any one car I would pick a Nissan GT-R, love that car.
  6. Wow my niece would love one of those, I wonder if/when they are going to be sold in stores or on S@H?
  7. I can definitely see the shape coming along nicely, for the scale of the bricks it's a really nice design so far. What color are the modulex bricks you are using, sand red?
  8. Well that's the thing, out of all the "girlie" attempts TLG has put out there I think Paradisa was most like any of their other themes in that there were standard vehicles and buildings you could make; I remember my sister longing to get Rolling Acres Ranch which had both those things.
  9. Why not just bring back Paradisa; heck even I liked Paradisa back in the day, and I think I turned out alright.
  10. Wow, getting on a 5 year old for losing her bricks, you should be ashamed of yourself. I wasn't aware they started selling them so soon on S@H, what month do they usually list it on their website?
  11. Does that include mine which we were talking about what seemed like forever ago?
  12. I know it's an odd request in the month of August, but I found out recently my niece lost all her little sets from the advent calendar I gave her this past Christmas. Needless to say she is heartbroken, so I was thinking of giving her another one if anyone has one. I'd much rather trade than buy, but we can always talk. So if anyone has one shoot me a PM, thanks.
  13. Any new or updated piece is fine in my book, though it would be nice if it wasn't an either/or type situation. Both pieces have uses so hopefully TLG continues to make both pieces.
  14. My niece just recently turned 5 years old; I got her one of the pink brick buckets for her birthday since she has been bugging me to let her play with my collection. She loves it, but I'm not sure it's because of the colors. She primarily likes the bucket because it's her very own collection. She does play with the girl minifig that came with, though she also likes to play with any other by mixing and matching hair, etc. I guess the moral of this story is that pink bricks didn't make her more interested in LEGO, I'm pretty sure I influenced her in that department. I may conduct an experiment by taking her to Toys R Us one day and asking her if she could pick one set what it would be; my guess would probably be the horse camper or something with animals in it since that is what she likes at her age.
  15. Have you checked out his song called Rewind featuring Wyclef, Jammiedodger714? I usually don't like rap that much, but I like that song for some reason.

You do realize -30F is -34C so it's not that big of a difference. And I'm sorry for starting all this snow talk. I dunno, for some reason I've never really liked American muscle cars. Although out of all of them the Camaro does seem like the coolest.
  17. I agree with Glacarcheo, the color scheme seems a bit off but you could easily build it up with the standard PM colors. Seems to be a good size too...any reason for the hole in the middle?
  18. Happy birthday Panda and anyone else that has one today; I know you'll get lots of presents, maybe even some LEGO related goodies.
  19. I'm not really seeing the point of bag building other than to say you did it, which I guess is a point in and of itself. I commend anyone who's done it, but I don't think I'll waste my time try my hand at it.

Thus the quotes around snowstorm. It was the first time snow had stuck on the ground since forever (we had an actual snowstorm in '93 but that's the only time I can remember with over 6 inches on the ground). That's part of the reason I took the photo, once in a lifetime experience haha. Anyone heard anything about Scions? I was researching the tC, and it was surprisingly the cheapest car that I liked. It wasn't as powerful and didn't have many of the bells and whistles of other cars, but it does have a nice form factor (at least to me). I'm mainly wondering about durability/longevity since my next car I'm hoping to keep forever.
  21. That looks really good for a scaled down version of an AT-TE, I like how you stayed true to the color scheme and the details. While not exactly MIDI scale like others have mentioned, it could be used as a one-seater AT-TE or something.
  22. Are you going to the Disneyworld one? If so that one is great, by far the biggest selection of parts and sets since the floor space is so big.
  23. Wow wouldn't an away message be awesome so there wouldn't be all these "going away" threads? No vignette to commemorate your vacation, I'm disappointed (just kidding, have fun ).

Alright don't laugh guys but here is my humble ride, a 2005 Nissan Sentra SE (taken during our "snowstorm" in March this year): It may not be much, but it means a lot to me because it's my first car I paid off 100% with my own money (besides the $2000 down payment my parents helped me with). Once I graduate college next year and get a high paying job (easier said than done), I plan on getting a 370z. I've also always wanted a motorcycle too, but I think that's off topic here in Car Talk.
  25. Congrats to the winners, is there anyway you could link to the winning pieces?
