  1. ? We'll get penalty votes for not voting, not for reaching a majority vote... I think. If we don't reach majority, I'm assuming top vote gets it. Don't know though. The Demonic Duo running this show didn't clarify, and it's kind of confusing to have both a majority rule and a mandatory vote rule. Ideally one or the other would be used. But the Joker's crazy, so why not just go with it I think the questionable thing about all those votes today, in my opinion, is that everyone who voted seemed to choose someone different for no express reason in particular, and then they also chose only players off the little list I made (coincidentally or not). Furthermore, scum are reactive, and if somebody is in thread saying, scum do this, there is a good chance that one or two will not do that just to try to throw us off. I might do a lot of 'predicting' scum behavior in thread, and it's important to be aware that the scum aren't robots, and will adjust accordingly. I just hope some scum try to kill me tonight, and see where that gets them You hear that you scummy turncoat agents? I want you to kill me tonight. Please **not for not reaching a majority vote**
  2. Just to confirm with you all, The Riddler did not try to get rid of Baby Doll. The Riddler asked four times how her ability works. In a similar way: In no way is the case damning. I think the choice is fair enough, it's at least as good a reason to vote for him as it was for me to vote for the Croc. But, for the sake of the town true criminals here, can we please use the English language correctly and not throw extreme statements around when they aren't called for? It will make things a lot easier for us in the long run Here's hoping the Riddler was a tattler, since he's well on the way to being the first victim of a bandwagon
  3. One little thing making prices better here in Japan is that sales tax is only 5%, and is always included in the price. In the States, tax is added in after. What's Korea's system like?
  4. Yeah, I'll leave this open another day or two. One of the biggest complaints is that the game sign ups are gone before some people notice. I'll aim to send out roles on Monday or Tuesday, and start a day or two after that. My main MOC is ready, and I'll work on a little other bit of stuff, but my daughter ravaged the minifigs I made for this game while I was at work on Friday (she's three) I've told my wife a thousand times not to let her rummage through my room, and frankly, I don't think she gives a shit. Now the Queen has no hair and I have no clue where it is Alright, back to work...
  5. No worries. Your logic is noted. You think scum tend to be the ones out front one day one
  6. And please go over what was said so you can understand it. If you think I am simply randomly voting, you obviously don't understand. Sorry, but it's true. It's been explained a few times already, so I shouldn't have to listen to these sorts of comments anymore
  7. It's been a while since I talked about it, but Lego prices in Japan are similar. I think the key thing to keep in mind isn't that Korea is more expensive than other places, but that America is cheaper. Even in Canada, they are at least 20% more expensive, and there really is no justifiable reason for that, other than TLG giving special treatment to the American market. I don't know how it is in Korea, but in Japan, the set Lego price can be up to double America's price, though it's gotten better as the value of the dollar has dropped the past few years. Here's an example: 8095 Grievous Starfighter is $49.99 on shipping at home. Lego's set price in Japan is Β₯9,450, or $122.54 (I'm shocked to see that, I just chose it at random). But nobody sells it for that. Toys R Us sells it for about Β₯7000, and Amazon Β₯6000. So the stores' regular price "saves" you money, as they like to advertise. If you're spending a lot, it's worth it just to make a Bricklink purchase. Occasionally, I'll save up a few months purchases and buy a few sets there. With the shipping from the States, I save about 20% of the Japanese price. Not a lot, but it helps. Funny thing is, I expect Korea to have better prices than Japan. Korean companies sell Lego on the Yahoo Auction (kind of like e-Bay) at a price that's competitive with Amazon, after shipping. Good luck! And maybe get some suggestions from FallenAngel, since he seems to both buy Lego and live in Korea.
  8. I have to say, I'm not all that opposed to a Riddler lynch. Of the more active posters, him and Catwoman have rung a few bells with me. I'm leaving my vote where it is for the time being, but I have lots of time to change it if it seems prudent.
  9. No, everyone is a suspect. You're a suspect. Some people are being pointed at because of weak statements. Now pay attention from now on! No, it's not according to me. It's according to logic. If everyone votes for the same person, it's hard to learn anything. If you find any data that contradicts that logic, by all means, share. This is going to be a real headache for the first few days, I can tell. Even when the accused snap out of their trance and "defend" themselves, unless they're really nutty and let something slip out, it doesn't mean anything, since there's no way to prove you're innocent. Baby Doll is the only one I'm putting any trust in right now, since she made a verifiable claim, and it would hurt scum to put them out there for no reason. A real headache indeed.
  10. Keep in mind he's the Calendar man. I think everything he says will have time talk in it.
  11. I'll speak slowly since you didn't understand the big words. That was not a bandwagon. I'm not trying to get him lynched. There will be no clear reason to vote on day one. It's better for the Criminals to simply start voting, in different directions. Stop the lollygagging.
  12. You don't have to vote for him. You're not a sheep, are you? Town Criminals should have the confidence to liberally throw a vote out. I'm not worried about being investigated, so I can play actively. The Agents are deeply worried about being investigated, so they will avoid being noticed. Vote for someone you think is suspicious. This is day one. Votes are mandatory. There will be no real evidence against anyone. Again, I'll repeat this: This is day one. Votes are mandatory. There will be no real evidence against anyone. His activity is no more suspicious than anyone else on my list, so I'm throwing that out there. Then we can see people's reactions. Really, we should get three or so lynch nominees. Then, the chances that we peg an Agent are higher. Agents will be forced to vote together as a block to keep their guy from being lynched. But all of us bandwagoning one person helps nobody but the Agents, and sitting around discussing votes without placing any does nothing for us either. So, I suggest people vote early, then we ca unvote as need be.
  13. Normally, I think that's the way to go, but with the cowardly crew we assembled here, I have a feeling at least some of the scum agents will try to do the under the radar thing. Furthermore, I think waiting to vote is far more dangerous. We have (less than) 48 hours to vote, and if we leave it to the end, we can't let the potential lynchee defend themselves, and we can't unvote, since it will be too late. This is just an informal list of the people who I think were either not speaking much, or not saying much when they did speak. (Please keep in mind that this is only my second opportunity to speak, and that I had to just peruse what everyone said, and may have missed some details.) Clayface/WhiteFang Deadshot/Rumble Strike Harley Quinn/Alopex Hush/Mrlegoninja Killer Croc/JediAnakin Man-Bat/Sirius Black Mr Freeze/Oky Mr Zsasz/Nightshroud99 Ra’s Al Ghul/Fred Fred Burger Simon The Pieman/ Scorpiox The Mad Hatter/Jedi master Brick Two-Face/K-nut In the interest of getting people to vote early, so we can actually see things, I do this: Vote: Killer Croc(JediAnakin) Nothing person, Greenie, just trying to feel the water

  16. I've got a pile of apps on my iPhone. The ones I get lots of use out of are varied. Games (these days): -Tiny Town (the biggest waste of my life I've had in years.) -Kairosoft games (mega-mall story, Edo Town) -GROOVE (awesome techno rhythm game) -Katamari Damacy and nobi-nobi boy... great abstract "games" More later if need be....
  17. No. That player list is all accepted players. But I expect all players to consider the game before they play and as they play, particularly those who didn't answer those questions to my liking (and to be fair, I'm experienced, but I am not an authority on these matters). That's one of the key things that has been discussed with hosting staff here, the approach of players and style of play. In other places I've played, the games are quite different than here. There are a few reasons for it. The first is the tendency here to consider it a survival game. The second is that players, especially new ones are too caught up in the window dressing of the game, which is only meant to add to the fun, not affect it. But there will be more on that later.... No worries, you're playing

Chromeknight Answers will be revealed and discussed after sign-ups are closed, and can be considered the first (real) lesson of the game. I'm not going to do anything with them yet, until the sign ups are closed. Sixteen is enough to play, and twenty is optimal, so let's give it a day or two. Once the answers are posted, people can discuss them for a day or two. Once the game starts, there will not be an active discussion thread, since it tends to get abused, especially by new players. I'll be giving general strategy advice to players in the day threads which they can choose to take or ignore, and players will be relatively free to PM me during the game about how to approach things. As for targeting them... And here is a mafia school lesson: Good players tend to be targeted first by scum. Clueless players float along to the end of the game. If you want to nominate them, it's fair. Sometimes a bad townie will win the game for scum Ah, it doesn't really matter. Everyone is welcome. But it gives us some stuff to think about before we get started
  19. Well folks, I'm sorry I'm late to our little shindig, but now that I'm here, let the good times roll! I don't see why you think the agents care about the vote today. They're not going to care unless we luck into voting for them. If anything, say there are two people on the chopping block, they'll probably space their votes between the two. If it's a random vote, they won't care either way. Point being, they have no need to control the vote on day one. It's really better if they don't. Assuming this wasn't the real life situation it obviously is, were it a game, and hey, let's have fun and pretend it is... The criminal to agent+other ratio should be about 3:1... depending on the game we play. Meaning there should be a one in four chance of a successful lynch, meaning about three in four chance of one of the good bad guys. Still taking in all the baby dolls words. It's a super risky gambit for day one, so she's probably on the level... I'll be in touch, sweets

  22. Actually, I brought something similar up, but the general consensus was that this forum is better being busy, rather than having only two or three active topics at a time, and I can understand that logic

  25. It's up! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62175 I expect it to get buried in Heroica pretty quickly, so I'm linking to it here
