Red Menace Mafia: Conclusion - Das Boot
def replied to jimmynick's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I didn't say I should be protected, I said that either I or Jluck were most likely to be targeted. That was town logic, and basically true. You were acting crazy in thread, and not an obvious scum target. It's moot anyway, since I was lying about being in touch with the protector. You weren't screwed over at all, since the 'protector' was scum Dave -

They had great reason to trust me. I was investigated and cleared, then I led a lynch on you When someone leads a lynch on scum day 2, it's hard not to trust them. I'm sorry, and I'm sorry to MostlyTechnic. I've never won as a surviving scum, so the first couple of (real) days, it was nerve wracking, but by the end, I was pretty relaxed. I kept repeating what I was saying to Dave on the Writeboard. "I can't see how we can lose." "We have this locked." I did okay, but the town made a few mistakes which allowed me to do much better: -Mencot, in PM, said, this game is too small to have a godfather. What?! I know you were trying Mencot, but you missed some fundamentals, and I didn't correct you. -Bob, you were going to claim traitor to me? Well, you could have on day two, but I would have lynched you even harder. Your death was super useful. -Calanon, you were the reason we won. Nobody had claimed doctor, even though we had claimed power roles in public and a successful lynch. You never contacted anyone. So as of day two, Dave was the doctor. I didn't tell the 'town block' until day three, but we had time coded PMs to share at a moment's notice if needed. Anyway, if you had been active, you could have spun the game on day four, and won the game. It might suck to hear it, but we finally won because you just rolled over day four. Be active! To Jluck and Monty, you guys needed to be more conservative! I kept telling Monty in PM, be conservative! No need to put an unclaimed vanilla in the town block, I had zero reason to be in contact with Monty. It should have been Mencot talking to me and Jluck, and then Monty talking to Jluck and Mencot, and keeping a layer of distance. No reason to even have me know about Jluck or Monty at all. And Monty, I kept telling you, you don't have to kill every night, but you did anyway, except that last night when we blocked you, since you actually targeted scum. You guys are good sports, and I knew how screwed over you were going to feel by around the end of day three. Hopefully you don't feel dirty over this. James, I think you were a fair host, and I know why you had free investigations everyday: so we could find the traitor. But three free night actions a day was too much for a game with so few players. If the number of winners shrank each day to zero day four, maybe that would work. But having those abilities out there was a lot to deal with. And having a game possibly won through puzzle solving rather than gameplay would have been very unsatisfying for all around; it's mafia, not sudoku! Other than that, maybe you should have mentioned a traitor in the opening, so town at least had a concept that there might be four scum. The town was certain that three was the number. I've never played with a traitor though, so I don't know in that regards. But I think you did a good job hosting, especially staying out of the scum boards -

That's where my head is at. If we had a blocker, I would be a little more conservative about killing him tonight. We have a very loooooooong day ahead of us. I wonder if the sun would set earlier if we had a unanimous vote? -

You're in a crap position, and I respect that you want to maintain your towniness. It shows you're a committed player and a good sport in the face of defeat. But the fact is, basically you're left, and you've done nothing to even appear town. The only reason you're still around is that Boris was even more obviously scummy, and he had to go yesterday. If you had some more experience, you would have known to vote against him hard early in the day rather than throw your vote at Christopher. Again, I respect the attitude you show, but, well, the game should be over tomorrow -

Hey guys on the submarine! Know what makes games fun? Anal retentiveness. The more anal retentive, the more fun! I know Hinckley does it, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea whatsoever. Some rules are very important, and some are merely guidelines for people having fun. Anyway... Unvote: Monty (mostlytechnic) Vote: Boris (Bob) -

Well, I want to get this out of the way while we have time. I have talked to the cop and some others, and we have a little town block going. Vig, if you can trust me (and you're not an SK), please get in touch. My main concern is killing someone we need in the coming days. I have trust in them, and we can win this fairly easily if we work together. If we aren't together, things might crumble. If scum are down to two (supposing there were three to start, which is most likely) , that would put us at 8:2. We are probably okay, but theoretically, they could win in two days (two x mislynch, vig mis-kill, and their regular kills). Let's lock this down. Screw those scumbums. And for the rest of you, feel free to vote anytime! We need your input! -

I know I go on and on about wanting people to explain things, but some info came up that has moved him off to the side. Again, like Christopher, I'm not going to vouch for them. He's just not in my first line of suspects. -

That's basically it. He had no idea she would be killed night one, so it seems weird to point her out if they were on the same team. You read <not to imply you don't, just that I'm happy to see someone else doing it!> -

For the time being, I'm amending this list to: Monty, Edward, and Boris Vote: Monty (mostlyTechnic) I have a logic for it, but I want to see how others vote, if there is anyone else even here. All I hear is crickets. I'll be happy to explain it after the votes start coming in. Anyone have any luck with that puzzle? I suck at codes. It depends on what the prize is whether it's safe to say, but it would be nice to know it's been claimed. -

I didn't insult you (except to say you were a dip when you wrote something dippy), and answered your questions. What didn't get answered? So you think both Jeremy and Adrienne tried to do a last minute seal the deal scum vote? It's possible that there was Writeboard miscommunication, but I find it unlikely two scum would be that uncoordinated.
