  1. When I first went into the chamber, it felt bigger, which perhaps could be explained by the lack of other people around, but I don't think that was it. I measured the floor's width, but it was the same as before. Right before leaving Siegourney said it felt smaller to her, which makes this even more confusing.
  2. I doubt you would have been killed for editing an image tag, but I fixed it for you.
  3. You've already posted a preview topic for this upcoming creation (at least I'm assuming it's a creation). I don't mind if you keep updating with new pictures, but you don't need more than one topic to do so. Please keep your previews to this thread.
  4. Oh dear. We were told not to climb on the scaffolding, and now look what you've gotten yourself into. Since I'm not fit to help with the lifting required to get the poor girl down, I'm going to look through the backpack and hat laying on the ground there. (In the foreground of the second picture.)
  5. Sandy and Sheldon how did you get into the forest, and what they were doing there? I would like to slowly and carefully reenter the temple, alone if I have to but preferably with a group. Is anyone willing to accompany me?
  6. Oh dear, how alarming. It would be a shame to miss the eclipse, but someone could be in danger. Before going anywhere though, I would like to make a quick search through the foliage on these steps, to see if there are any oddities amidst them. I'd also like to know how Sandy and Sheldon got into the forest, and what they were doing there.
  7. The only way that would work (that I know of) is if each subtheme of yours was put into its own post. Trying to put each line into its own post now would be a hassle and probably not worth the trouble. At this point I think your better off as it is. The first post is a little difficult to navigate, but it's still very possible to find what which section we are looking for without the links you're talking about.
  8. Hello Thomas, thanks for sharing your creation. It's very nice. Your images are very large though. Please don't embed pictures larger than 800 x 600. I've changed the images to links. As others mentioned, Adventurer themed builds actually belong in Action Themes. I'll moved this thread to there.
  9. Since Elander put so much work into his LotR set ideas, I said it would be okay for him to start a separate topic for them instead of trying to format them in the Lord of the Rings Set Ideas topic.
  10. Since it isn't an actual licensed theme by TLG, the topic should go here (Historic Themes). If LotR becomes a license in the future, the thread would then be moved to Licensed Themes.
  11. You've definitely put enough work into this to warrant your own topic, so if you would like to create one that's fine with me. My only concern would be that if you start another thread about Lord of the Rings set ideas, we would have two topics discussing the same thing. If that happens, I would likely lock this thread and have the discussion continued in yours.
  12. Hello Chris, welcome. Eurobricks is home to many people from all over the world, so we don't count on everyone having great English, but members are expected be courteous to others by using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation to the best of their ability. Please make sure your posts are as clear possible. Since you are from England hopefully that won't be an issue.
  13. Be sure to take a look at Pif Paf City, this beautiful western diorama by Kris Kelvin: See more in the discussion thread.
  14. It looks like there is a tile missing (the dark grey spot four squares to the right of the pillar). I would like to examine the spot.
  15. Thanks for sharing your thoughts WhiteFang, I agree with most of what you said. Forestmen's Crossing is a good set, but doesn't really capture me the way some of the other Forestmen sets do. I think it is slightly overrated due to the rare Forestwomen and baseplate. The Guarded Inn was included in my list. I liked the Dark Forest theme and was happy to see its release, but the design of Dark Forest Fortress feels a little thin to me. I would have preferred something more compact looking, perhaps without the large baseplate.
  16. This is a creation I've seen before, but it's nice to look at such a good build again. I personally like the smooth look of the tiled water, and in this case the way the light reflects off it. This is impressive in both size and attention to detail. Thanks for sharing!
  17. The update is definitely an improvement. One thing I would change is the colour of the benches to something other than tan. Perhaps dark grey?
  18. Very impressive SiRoa! Do you buy many of the battlepacks, or are most of your figures acquired through the regular sets?
  19. Neat! We don't see too many creations that explore this side of medieval cities. The buildings' exteriors seem a bit plain to me, but I'm sure that's something that can improve if you continue to build in the theme.
  20. Well, it's a nice looking wall anyway. I like the brown framing. The little archway on top looks out of place, considering there's nothing else around it. Calm down. Even though you crossed it out, calling someone else an idiot is not acceptable. As far as I can tell, this has nothing to do with the pirate theme, and therefore does not belong in the pirate forum.
  21. The first scene is simple but nice. I like the use of the game piece as the baby. The horse heads as toy horses in the second scene is great, but I'm not sure I understand the castles they built - what are they supposed to be made of? The action looks good in the third scene, though if possible I think the wall should be higher. I also don't think it makes sense to have the maiden with the knight while the battle is still in progress. She should probably stay off to the side until everything is safe. Overall a good little series.
  22. Thanks for the compliments everyone! I'm glad to see this is sparking some discussion. The Wolfpack Tower is a great set, but in the end I decided not to include it simply because I'm not impressed enough by it. Ah! I'm not sure how I forgot that one. That is indeed a magnificent set. I like 10176 more than King Leo's Castle and The Castle of Morcia, but overall am not too fond of the set. The design feels recycled, and the reuse of those lion insignias was confusing considering it was released towards the end of the KK2 line. It's definitely not a bad set, but I wouldn't rank it as high as some of these other castles. 6073 is a nice little castle, but is very similar to Black Falcon's Fortress and falls short when the two are compared. A great set that I definitely could have been put on my list. It's a fresh idea and well executed. The dwarf figures are some of my favourites. I'm not a fan of the Night Lord's Castle, but I do like that they tried something different. Most of the castles by TLG follow a certain pattern whereas this one is breaks away from that with the tall tower. Unfortunately the design wasn't executed as well as it could have been. I actually enjoyed KKI and most of KKII, but didn't like any particular set enough to include. There's been a few discussions on whether Ninja should be included as part of the castle line or not, and I'm still not entirely sure what I think. I really like the sets, but decided not to use them this time. If I had included Ninja, Flying Ninja's Fortress probably would have been on the list. Vladek's Dark Fortress is very impressive and probably better than its predecessor the Castle of Morcia, but I didn't think it was good enough to put on my list. I can't think of any particular reason offhand, so it's probably just personal preference (and so is everything else, really ). Interesting point about the baseplates. I generally prefer baseplates to regular plates as the building surface, but it isn't a big enough factor to deter me from the recent sets (the Viking Fortress and Troll Mountain Fortress were also built without baseplates). I chose not to include the Ninja (and Viking) sets for no real good reason. Perhaps I should make an amendment.
  23. You could put the list in your notepad then (in the "my Controls" section), instead of your signature.
  24. Neat display idea! Are these mounted on something or laid out on a table? Your army of mounted knights is very impressive.
  25. Everyone please remember that we have members from all around the world, so something you are comfortable with could be offensive to someone else, and vice versa. Political events can be a very touchy subject, so if we can't discuss this in a considerate manner the topic will be locked. This is not the topic to discuss general distribution and price variations either.
