  1. Oh wow, what a line-up. The Vamp is still the best IMO. It has it all, the unique look, the unique build, the unique gearbox, the functions.
  2. That was one thing about the 8070 supercar that was just a bit off with the engine sitting so far back from the suspension.
  3. The model overall looks great. Yeah, the more that I thought about it, it does look alright using the black toggles in combination with the think liftarms. I also love the wheels. Very cool.
  4. I kind of do not like the way that TLG did the top corners of the windshield. I guess it looks ok though.
  5. Oh wow. This is much better than I thought that it was going to be.
  6. The instructions are absolutely fantastic and well worth $12, hats off to both of you for you time and effort. I just finished the chassis for the Porsche a few days ago. I did the chassis all in black because I just like the chassis better in black. It is designed amazingly well and works flawlessly. I am going to do a review for the model and instructions after I am finished. I have been taking pictures along the way. I highly recommend the instructions to anyone who is a fan of Technic cars.
  7. The model overall is pretty cool, but that suspension looks a bit flimsy for the size of the model. Seems like there would be a fair amount of flexing on the shocks.
  8. That 20% off is only good as long as their is no sale or promotions running, which seems to be all of the time. They'll have some cheap $4 minifig that they give away with purchase and it negates the 20% off coupon.
  9. They actually have all of their sets cut. They have the Logging truck and Grand Prix Racer for $119.99
  10. That wasn't a slogan, it was the actual comment that Paul made about the picture. And I think that the comment brings out the magic of the picture, and the story was just the icing.
  11. "I know that I'll never be a movie or rock star, but if I can inspire one child through my Lego work, then my purpose in life has been fulfilled..." You're a rock star to some of us Paul.
  12. This Simpson's theme has so much potential that it is scary. Avatar? The Last Airbender? Isn't that the truth! Lego and their double standards. We all know what they meant with that plant!
  13. I see Paul has a full kit on Ebay. Too bad I just put in some big bricklink orders yesterday.
  14. Paul, the white 3 stud pins with the stop bush are also getting hard to find. Looks like this white version isn't going to happen outside of painting parts.
  15. Just downloaded the instructions. They are presented very professionally and look great. I especially liked the intro before the actual build giving some background on the actual car and the thoughts from Paul himself, this was a nice touch! The only parts that look a little tough are the 5x11 panels and 6 black bushings, but there are plenty of those on bricklink, so it shouldn't bee too too bad. Now I need to figure out which bricklink store to attack first.
  16. WOW! From the video this looks really solid and well built. I cannot wait to start getting parts together for this. Are you going to upload it to rebrickable?(I hope so  ) Looks like there are 5 of them, so much for that Going to have to settle for the traditional red.
  17. This is very odd considering that you could order all of the new Mindstorms EV3 parts and the large set isn't out yet.
  18. I apologize, I had seen the renders on brickshelf along with a comment about the instructions being available and I just jumped the gun. I have been waiting for these since last summer. I have a link for Paul's website saved and it is this one http://www.crowkille...odel=vampire-gt which is what you were taken too when you originally went to crowkillers.com, but I see now that he has a main page that I never knew about.
  19. Just spotted this over at Brickshelf. Posche 997 GT3 by Paul Boratko. Instructions available at crowkillers.com However, I do not see instructions anywhere. EDIT: Here are the instructions
  20. I highly doubt that we'll ever see a sequential gearbox from Lego, because there is just too much of a chance for the user to do things with it that they are not supposed to, like try to start out driving it in a higher gear. I know it was mentioned before that there needs to be new parts made to have a gearbox that can reliably have a an electric motor running through it. There is a reason why Lego hasn't tried to run electric motors through the driving rings in a Gearbox in a vehicle that can actually drive other than the slow moving 8043. Driving rings have been around for a couple decades now. Lego's official models do not typically require tweaking things to get their models to work properly though.
  21. I think scaling it down would defeat the primary reason why it got so many supports in the first place.
  22. It's easy to impress when you create your own custom minifigure parts to enhance your project.
  23. A simple CV joint has increased in price from .79 to .99
  24. Paul contacted me earlier and said that the new hub housing parts are now available from Lego. The panels however are not.
