DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think the set will be no more than $200, since it's a Batcave after all, not a "Classic TV Series in general" set. I'd expect a classic Batmobile, the Cave itself and a couple more vehicles. Four good guys and the four central villains (maybe one villain vehicle or large trap/weapon) will complete the set.- 8,446 replies

There are two nostalgic D2Cs!

At my LEGO Store yesterday, the only set on the SD shelf was a single copy of the Lighthouse! We don't know much, but there's a "nostalgic" D2C set coming out next year. Could it be from this theme?

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Two D2Cs from one theme wouldn't come out in one year. I'm guessing it's a Simpsons or Scooby-Doo exclusive, or possibly a really classic car like the previous ones (Mini/Ferrari).- 8,446 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

It most likely is. To have all of the essential characters, it would have to be in the $120 range, and it seems like an exclusive based on its source material. However, J2G never said he saw it, just that there was a name.- 8,446 replies

If we get a Raven, I'm worried about a TTG design. I hate it. The shadow looks awful, and so does her skin tone. A comics version like the one in LB3 would be perfect. But if J2G's not optimistic about it, I wonder if I should bother. My inner DC completionist is confused. Both of those examples are flawed, though. The Helicarrier was a display model, and Arkham needed to have repeats, since it was a comics set and included Batman. This upcoming (large) 66 set cannot have repeats by nature, so all of its figures will be exclusive and there will most likely be a large number of them. Maximum number is 8, with Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Alfred, Riddler, Penguin, Joker, and Catwoman. Seeing as the past two $120 DC sets have had eight figures, this makes sense.- 8,446 replies

But each series has a focus. Series 10 had mostly civilian characters, while S11 had more fantasy characters. -

Technically, one could create an endless stack of hats by putting Scientist headpieces on top of each other! -

The other way wouldn't work with the MF head, though. I just tried it, and it ends up being bent a little when it's facing up. -

I think so. Although the only one I think needed one was the Banshee. I don't like a constantly sad minifigure, even though that's her personality. Spider Lady could have done with an angry face. LEGO should have given her a red hourglass sign as back printing! -

I'm hoping the '66 Cave is in the $120 range. It needs to be a fairly large set, and it would have to be close to that price to include all the important characters.- 8,446 replies

I think Harley will have a Harley instead of a truck. Some sort of motorcycle similar to the one she had in LEGO Batman. Since she's got pigtails and is presumably a new comic version, my guess is that her vehicle will be red and dark blue instead of red and black, since it seems like her Suicide Squad comics look is going to be used. If not, it's the Jokerland version with hair to match.- 8,446 replies

Cawoman is confirmed, since the Tiger Woman hair is a perfect match. I hope it's big and that we get Alfred, Batman, Robin, Joker, Riddler, Penguin, and Catwoman. I hope that Harley is a solo villain in the Cycle Chase. I'm betting it'll be the red/blue New 52 look, with hair this time! These sound very promising!- 8,446 replies

It's unlikely to be in this theme. The only way I can see them being reused is for a cartoony devil CMF, which LEGO wouldn't do.- 8,446 replies

REVIEW: 71010 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14
8BrickMario replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
After thinking it over, my favorites, in order, are: 1. Banshee- Her colors (Light Aqua skin!) and design look great, and she's good in any haunted environment. 2. Wacky Witch- Props to LEGO for making a series where the witch isn't my #1 favorite! Her hairpiece is excellently molded, and her patched-up outfit is great. It's nice to see a classic Halloween/fairy tale witch done so well! 3. Spider Lady- Another excellent design. The cape is terrific! 4. Monster Scientist- I love his head extension and overall appearance. 5. Fly Monster- Good design, and the claw hand is most welcome. I also love the continuity in the series. 6. Gargoyle- Another fantastic execution of a great concept. -

The Fly Monster's head and the Tiger Woman and Wolf Guy's tails are the biggest rubber parts and should be the easiest to identify I really like this series! The Wolf Guy is disappointing and wasteful (they had no reason to make a new head mold if it's not a mask) but the Banshee, Wacky Witch, and Monster Scientist look fantastic! -

Looking again, there's just so much printing! Tiger Woman and Skeleton Guy really stand out, but I love that they even printed a patch on the Wacky Witch's arm when they didn't need to. That combined with her hairpiece have definitely moved her into my Top 4. Sorry, Fly Monster. -

I'm rather disappointed in the Wolf Guy. Why make a new head mold if it's not going to be a mask? That seems really wasteful. The Monster Scientist's real face looks good, and I'm overjoyed to see 360-degree head printing on the Skeleton Guy. I think the last time that happened, it was on Alfred! The Banshee looks fantastic. Excellent colors, printing (even on the back!) and design. I would have liked to see at least one double face, though. I think it's really nice that the skirt and capes finally get instructions! -
I like the Arcade Gamer, and I suppose it makes sense, as characters from the MA games would be less family-friendly. Oz looks fantastic, and notice how the guy said the WW is the Oz character for the first year? Dorothy/Scarecrow and Lion/Tin Man Team Packs could happen next year! Stay Puft is sorta cute, but I think his blank stare captures his creepiness, too. Perhaps someday we'll get a reissue with his freaky angry face?

It's not a good idea to, as it usually clutters a topic with wishlists. I'd expect some more City-themed characters this time around, since the past few have leaned toward the fantastical and historical.
