I'm a little confused myself. It seems to fit here fine, but considering it's pirates contest entry it should be in the pirate forum. I'll move it back. The creation looks good, by the way.

Prince of Persia Theme Month Game: SIGNUP!
Sir Dillon replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ooh, I'd like to play! -
I'm really no use in a fight, so I'd like to move as far away from the tentacles as possible. If anyone gets wounded I can try to help stop bleeding, etc.
-
Yeah, the pictures aren't great but we already knew what the set looked like. Thanks for the review anyway. I'm glad to know he has the double-sided head.

I don't care for the Samurai's camp. It looks too built up for a camp, and doesn't seem too Japanese either. The raised baseplate also takes away from common theme you have going with the other camps. The others are very neat though. I particularly like the oasis in the Persian scene, and the tree in the Bull camp.

Please keep embedded images at 800 x 600 pixels or smaller. Your pictures aren't that big, but when you're posting so many it can add up.

Red Moon Confirmation & Discussion thread
Sir Dillon replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I kept trying to build a structure for the spear trap that would fit within the 8 x 8 alcove the spears were in. So thanks for the clue Hinckley, it was really simple once I had that. -
I'm feeling particularly bold now (and reckless, because my son is dead and I'm super depressed ), so I'll try pressing the red tiles, using the piece of paper as instructions. So, I'd like to press all the tiles marked as "O"s, in the order of the number next to each one. That means I'll press top-left tile of the right section first, then the bottom-left tile of the left section second, then the bottom-right tile of the right section third, and finally the top-left tile of the left section fourth.

I did not realise that. I thought the dark silver was the same colour as the super battle droids, and the silver was the same as last year's swords. How different are the colours?

You're yelling in my ear. Can we try this for the puzzle: Sorry for the ghastly image. Red is the inverse 75 slopes, blue is the regular 75 slopes, and green is the smaller inverse slopes.

Member 74louloute found a copy of the upcoming LEGO Kingdoms set 7955 in Paris and shares an image with us: Discuss in the Historic Themes Forum.

Please note that I have moved the discussion of 74louloute's Magician set to [here]. I agree. I suppose I can understand people saying its boring, but the is the least <insert that tiresome argument> we've seen in a long time, and is probably the closest we'll ever get to the "classic" style. I had forgotten just how many figures were in the larger Fantasy Era sets. The Kingdoms line is perhaps a step down minifigure wise from those, but I think one could argue that skeletons are cheaper to produce than normal figures and that the amount of figures in the Troll Mountain Fortress lessened the overall piece count. The flagship sets of the previous lines had figure counts similar or lesser to those from the Kingdoms line. (For example Vladek's Dark Fortress had 8, the Castle of Morcia had 7, King Leo's Castle had 8 including a skeleton, and the Night Lord's Castle had 7 including a skeleton.)

I hope you don't mind me splitting this away from the main discussion topic. I thought this was important enough to warrant its own thread. Thanks for the picture and little review, this is a great little set. I like the printed tile, but am not sure about the English text. I might have preferred it if it was ineligible like previous scroll tiles.

Who has the pendant and the stones?! We should try touching them to the demon.
-
What are you comparing the sets with to find 8 and 5 a lack of figures? Those numbers seem about average these days.
-
Fantastic build Hippotam! It looks great all the way around. The title gave me a laugh.
-
The images might not be amazing quality, but they're better than the other pictures we've had. I'm particularly glad to see a larger picture of the tower.

Classic-Castle has received some new full-sized images of the new Kingdoms sets: Click an image to view its full-size version, or discuss in the LEGO Historic Themes forum.

Whoops, sorry about that. It should be fixed now. Thanks for letting me know!

Yes, it can be good for a member to give credit if he borrowed something from another builder. Vladoniki's creations are vaguely similar to the buildings you linked to, but I don't see anything that shows he directly copied them. I get frustrated when I see someone trying to take credit for something that isn't theirs, but trying to force others to give credit for something they might have never even seen before is not the way to combat this.

Great work ISC! The variations in the cliff face keep it interesting, and I like all the wooden supports throughout. The minifig action is good and really brings the creation to life. In a way it looks like both sides of the creation are outdoors, and the mountain has been mined so much that this little chunk of rock is all that's left. I doubt that's what you intended, but it adds to hilarity of the scene imagining it that way.

Yes! Thanks for the review CopMike! It's good to see some more detailed pictures of this set. Don't tell Bonaparte!

I don't know how accurate it is, but many illustrations depict Teutonic knights with wings or horns on their helmets. For example:

Great work Piglet! I agree with Captain Green Hair that this is the type of creation I hope to build someday. Impressive in size and great details all throughout.
