Some forums do that, but I don't think it's needed here. The opinions here never get racy, so I'm at no risk of being fired over my participation here. I gotta be me

My last pic on this thread was fairly unflattering. Don't know why I posted it Here's a little more handsome pic of myself, clean-shaven, and pants-free to boot. You lucky folks, you never knew you'd get to see a pants-free Eurobricks member, did you... (The lovely lady is my daughter, An-Chan) Yes, folks, this is def.

I gave it above average. I bought one for myself, and another three to sell while I was in Canada. I love the figure. The color, design, and texture. The price was not really good ($5 Canadian plus tax) but it I like the figure a lot, so much so that I'm considering not selling one or two, so I can have more . I didn't buy any other Atlantis sets, but this one was cool enough that I'm looking at the rest of the theme when it's released in Japan.

Some of my favorite films have no story But, as a Canadian, war stories are pretty far from my upbringing, so I'll need to see it to know how it fares. I love Full Metal Jacket, but I was offended by the stupidity of Platoon and turned it off about 40 minutes in. But better than Avatar? That's a large, hard to believe statement. I've had dental checkups better than Avatar, particularly the ones that involved gas.

All the nerd ones Yeah, he deserved the SFX awards, the movie looked good. I haven't seen the Hurt Locker so I don't know if it's an any better story.

I was not collecting when this came out, but now I'd really love a Spider-Man set. I don't know if this would be the best one though. Thanks for illuminating us with this review!

I much preferred the Manta minifig set to this, and didn't take the chance to buy this. It looks alright, but I just didn't want a diver on a sea-jet more than a Manta-man. Still, for five bucks, it's not too much, and I was kind of dumb to not pick it up when I had the chance. Thanks for the review, Whitie!

I got a half-price Clone Wars Y-Wing without the minifigs. I have too many Anakins and Snipses, but I kind of want a new R2-D2. I figure I'll get one in a cheaper set. The Y-Wing is a good deal for that price.

Nice one Yumi! I think I'll have to be extra-strict as a teacher on your reviews though I think the tutorials in the Academy will do the trick, but let me know if you need any advice

I'm at about $100 a month, no specific theme, and when it's on sale. I've been saving in other places a bit and hope to raise that to $150. That's less than 5% of my paycheck, which seems reasonable, kind of. I mostly buy either one large set (Brickbeard's Bounty is next, then the Endor playset), or a mid and a small (City Corner and a Freeco speeder last month). I can't wait for sales, they're too undependable around here.

I'm currently 75% of the way in on the SNES: A link to the Past game. I still love it, but I don't remember where everything is. I still have Majora's Mask as a WiiWare download, and the first DS game, Phantom Hourglass unplayed... I don't really feel like playing any other games right now.

I was really impressed by this film. It wasn't what I was expecting, even though I've seen all of Tarantino's previous films. I loved them all more or less, except Death Proof. I find his trailers don't promote the movie accurately. I was pretty surprised by Kill Bill 1& 2 too. Just not what I was expecting, but that was what was delightful, watching a movie and being surprised, but that the writing wasn't gimmicky. The people who don't like the movie, well... This was a mature movie. People talking, people not using English, it's not a crowd-pleaser. It's a movie for people who like movies. The intensity of a lot of scenes got to me. The restaurant scene, when the Nazi officer orders the girl pastry, this scene was sooooo tense. If your heart wasn't racing in anticipation, you were watching a different movie than me. This might be Tarantino's best, but it's hard to say, since Kill Bill 2 was so phenomenal.

The N64 Ocarina of Time is the one to do. It firmly rests between the early games and the current 3-D ones. The Wii one is amazing, but it may make some of Ocarina seem quaint. I find it's hard to go backwards in any series I play. That's the game to go with.

Thanks for another illuminating review. Perhaps it's your enthusiasm, but you make me want to buy sets! I love these big sets, but they make me a little tired with their time and size and all, and I firmly wasn't planning to buy this... But then somebody gives enough attention to the details, and a hunger is awakened. Now I don't know what I'll do if I don't get these new curved arches.

Lovely review, and with this I've been getting excited about these Classic Space sets. I only brought one set back with me last time I was home, and I wish I'd brought them all back. They are a lot of fun. Always more to buy Thanks!

I must go to bed soon, there has been too much intrigue this day. If I don't wake up, please remember those who led you down the wrong path when my Honoured status is revealed tomorrow.
-
As they have done to me and Pvt. Entaine. At worst, we can be declared hasty equals, but nonetheless, I am being railroaded here. The leadership has already led you to wrongly condemn one innocent man, Pvt. Entaine, and you'll let help them do it a second time? Lynch mob. If we can learn one thing from history, rampant mobs will be the undoing of the honoured.

Crazy crazy stuff tonight. Sayid is lost. People are dead. Not-Locke is on the move. This is one of the busiest paced stories I've ever seen on network TV. Not a wasted moment.
-
I have said too much today. But allow me to briefly summarize: Lieutenant Pedro Pellsan voted for Pvt. Entaine. I correctly claimed it was unjust. This has been shown true, because he withdrew his accusation. Therefore I was justified in being suspicious of him. He then voted for me, because I went after the leadership that had tried to lead us in the wrong direction. I am being punished for having the good judgment to find his initial vote for Entaine wrong. Since the Lieutenant has himself admitted he made a mistake in condemning her, should he not commend me for having the integrity to do what was right, and go against him in this situation? Should I be loyal to a Lieutenant or to my country?
-
Is this not the same as you? The two I voted for both exhibited suspicious behaviour, so I voted. And that makes me a suspicious person worth voting for? The irony. Should I have not voiced and voted my suspicions? Would that have made me a more loyal soldier? If I get lynched from this, there will be a lot of regret tomorrow. At least on the third day, you will be able to confidently point your fingers at your leadership for having railroaded me, despite me being honest at all times.

I can sense a disturbance in the Force. A Sith Lord approaches. And his rage can hardly be contained

This is madness. Perhaps I have stirred the pot too much, but my vote for the Lieutenant was as I have stated. He first placed a vote for Pvt. Entaine, with no reason other than that he missed his family. From which point, others quickly formed a mob. Does this not sound unjust to you? Is this not a reason enough for me to cast a vote? I feel I have clearly explained myself. The Lieutenant made a vote that seemed reckless and unfounded. Looking at the privates, I have yet to see any behaviour that is out of the ordinary, but from our surviving leadership, I have seen only suspicious behaviour, again, as I explained before. For our captain to be murdered as he was, I can't help but to suspect there was assistance from those in power. If I die, it will be as an honoured. And I will happily die for my country. It is madness for you to punish me for trying to find justice here. At the least, my motives for voting for Dalese and the Lieutenant are far more substantial than their motives for voting against me. And the same goes to any of you who are voting for me. Please review the history so far to see that I haven't misled anyone. If I'm guilty of anything, it's of having a lack of decent information, information that should have already been supplied to us all by our provost guards, according to the words of our good captain. I implore you to review the history here. Shortly thereafter: This is an example of an unjust vote. Furthermore, the Lieutenant has withdrawn the vote which was the reason I cast my vote initially against him, and instead shifted opinion against me. Oh, how the deserters are laughing right now. But, in light of the Lieutenant withdrawing his unjust vote against Pvt Entaine, I will respectfully withdraw my vote against him. I will not cast a vote as a revenge tactic. Unvote: Lieutenant Pedro Pellsan

Why do Canadians say toque?
