  1. I need Berp and Vaka-Waka. I can skip the others, although I might pick up Forx for his grey bananas.
  2. Yes, LEGO "caved" to the Muslim group by discontinuing the set. Actually, the set was discontinued right on schedule, but LEGO acted like it was earlier than intended to pacify them.
  3. Mr. Burns had it too. Spider Lady didn't, though. It seems varied, but giving them a bar accessory might loosen their hands up to normal. I'm not sure.
  4. CMF hands are resistant at first to stud connections. I had the same problem.
  5. Considering the Jabba's Palace issue, I think LEGO would stay far away from any religions that are still being practiced in large numbers. But folklore and mythology are quite different. Baba Yaga doesn't fit into a created universe, she's just another tale. The Greek and Roman myths are tied together by the gods and fantastical locations in the stories.
  6. It's small to fit on the base and allow it to work with the toys-to-like gimmick. Several of the vehicles have already been made in a minifig scale in existing sets.
  7. I simply didn't need all of S6. I don't see them as "ages". I see a few golden minifigures per series, as each one is a mixed bag (even when themed) and I always like some figures more than others. In S1, the Robot was my favorite, then the Witch, Space Alien, The Monster, Cavewoman, Clockwork Robot, Ocean King, Vampire Bat, Mr. Good and Evil, Medusa, Marsha, Maggie Simpson, Goblin, Patty and Selma, and the Banshee, Spider Lady, and Gargoyle. So there's no golden age for me, as every series manages to produce great figures.
  8. I completed Series 1 through 5, but I realized I was wasting money on figs I didn't want and only got the ones I wanted afterward. However, I hope to complete S14 because I want every single one! I own zero Team GB figs, and I regret not buying some of the S6 characters. I usually collect fantasy, spooky, space, and mythological figs for the characters, but a City-themed fig may sometimes catch my interest with a new piece or something.
  9. A Celtic vampire could be very unique.
  10. There are other themes. I won't be surprised if a more normal Historical theme emerges as a two-to-three wave theme to please the traditional Castle consumers. Nobody said this was outright replacing historical Castle.
  11. Another possibility is a "Watchman" (Argus) figure with several black beady minifig eyes printed all over his face, arms, torso, and legs. Perhaps he could have a sleepy face with his facial eyes closed.
  12. I'm surprised Olivia hasn't invented a mech to terrorize Heartlake City with yet! This is a toy, however. LEGO relies on cool-looking visuals and models, and supplements it with a story. Everything is done to appeal to children, so it's not going to make most AFOLs happy.
  13. That Zombie Pirate looks fantastic. I might have to seek him out now. Although my next picks will probably be the Zombie Businessman, Skeleton Guy, Square Foot, and Plant Monster. This has been such a great series that I'm not sure which my favorite is, or if I even own my favorite yet!
  14. I doubt Jestro will reuse Harley's hat. They've already stretched it with the Jokerland set. I wouldn't be surprised if his secondary color is very different.
  15. I'm not surprised that this isn't historical. And I don't mind. We've gotten a lot of historical material in the past few years, so I think a different direction is fine.
  16. Oaken's literally abandoned his post! The castle sounds interesting, although the slide sounds awful, I wonder if the little Snowgies will be brick-built or a new mold?
  17. My TRU is naturally distrustful, as their CMFS are packaged in video-game boxes in groups of three to prevent people from ripping them open and stealing the parts. That's why I don't buy there. Audrey is the name of the monstrous plant in Little Shop of Horrors.
  18. Really? I've found this to be a very easy series. Here are some tips for those who are having trouble. Banshee: Large irregular leg piece with the unique footprint, confirm with the textured hair. Wacky Witch: Feel for the brim of her hat and the jagged hair underneath, or the broomstick. Gargoyle: The short legs and the wings are very distinctive, but the cranium is also fairly easy to identify Monster Scientist: Either the cylindrical head part with the textured hair or the flask are good identifiers. Spider Lady: The big dress brick is an instant giveaway. Fly Monster: This one's sort of tricky, but if you feel a large round piece with two thinner projections, that's his head. I didn't feel the wings, but those might be helpful. Tiger Woman: The whip is easy to find, and the flip of her hairstyle is very easy to feel. Specter: Same as the Banshee, just confirm with the hood instead. Zombie Pirate: The ring of his beard is very easy to feel, as is his sword. Zombie Businessman: The briefcase seems to be folded in packs now, so look for that. The tile might also help. Plant Monster: Hands-down, the easiest one to find. Guess why. Wolf Guy: Feel for the gap where the torso goes, and the flatter, more curved head shape. Square Foot: Feel for the gap, but make sure it's a very round piece. For him and the Wolf Guy, the lack of a normal minifig head is also a clue. Zombie Cheerleader: Her hair is pretty easy to feel, and her fuzzy pom-poms would definitely help. Skeleton Guy: The pumpkin bucket and the handle are what you need to look for. Monster Rocker: The guitar with its peg on the back is the best way to find him.
  19. I finally got a Gargoyle cranium! I've also set up a little base for my collection, with a spooky sign.
  20. I'd rather wait patiently! These riddles and mysterious hints are extremely unhelpful, since all they do is create confusion and wild speculation. I don't understand it. If you're technically not allowed to share anything, then why do so? Concrete news is something that can be talked about. But extremely vague hints just make everybody as obsessed and insane as one of Batman's foes.
  21. I've never gotten any bad reception for feeling the bags. It's perfectly acceptable at LEGO stores, of course (I remember a huge communal S10 feeling party, where everyone found what the other was looking for), but even at other stores, I've never been harassed about it. The only encounter I had was when another man and I were both feeling S12 packs, and he was looking for the Spooky Girl. I immediately started looking even faster so I could find her, but I found her after he left...in the pile of bags he had already checked. I think the plastic does have some issues. The legs and arms are still loose on some of them, and the head/headgear clutch on some of them still has problems. But they are definitely improving their molding, with almost every figure getting at least one part made of two plastics, and the printing is quite extravagant for this theme. I just realized how disappointed I am in LEGO for not making a joke in the bios involving the Plant Monster and Fly Monster...
  22. Agreed, Keeping the thread active can be to its detriment if there's no actual content in the posts. Be patient. These sets won't be out for a long while, anyway, so we should certainly be able to wait for news.
