  1. I agree with that logic. Lynn is the scum we know. At the very least, the game can be postponed till tomorrow, though whoever is alive will be in the same situation, since it's guaranteed that both 'cops' will still be alive, and I bet both would jump on the lynch bandwagon to appear town. I'm leaning to Derrick being the real cop though. He's had erratic behavior, but I think it's just a matter of not being able to play. I think Patti is too smart to reveal she's the cop for no reason, unless she was convinced she could end the game by doing so. Vote: Lynn (Trumpetking)
  2. You have pretty whiny comprehension of twisting words, since you made an issue of 'listening to Carla' and literally having no explanation when pressed on it.
  3. Desiree was certainly suspicious, but you made a big issue of Derrick not investigating the most suspicious in Alec. So you investigated me though you didn't think I was scummy? To be honest, I'm usually up front and bold when I'm scum, and when I'm a PR. I'm just really tired from work these days, and drank more than I should on the weekend to "blow off steam." I really feel like Lynn was the investigation choice last night, for whoever the cop is. I have to reread it. I would have thought you were scummier than me though. I assumed Patti considered me most suspicious since she made a point of saying that's what the cop had to do. I think in a normal, long game, the cop can try to build up a town alliance in the first few days with 'useful' players, but that's crazy in a game where you may only get two nights to use a night action. I was aiming my comment more at Patti, but figure Derrick should answer too. As I said above, you were the one who should have been investigated. It's great to pin godfather on me, but actually, that would have been a cause for me to go super-townie in thread, and invite an investigation. And strange, you forget that Theodore could be godfather as well. The godfather stays home at night. My worst crime this game has been apathy, which as a semi-regular host, is kind of crappy of me, but I will be able to properly apologise to the host of this game later on.
  4. Okay, questions: Patti, why did you claim cop today? We are close to the end of the game, but if we lynch scum today, the cop is still very useful. Why did you investigate Desiree? Why me? Derrick, why did you investigate Alec? Why me? Who do you suspect the last two scum are? For the record, I'm not offended that I was "investigated" by both, but I was unaware that I was the most suspicious living person last night.
  5. Normally, I would go with the first claim being legit, but there are two things that make me question it: 1. Derrick wasn't really under pressure to claim, and if anything, two of the three of us were leaning towards Lynn. That makes her claim actually sound like a counter-claim. and 2. This is Patti. I've played with Patti. I've worked with Patti. I know she knows how to be balls to the wall crazy. The scum only need one mis-lynch to win the game, so jumping out at the start of the day to say she's the cop would be really damn clever. The only thing that might go against this is that she probably would have fingered someone as scum to direct the lynch. Softly pointing at townies is effective too. This is going to be a hard vote, a real Tammo's Choice.
  6. This is taking me way back to the Belleville mafia. Same situation. Five left, likely two scum... if the scum win the day, they win the game. If town wins the day, the scum still survive, so we can'T mislynch. I'm not 100% convinced of Dunn's innocence since scum are only killing once a night, meaning one is possibly not doing anything, but it's best to work the odds, and focus on Lynn and Derrick. Derrick has been at least as suspicious to me, if not more so. I'm going to have to surf through the last few days. Tomorrow though, had a few drinks. Tomorrow is a national holiday, bunkanohi. That means daddy drinks too much.
  7. That doesn't rule out godfather. The godfather usually sits on their butt at night. With 20 players, that's a slight, 5% chance of the role. With six (seven minus the tracker claim)? That's up to a 17% chance.
  8. Unvote Deseree (medium snowman) Unless we have some secret roles not announced yet, Deseree will be out tonight. Nobody has counter-claimed, and it's just too risky for scum to make a verifiable claim on day three. I'm not totally sold on Trenton. Not knowing that the scum kill gets passed around is baffling, but it doesn't sound like the kind of mistake a scumbum would make.
  9. I am baffled. What is worse than giving up like a n00b? Saying you've stopped talking because someone said you should.Town is not reactive and playing to the group, since they don't need to be. Scum? Dumb? Scum? Dumb?
  10. Well, at least the silence has been broken. I know there's only seven of us, but just sailing to a lynch is a little discomforting. I feel like if Desiree was scum, there would be more going on, or at least Desiree would be saying more than just fluff. I'm not unvoting just yet, but I want to hear more from people.
  11. Whatever issues I have with Derrick's rapid fire accusal technique today, I'm still more pinged by Desiree's weak accusations yesterday, and her hard defense today. I called her out for not acknowleding a vote yesterday, and she has completely changed approaches today. It's be nice to say she's just taking advice from players to improve her game, but that's not the vibe I get. It's more an over-correction to avoid a lynch, but it makes me want to lynch her all the more. Irony Vote Desiree (Mediumsnowman) Bedtime.
  12. What does "Listening to Carla mean" then? How should we look into Patti? How have you looked into Patti? Can you quote the exact passage(s) that Carla spoke we need to listen to? Without going back to yesterday to reread, I had the feeling that Carla wanted Patti as the top lynch subject. "Listening to Carla" sounds like "lynch Patti," more or less, to me.
  13. Now, I know it's bad form to speak ill of the dead, but there is experience, and there's experience. I don't recall a single time he ever posed a threat to the scum team except those times he was a member of the scum team. I'm going to go with random. What of what Carla said should we listen to? In your own words, I won't twist them. Scum sometimes silence someone speaking too much truth, but I don't think it's usually done on day one over such an off-hand remark. Your enthusiasm to lynch Benton is noted though. You sure work hard when your name has come up today, a total 180 on your play style yesterday. Coaching?
  14. No no no. Carla had as much to go on with her accusation as anybody did with their votes on Carla. Lynching Patti cuz Carla said so is very very bad play.
  15. I'm not going to say I have zero vibes on Patti: I know she is a brash, erratic player. That said, I totally concur that Carla being town doesn't make Patti scum. The number of times that two townies fought amounts themselves as the scum giggled in the background is probably countable on this site, but uncountable on the Internet as a whole. I still think Desiree was weak in her votes, and seemed a little coached in her getting a vote from me. If the cop found anything, I don't know the best way to spill it. They should probably just do a Google search rather than take advice from anyone here.
  16. Anybody who isn't Desiree?
  17. Does anyone find it odd that Desiree didn't even acknowledge that she got a vote?
  18. Now this is the first scummy thing I've seen you say. Especially in a game like this, we have little to go on, so the lynch is crucial for better or worse. Right now, the person pinging me most is Desiree. She's playing the 'me too!' game. Her vote on Carla is very safe and not well-justified. She's seems to be playing a typical scum shadow game, not out front, not at the back, and not saying anything original. If my vote is needed for a lynch, I'm willing to change it. Vote: Desiree (MediumSnowman)
  19. I'm not feeling too strong on anyone, but I'm never a fan of lynching people for being active or sharing ideas. What is the case on Carla? She posited something about game mechanics? I'll have to go through day one again before voting, but I don't remember a whole lot being said by anybody.
  20. Shit, I'm a little drunk (late on Friday) but I want to put my two cents in early. I think the watcher was a better choice than the tracker as Carla said, since we are without a private communication system. I don't want town roles to give themselves away, but if the cop fingered a scum publicly, the watcher is a clear line of defense for them. Scum couldn't kill the cop without outing themselves. People were throwing shade on Carla yestersat and today, but she'S one of the ones that doesn't seem so scummy today.
  21. This is quite a good line of thinking. Our voting 'rules' are vague, and have no mention of unvoting for power role elections. Does God want to elaborate on changing votes?
  22. The goal of a good cop would be to make a case against scum that would motivate the town to lynch without actually coming out and saying it. It's a different game, but in the Eurobricks Mafia, that was the only way to successfully use results without making a public declaration. It's a pain in the butt for the cop, and the tracker too, but it's important to keep identities quiet while we have the numbers. Whoever gets the roles needs to push the vote with other techniques. Vote: Cop Vote: Tracker
  23. The doctor is rarely useful, so I don't vote for that. Cop is a no-brainer. After that, tracker seems best to me, since we can target suspicious people and also verify vanilla claims with it. Watcher is useful, but requires knowing who scum will target, rather than just who looks scummy.
