  1. I would hate that. While it's a bit of a race this way, it's so much more convenient to feel the bags. Boxed figures would lead me to spend much more than I wanted to.
  2. Interesting day today. I went to the biggest mall in Illinois, and its LEGO store and TRU outlet both sold out of S14. The nearby TRU proper had less than 20, but I was able to find a Tiger Woman, Fly Monster, and Specter. * Fly Monster- I must be losing it, because I think he's adorable. He's such a cool design, and his claw hand is just great. * Specter- He's a good figure. His chain was nearly impossible to fit on his hands (for some reason, the stud connection on a fresh CMF hand has to be broken in), but I was surprised to see it's gunmetal, not dark grey. It's great to see that hood in grey again, and his robe is nice. * Tiger Woman- She's okay. Not really my thing, and she's a bit too awkward to an adult mind, but her printing is really nice.
  3. Graveyards are generally acceptable places to find cross imagery, for some reason. Anywhere else, and it's taboo...
  4. Whoopee. Now. no matter what LEGO does with the pigtails Harley, someone will be unhappy. I just want her to be an accurate representation of either of her New 52 looks, while I'm seeing many other hopes for blonde-haired or outright movie versions. I just hope it's not a clumsy hybrid. I would guess that it will not be based even remotely on the movie version, as it would seem very out of place in a comic-based set and they might not be allowed to do so, but the problem is that when she's not hatted, she's got pigtails, which still leaves us with too many possibilities. I wish we could look at the prelims to see if there are any other clues about the sets and the figs. It seems odd to not have any new prints in the Racers, but there may turn out to be...
  5. Dana Barrett from Ghostbusters, having been possessed by the demon Zuul. Right now she's only a cameo on the box art of the GB Level Pack, but it would be cool to see her be released.
  6. Unintentional-I mean, I totally meant to do that. Yeah.
  7. I'm so stupid. I literally just realized the pun behind Jay Walker's name...
  8. New 52 Poison Ivy: SH Ivy head/hair CMF Plant Monster body Black arms/hands and legs. I know it's far from perfect, but it's fairly close.
  9. That's why I don't want that. They've already made a cheap Harley for Jokerland, so I think it would be better if this one spared nothing. It all depends on source material, though. Arkham games/Squad movie- blonde w/highlights Squad comics- red/blue Harley series- red/black, Jokerland body I'd say the second option is more likely due to tying in with the movie, but it could also be the third.
  10. I would hate that. I don't care which colorscheme they choose, but I'd infinitely prefer fully-colored hair, rather than blonde with highlights or whatever.
  11. That's what the prelims show, but it might be a placeholder. Red/blue would make sense as a loose tie-in to the Squad movie, but red/black would save them some money on new prints and allow them to get away with calling it "NEW!"
  12. Zuul-Dana. It doesn't look quite like the Banshee hair, but it might just be animation.
  13. The middle one is what I hope we get next year. It's more unique.
  14. I think they go so well together!
  15. I agree. PEOPLE, WE ARE ONLY LEGO'S TARGET AUDIENCE 10% OF THE TIME! LEGO is first and foremost marketed to children, and good for them if an older collector shows interest. What I appreciate is that a set as simplistic as Juniors can still include something for us to appreciate and seek after. I would save the complaints, because we might be pleasantly surprised.
  16. Looking back, I find it interesting how complicated this series' history (in terms of info) was. *Pics are released of 11 incomplete figures, people mostly hate them. The ones shown are the Tiger Woman, Zombie Businessman, Wacky Witch, Monster Scientist, Plant Monster, Skeleton Guy, Spider Lady, Monster Rocker, Zombie Cheerleader, Zombie Pirate, and Wolf Guy. * Later, a Czech list is revealed, filling in the blanks: A Fly monster, Grim Reaper, Gargoyle, Bigfoot, and Specter are the supposed remaining five. Pics of the Gargoyle's headpiece and Fly Monster's head prove their existence, while the hood is assumed to be the Grim Reaper's. A translucent hairpiece is assumed to belong to the Specter, who would be the fifth female. Some confusion with the Czech translation (which should have been a red flag) removes and then reinstates the Monster Rocker in the group. * Later, a catalog image shows off the finished Spider Lady, Monster Rocker, and Skeleton Guy. Still, the reactions are mixed. Now we know the head on the SG in the early photos isn't his, but it seems unfitting for a female Specter or a Grim Reaper... * A blog reveals the completed Spider Lady, Plant Monster, Gargoyle. Specter, Square Foot, Zombie Cheerleader, Monster Rocker, and Skeleton Guy. A bit of confusion is had, but the cloaked figure is identified as the Specter. With the Grim Reaper being the only fig we haven't seen leaks of, curiosity abounds, especially since he would seem to edge out the fifth female, and that translucent hair wouldn't be in the series! * A new list removes the Grim Reaper, and replaces him with a Banshee, a figure who would be the perfect candidate for the mysterious hair. The GR is written off as a translation error, and a checklist photo soon proves the list correct. What I found so interesting is that nobody doubted for a second that the Grim Reaper was in this series. We all trusted the translation, and the hood piece seemed to sell everyone on it. When the hood turned out to be the Specter's, we still believed he was the 16th character, even though we now knew that we had no proof of it besides a dodgy list! Only when the second list changed the translation to Banshee did we reconsider and put the pieces together. I just hope S15 is more straightforward in terms of news...
  17. Maybe we'll even get Zombie Villagers someday!
  18. The Specter is really growing on me...I hope I'll be able to find him soon!
  19. The definiton of "mythology" encompasses a lot. But I don't think monsters count, as they're not part of an organized group of stories. Dracula and the like are legends that don't belong to a greater mythology.
  20. Oh, please let them have prepared for this...I can't bear to not complete this series!
  21. It is a futuristic theme...
  22. Robin Hood used a longbow... It does make sense to see the stud-shooting bowcaster in this theme, though.
  23. I'll definitely be interested in the Wither. I wonder how they'll do the Villager's folded arms. I hope we'll get Witches someday, too. in a Swamp set with some Slimes.
