  1. That would make him a centaur...the middle of the horse is going to line up with the middle of his body, and the guy will have legs with the horse piece around his waist. He won't be taking the place of a horse's head on a horse body.
  2. The Scuttler is much too heavy a model for those joints, even when freshly assembled. This frustration was one of the reasons I have disassembled it. With those ratcheting joints, I don't really know if there's a way to increase the friction, though.
  3. I've edited the Nymph's bio a little to avoid any wrong impressions.
  4. Nymph "Is Nature safe from no one?" The elusive Nymph lives in the meadows and forests where Nature is at its purest. For fun, she plays with the insects, weaves plants into lovely garments, rests in trees, and splashes in the streams. Her beautiful home may look like a paradise, but there's just one problem. The Faun always destroys it. While he's certainly friendly and plays the catchiest melodies on his flute, he creates a mess wherever he goes. How many times has she had to clean fur from the ponds, mourn the errant bugs unfortunate enough to be underhoof, or to apologize to the grass that has been eaten? Surely a fellow nature lover should have care for the wild, but despite his pleasant company and love for her home, he's just not worth having over. And she thought humans were the biggest problem! Date Night Guy "Am I trying too hard?" This is the one! The girl that's going to change his life and become his wife...right? She's beautiful, smart, funny, and the Date Night Guy's got all the gifts. Flowers, teddy bears, chocolates, balloons, novelty T-shirts...it's Valentine's Day every night for this guy! So why are all the kisses placed on his cheek, and why do all the ladies not respond to his follow-up calls? Well, maybe he's laying it on a little thick. But the poor Date Night Guy sees only sincerity in his efforts to impress. Why do they all seem repelled by his enthusiasm? Ah, well. The Date Night Guy knows that she's out there somewhere. Maybe he'll leave out the balloons next time.
  5. Ha, you know my memory better than I do! Well then, this bodes well for an earlier reveal for S18!
  6. LEGO no longer shows their CMF series at Toy Fairs; they stopped after Series 5, I believe. Now, they just show a blank case with blank figure graphics and all we see is the series' color.
  7. We've seen absolutely no proof that LEGO has seen or stolen any of Robert8's work. While it's arguable if they take Ideas submissions, that's still a rather cynical view of their practices. @Robert8: Quote now added!
  8. Well, LEGO has a female knight in Nexo Knights, an a unicorn-mascot knight costume is far from historically accurate. But I assumed it was male, too, because it fits with LEGO's traditional silliness and this way, we'd have a unicorn costume for both genders.
  9. Another fantastic series here. The Gravedigger, Toy Clown, and Closet Monster especially. Okay, making 100% sure that I'm not treading on someone else's bios again: Closet Monster "RAAAARGHHHH- Oh, no, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" At midnight, when the darkness is at its peak and children are sound alseep, the things that go bump in the night come out. The Closet Monster is one of them. He knows the drilll: Arms up, teeth bared, eyes glowing, but while he can go through with the scare, it always breaks his heart. The poor kids were just trying to have a nice sleep, so he always calms them down with a torrent of apologies, a fuzzy hug, and sometimes, a bedtime story or a trip down to the kitchen to get them some warm milk and cookies. Though he tries and tries to be scary and tough, the Closet Monster can never quite commit. When he slips under the bed and disappears to the next house, he steels his resolve, but the same routine follows every single time. Though he doubts himself, in the kids' houses, he's since seen happy drawings and plush dolls of him made after his visits. Perhaps a monster is better as a friend than as a nightmare. Cartoon Girl "It's a crazy world...so let me be crazy!" The Cartoon Girl has trouble sometimes with being who she wants to be. She's seen everybody else in her position, and they're all the same. Her world is so wacky and fun and surreal, so why is she expected to be the only one who doesn't participate? Her friend the Cartoon goes through a lot, and it looks like so much fun, but meanwhile, she's being kidnapped and shown off unscathed. Well, she's having none of it. Recently, the Cartoon Girl has begun to have a little more fun. She and the Cartoon have been working together now to fight the bad guys, and they're both getting twisted and transformed and sent through bizarre lands now. She's gotten a lot more out of her adventures now, and can't wait to continue. The only problem now is that her newfound enjoyment of her own world has made her hesitant to join her friend in the world of the Minifigures. And besides, even that's a little too strange for her!
  10. I thought it was an unusual facade, too, but the hinge bricks make me think it's supposed to close. I don't know why they wouldn't have photographed it that way if it were true, though.
  11. It has the external detail of a modular, but it's clearly a hinged dollhouse, and its floorplan is not going to be able to integrate. While it could be a nice starting point for a modular build, it's more like the Haunted House than Ninjago City, and is not at all designed to be grouped with the modular buildings. Even Ninjago City's compatibility is a bit of a throwaway given its lack of design integration with the existing street, and this is just a very pretty separate model like the HH, but smaller.
  12. For me, I'm always imagining what the figures are going to look like, but I don't think I've ever ruled one out on description alone, because it is so often the case that a minifigure will turn out to have a really great new mold or useful pieces even if I don't love the design, and I'll get it for that. It's when I see the product that I pass judgement, and in those cases, the only figures I don't like are the ones that don't have any redeeming pieces in addition to unappealing designs. I, for one, have high hopes for the Unicorn Knight's ridiculous concept, but I am worried about the execution. The clown is one I'm looking forward to, and in most cases, my anticipations are exceeded.
  13. There are elephants with only tutus, though:
  14. That forest nymph (drayd?) is really beautiful. I'd love to see that produced.
  15. I don't know if popularity is much of a determinant, as the company plans out and develops things prior to the film's release, and unless they decided to cancel, it's likely that they'd continue to put out what they'd designed, regardless of circumstance. If they knew how poorly the LEGO Ninjago Movie would perform, they wouldn't have put so much effort into huge sets like Destiny's Bounty and Ninjago City, but those were already made. Same goes for all three waves of this line, and if there were a fourth, that would have been made beforehand, too. However, considering that the "Art of TLBM" revealed finalized figures and models only up to this third wave and second series of minifigures, I don't think we'll see a fourth wave.
  16. You know, it wouldn't work with the established "one figure per pack" route, but I would have loved a multi-person costume, like a horse, or a donkey for the partygoers to pin a tail on.
  17. This is sounding really good, actually. The cake suit being so big the figure has no legs sound hilarious, and the party clown should be great in other contexts. The spider suit sounds interesting, even though it's an obvious costume, Even with so many mascot suits, it sounds like there are going to be some really great new pieces and designs. The LEGO Fan should be really popular, too, especially since he's a CMF collector! I'll need him for sure. I don't like that there will be the first time figures can't be told apart in packaging, though. That's going to be a pain.
  18. I think there are enough modular sets by now to complete a full block/ring, so maybe they're starting a new block? The Brick Bank was the fourth corner set, so the end of the "first block", and so maybe now they're going to branch out a bit. Technically, they should have made it clearer by releasing the first corner of the "new block", if that was the case, but maybe they're moving away for more variety that will keep the line on the shelves.
  19. Ooh, I love it! A DotD minifigure of any kind would be great.
  20. I'm guessing the sailor will be female, just to avoid too much similarity to the two editions of the Series 4 Sailor. Cowboy sounds like it's not going to be too promising unless it's really different from the Western minifigures we already have.
  21. Perhaps, though I imagine it could be one piece, since there isn't an existing mold that matches the narwhal horn. EDIT: I've now gotten some of the minifigures, and I'm really happy with them, especially civvie Zane. I just now realized that Wu is providing the cereal Garmadon and Lloyd are eating, and so you can set up a family breakfast with them.
  22. I just hope the set includes the narwhal Shark Army soldier we didn't get in any of the other sets. I don't know what else the docks would include from the movie, so it might just include some generic city-building elements like the Ninjago City set itself.
  23. If we're going by vehicles, though, it may also be a mini Scuttler...
  24. I saw some of the Series 2 Minifigures at TRU yesterday...emphasis on some. There was a box of them, completely empty, with the few remaining figures stuffed into the other series' boxes. I was able to find Phosphorous (he's the only one I took care to identify fully), but I declined to get him in favor of some civilians from the Ninjago series.
